I like them. They can be badasses, too. ^ Totally the cutesy boku type. Still cool as hell.

Not going to bother watching the video (Ugh, audio), but Rose Guns Days is pretty legit. In fact, I like it over the three titles you mentioned before it. Well, it's my favorite work by Ryuukishi, anyway. Though people tend to say I'm retarded for that.

Download a virtualbox (oracle should be fine?) https://www.virtualbox.org/ Get your hands into a windows XP ISO. Run the virtual box. Go through the little tutorial that will be there, select winXP, oracle will install it into the virtual box. Profit, I guess. Oh, Duel Savior also ran on Win7, so you could try that.

VN Reading Club- Deus Machina, Demonbane (February)
Kaguya replied to Kaguya's topic in Visual Novel Talk
My giant robot is the strongest ever! So, I'll be re-reading Al's route and maybe Ruri if I can bother enough. Good luck with Leila, from what I remember she has the worst one. -
Dankest thread on fuwa. Thank you based batman, better luck for your team next superbowl.

I was already into most of my strange fetishes before reading VNs. The new stuff would be loli/shota characters, mind control, vore, ahegao, corruption and the escalation of my guro fetish (from little bits of blood while I didn't know H manga was a thing 10 years ago to masturbating to this mini-girl getting torn apart by a beetle yesterday... Which is still pretty light, as far as I go.) I was already into mind breaking, owning someone as a pet/furniture, bondage, torture, bestiality and most other things that get me excited before I knew anime was a thing, though.

Yeah, go for Sharin. It's the closest you'll get to G-Senjou. Now, these recommendations will be based off of my own tastes, although I will stay within the bounds of what you want. I'd check Symphonic Rain and Grisaia no Kajitsu for pretty good stories with solid romance that mostly stay in the bounds of a common setting, but do escape it (Grisaia in particular does it spectacularly, specially in the sequels). If you're looking for good story twists, check out SR and Grisaia- grisaia having the added benefit of a protagonist that's unique, has a good background and kicks ass, If you're fine with philosophy, broken humans beings and mind-bending twists to go along with your romance, check out Cross Channel. If you're fine with something a tad more out of place, with superpowers and the like, I'd check Ayakashibito and Comyu. That's chuunige territory- If the highlight of G-Senjou to you was the showdown in Haru's route, I'd check those two out. They have really good stories and good romance. The strength of those games doesn't really stop there, though- the heroine routes will be, for the most part, pretty good even if you don't like the heroines themselves, which is neat. If a good battle scene can get your blood pumping, you should watch out for these. There's a lot more I could suggest, but I'll stop with these five titles. Hope you have fun.

Haha. I significantly like it over the other entries in the infinity series. No clue why it didn't get as popular as Ever17 around fuwa.

Yuni, from remember 11 is an important character to the plot, and he's absolutely great, from giving you chills to making you fawn over him. https://vndb.org/v13 (leaving the op here because I like it) Swan Song has Aroe, a child with with a mental disability (I think severe autism?) She has heartwarming moments, though beware the bad ending if you like child characters. https://vndb.org/v914 Sekien no Inganock has Kia, a really important character to the cast that gives life to the people around her. https://vndb.org/v417 ...This list could go on endlessly (I actually wrote 10 more VNs before deleting them), but I'll restrain myself because the list would get pointless. I'd look into those 3.

VN Reading Club (February) Voting - Dark and Edgy

This month's winner is Demonbane! Here's the discussion thread: -
Arkham city is a bustling hub of commerce and industry, however Arkham is also a center of eldrich lore: home to Miskatonic University, an institution of higher learning with one of the most complete libraries of arcane literature in the world. In the span of two generations the town was built up to the status of prestige it now commands, an expansion helmed by the Hadou Group, an industrial complex and family dynasty currently run by the young Hadou Ruri. She pursues the peace and prosperity of Arkham diligently, against the forces of darkness threatening to plunge the city, and the world, back into a second dark age. Among the most sinister threats to Arkham City is the evil Black Lodge syndicate. Led by the charismatic Master Therion, his nihilistic outlook shapes the group's destructive goals: with a circle of powerful sorcerers at his command, the potential for sowing chaos in the city is unmatched. Former Miskatonic University Magic Academy student Daijuuji Kurou knows little of grimoires, but what he does know terrifies him - enough that he left his university life behind, and now practices a failing detective business in the shelter of an orphanage in a quiet corner of Arkham. But just when he thought his Academy past was buried, it catches up with him and pulls him back into the dark shadows of the occult: Hadou Ruri herself appears at his door with an offer he can't refuse. The only way to combat the Black Lodge's growing magical power is to find, and retrieve, a grimoire with the power to activate the mightiest Machina of all: Demonbane. The quest to find this forbidden tome will change Kurou's destiny... forever. Robots, the Other, otaku humor and tons of chuuni magic battles. This was actually one of my very first VNs, which I played about 8 years ago. Hyped to re-read it. This month's winner is the Innocent Blade, the Smiter of Evil. As Kosaki put it- Go go Demonbane! Let's get Master Therion to rip the very threads of space and time!

Visual Novel with Bullied Heroine or Villain Heroine
Kaguya replied to Runder's topic in Recommendations
Higanbana is probably not what you're looking for. I absolutely love it, but Higanbana is a bunch of stories happening in the same school tied to the school youkai and the bullying theme, and most of them end in an uplifting note. Still, it's an interesting read- if that appeals to you, go for it. -
Hai, one more offtopic reply and I'm closing the thread. As for Derg' suggestion- Katahane is a good game. Do keep in mind that you'll be following a male protagonist for a reasonably large amount of time, and it's not only a yuri game. Yuri is definitely a substantial part of it, though.
-
I'm not cerulean, but I do have over 300 VNs played... And finding long yurige is reasonably challenging- if you want one that long, it's just impossible. The most you'll get is games with an incidental yuri scene or two, but I don't think it's what you're after. I've got nothing, but I could try giving a few recommendations if you're fine with something shorter.

Fun thought Experiment. Let's go!
Kaguya replied to Black Sands Entertainment's topic in General Discussion
Thread moved to general discussions as it doesn't concern VN talk. -
Forgive the awful cropping, I had to paint-fu this in 3 mins. ...I swear I'm not particularly fond of loli heroines?
-
I'm about to purge the thread. All replies that don't fulfill the thread's question (asking for recommendations of VN with older submissive woman) will be deleted, and any that appear from now on may result in a ban. Feel free to challenge this decision through a PM- further offtopic discussion in this thread will be seen as trolling and will be treated as such.

Unconfirmed possibility of a huge 9th planet

Think goverment is atrocious so they nuke everything? Easy there. They're aliens, not americans. -
As firecat-reborn marches on fuwanovel on VN talk in february of 2016, a secretive group of madman and fuwans gathers to perform a terrible ritual. They care not for the fate of their waifus. To them, the countless moege fans traumatized by their recommendations are nothing but the perfect sacrifice to fuel their club. After the drama, they vanish and are not heard from again, except in rumor. One day, it is whispered, they will return. And on that day, moe fluffiness will end. Fear the demons in human form. Fear the voters of the dark and edgy month. Options (synopses taken from VNDB): 1- Demonbane Arkham city is a bustling hub of commerce and industry, however Arkham is also a center of eldrich lore: home to Miskatonic University, an institution of higher learning with one of the most complete libraries of arcane literature in the world. The quest to find this forbidden tome will change Kurou's destiny... forever. 2- Tsukihime- Blue, blue glass moon under the crimson air The story begins in a recollection of a boy called Shiki in his childhood years. There he gains a power out of this world. What is the meaning of this power, and what can he do with it? This is his story of finding the missing pieces of the puzzle. 3- Cartagra- Affliction of the Soul The hero of this story is Takashiro Shugo - an ex-police officer, now unemployed and freeloading at a brothel. From time to time he takes on detective work from his former superior. A missing persons case is dumped onto him one day. Kohzuki Yura... the girl he had an intimate relationship with before being sent off to war. A brutal series of killings begins. As they occur closer and closer to home, Shugo can no longer turn a blind eye, and is dragged into the spiraling web of missing people and murders. 4- Hanachirasu + Kikokugai Two short revenge stories by nitroplus. If this option wins, the club will discuss both of them. Kikokugai: A tale of revenge set in future Shanghai, where crime syndicates and cyber-warriors rule the city. The schools of martial arts can be largely divided into two styles - Waijia, the external schools that concentrate solely on the development of speed, strength, and powerful forms and techniques - and Neijia, those that use control of breathing and blood flow to master the internal energy - qi - that flows through the body's meridians. Because of these methodological differences, the two styles have vied time and again for supremacy. Although practitioners of Waijia were far greater in number, in the end not one of them could stand up to a warrior who had truly mastered the secrets of Neijia. For centuries, this was the unchallenged law of the martial arts world. However, the advent of cybernetics changed everything. Freed from the yoke of their physical limitations, Waijia schools discovered an entirely new world of possibility. The Neijia schools that had reigned over the martial world with their secret techniques, suddenly found themselves obsolete. In this age where technology is changing the face of combat, heirs to the ancient martial traditions have developed anti-cyborg techniques for the sole purpose of defeating cyborgs with one's bare hands - at great cost to the wielder. Kong Taoluo, one such master and former asssassin in the Qingyun Society, returns to Shanghai from a year in recovery after being betrayed by the syndicate and assumed dead. Discovering the horrible truth of what has happened to his sister during his absence; Taoluo swears an oath of vengeance and sets out to murder those responsible. Hanachirasu: A story of revenge. Hanachirasu is set in a parallel timeline where nuclear weaponry was never developed. As such, Japan continued to fight through World War II, ending aggressions only when Hokkaido and Kyushu were occupied by Russia and America, respectively. The game itself takes place in early 21st century Tokyo, which has been transformed into a haven for Japanese culture thanks to the nationalistic ideals of the charismatic Ishima Kaigen. Strict policies are in place in to enforce a ban upon firearms within the city limits. Thus, though terrorism and power struggles run rampant, swordplay, not gunfire, claims the lives of those not powerful to stake out their claims here. Our protagonist is one Takeda Akane, a swordsman driven by a desire to face his one true rival, Igarasu Yoshia. What will stand in his path to his goal?

I know I told you to RP that character, but that's kinda cringey... Well, all is nice so long as you have fun, I guess. Lesse... I actually don't play moege. If you don't mind gameplay, go play Littlewitch Romanesque or Kamidori or something like that.
-
Blame me for that. Chatmod-chan is basically a special account a few members can access that has, well, chat moderation powers. They also need to RP all sorts of loli characters, though that's just because I wanted to have fun.

I didn't say you could actually post on the forums. ...Well whatever. Suit yourself. Should be fine.
