  1. Disclaimer: I am not involved with this game in any way, shape, or form. However, it is being worked on by a company I've done work for previously, Culture Select. Disclaimer 2: Penalu is my waifu, and yes I will fight you for her. Check out the Kickstarter! TL;DR, Super-cute game from a recent Comiket by MokyuSoft that is an VN with SRPG elements. 151 Pokemoncute girls to work with. I backed it on Kickstarter. Hoping this game is as cute as it looks. Here's the Press Release, if you're interested in Press Releases:
  2. Probably not related. Did you shut down site donations @Tay? I got a message from PayPal saying it was cancelled, and I'm still listed as a Backer. I'm perfectly okay with this situation if you've decided to discontinue donations, but was that intentional?
  3. Greetings all! For those who haven't heard, I have recently been involved with writing visual novels for Tsukiware. On Friday, we released our first title, Critical Hit! Mangagamer Preorder (releases 8/19) Or you can buy it on Nutaku now! This is a short D&D-style parody nukige where our androgynous protagonist Akira is tasked with retrieving something very precious to him. During his adventures, however, things don't necessarily go his way. There aren't many yaoi OELVNs out there at all, and even fewer that have 18+ scenes. If you like this sort of stuff, please check it out! And if you do check it out, we'd love to hear any feedback!
  4. I am not involved in this project in any capacity. It looks like a piece I'd enjoy though...
  5. Are you sure you didn't mix up this with that? Cause that definitely feels like this, and this definitely feels like it should be that.
  6. I could pick up the editing on this in a couple weeks. There will be a period of time where I don't think I'll be involved in any official projects for anybody, so this could give me something interesting to work on.
  7. The real reason why torrents were removed because this is 2016 and people still hate on otome games--anybody who thinks otherwise is a filthy otome hater and should get a life.
  8. Yup, you're going to want to keep reading the rest of the routes. It'll be absolutely worth it, and everything will make sense once you read the remaining routes. Sky Saga will completely answer your first question, and the Light Saga will shed some light ( ) on your second question.
  9. If I wrote a fanfiction about you, what would you want it to be about? Who would you want involved? And, since I know you wuv me, second question! When you become professional translator, can I still be your pocket editor? T_T
  10. The reason my team likes Sukisho is twofold: 1) We're fans of the light novels, the anime, and all the extras. Duh. 2) (More importantly) Sukisho was one of the very first BL titles released, and if you're interested in seeing a title that helped shape a genre, this is definitely one to look at. (Proof). The art is excellent for such an old title, and it sort of set the stage for the "grimdark" titles (80% Grim, 20% fluff). No comment.
  11. I would be remiss to not mention the project my team worked on: https://vndb.org/v6018 It's nearly 16 years old now...
  12. I will forever sit in my corner. MISS YOU ECLIPSED. AMA ?: How much do you miss me?
  13. You sly dog. I remember you mentioning you were doing something like this, and then you disappeared. I'll certainly be playing this and praising you and maybe wanting to kill you and... and... WAHHHH
  14. You forgot this one:
  15. man·pow·er ˈmanˌpou(ə)r/ noun noun: manpower the number of people working or available for work or service. "the police had only limited manpower" We lack this.
  16. Okay, here we go. Please look at the title of the thread. Should we remove the scoring system from FuwaReviews? We are keeping the summary. That has been stated in this conversation. We are not deviating from that. That will not change. If you don't want to read the quick summary, you read the entire review, and decide whether or not you want to read the VN yourself. However, this question is more aimed for those who tend to skip to the bottom of the post, look at the score, the pros and the cons, and make their decisions from there. Maybe they don't want the game spoiled even in the slightest, maybe they're in public and can't read my nukige reviews because they're NSFW. What COULD change, however, is our method of "scoring". If people like the x/10, good. If people like Decay's idea of x/5 stars, which I'm on board for (and our system allows that, whether or not it works immediately might be a different story), great. If people don't want a number and they'd rather have "Recommend, Ehh..., Don't Recommend", that's fine too, but we need to know what people prefer. We don't need criticism of the current system: We know it's not the best thing in the universe, and we are asking people what they'd like to see. @sanahtlig, your idea is great on paper. However, getting the manpower for something like this isn't something in the cards for us. Sure we could create a discussion topic and go that route, but those always tend to turn into "Fan Threads", and rarely do true criticisms of these titles come to the forefront, unless the game has zero redeeming value. I could be off there, but that's how I see it.
  17. I agree with this, wholeheartedly. But unfortunately the amount of laziness in the world essentially forces us to have a section that people can spend five seconds looking at and think they have the entire game figured out, so now we're asking what people would prefer.
  18. When we originally created the scoring system, we assumed two things: 1) That readers would understand that a nukige, an OELVN, a fan-translation (especially when they tread into the "mediocre" territory in terms of translation quality), and an official release are vastly different things that should be reviewed differently and against titles in that same vein. Who in their right goddamn mind is going to compare (for example) Muv-Luv Alternative and Panzermadels? They are both solid games in their fields, but their target audiences are completely different. 2) That people would want some sort of "TL;DR", which we formatted as a pros/cons section. A score, a "recommend/don't recommend", SOMETHING, to provide those readers with a quick answer. This is what we are talking about. Don't change the subject. Do you want A SCORE OUT OF 10, or do you want something that would be the exact same thing as numbers in the form of "Recommend, Maybe, Do Not Recommend"? To elaborate, that is the intention of this conversation. We can remove some arbitrary numbers by simply saying "Yeah I'd give this game above a x/10, so I'd recommend it. Hmm... this game is like a z/10 to y/10 game, some people might like it, while others won't. Nah... this game is garbage, definitely less than z/10, Do not recommend."
  19. I don't intend to start a war with this, but our system is no different than, let's say, a video game review magazine. Everybody has certain likes and dislikes, and rates them differently. While obviously the goal is to try to remain neutral, if something prevents us from doing that, journalisticly speaking, we would be remiss to not mention why that specific thing made or broke the game for us. As a reader, one should always take each review with a grain of salt. Not the entire damn bottle. Prior to stepping down, I was toying with the option of converting our scoring system from a "point" system to a "Recommend, Maybe, Don't Recommend" scoring system, but that could very well still create the same amount of salt. Somebody who isn't into a shota nukige is going to be incredibly far up my backend when I recommend a shota nukige, especially if they feel a moral obligation to do so.
  20. Definitely looking forward to picking this up!

  22. 안녕하세요! 내가 가입 하고 싶습니다 !
  23. Alternatively, play the game the way it's meant to be played, and don't mess with stats for characters prior to them showing up.
