Oh man, this makes me natsukashii. I used to play MTG at school.. or I tried. It was all guys who played, and they never wanted to let me join in cos I'm a girl In the end I had tons of cards but no real knowledge of the game. I actually sold my whole collection on Ebay before I moved to Japan ^^;

I used to hang around on a lot of anime and RP forums, and I would often see CGs from Kanon posted or used as avatars. I always thought they were so pretty and wondered about the artist.. after looking around a bit I found they were from a game and I knew I just had to play it. I found my way into a couple of IRC rooms where I started downloading Japanese-language VN. Actually the first time I 'played' Kanon I was just clicking through to get to the CGs as I couldn't understand Japanese XD Then when the 2006 anime came out I watched it and could finally understand the story.. and then eventually the English patch came out! Kanon will always have a special place in my heart
