  1. Making it so you can buy the product from the landing page would actually pretty much resolve it.
  2. QFT. Sunk costs are real. Overcome your latent irrationality — don't let sunk costs make you throw good time after bad money.
  3. Agreed with everybody saying the website still screams back-alley sex shop (yes, I'm still borrowing that analogy Rooke made months ago). The landing pages are a huge improvement (and much prettier to boot!), but the rest of the site being sketchy as shit is still unpleasant.
  4. True. MongoDB is web scale. Next person is not web scale.
  5. Capitalism was a good idea.
  6. @Lucius like I mentioned before elsewhere, you can get P3P on the Playstation store in English for the PSVita, at least in the US, and like others here said, it's widely accepted to be better than P3:FES for various reasons.
  7. The Persona 4 animation was mostly not an enjoyable experience for me, but I did think it did a much better job with the ending than P4G's endings.
  8. I more or less stopped playing a day or two after my last post, a week ago. But I heard about the "Buddy" thing today and tried it out. I guess it's fine? Probably going to finish walking enough with my Buddy to see how pathetic the rewarded amount of candy is, and then put the game away again out of disgust.
  9. False. I've got a Mon-Fri 9-5 kind of schedule. Next person loves avocados.
  10. Honestly, this is the part where your being a weeb should give you a huge advantage. Don't you already know most of those? Like Kawasumi said, immersion will help a lot. Watch some subbed anime for your breaks or something and listen carefully and it'll help solidify this stuff.
  11. Did some looking around, but likewise, all I found was this (looks like it's technically two songs, with both regular and instrumental versions, plus whatever is on that Disc 2), not a full OST: https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B007E5GPD0/ Nothing on vgmdb, and usually they've got an entry even for really obscure stuff. Probably there is no Supipara OST, yet.
  12. We do agree! They are both amazing, but have quite different strengths.
  13. Having played P4DAN, I can confirm that it's worth it just to hear all the amazing remixes. The new character it introduces is all right, too.
  14. KoiRizo has a damn good soundtrack, but this is the one that made me say "Yes, I must have this OST."
  15. Persona 4's strength is definitely the characters, not the story, so I'm pretty much with you on the "I like it, but..." assessment. Persona 3 has a much more interesting story.
  16. Confession: I keep seeing Funya posting around the forums and wondering, "Who's this guy?"
  17. The S;G soundtrack is fantastic. I never looked up the composer on VNDB, but now I wish I had. If he did those games, I should bump those up on my "to play" list, and they were pretty high up already.
  18. Gorgeous drawing: 10 points Uncute glasses: -1 point 9/10
  19. Sometimes I'm just not in the mood for something, even if I've been enjoying it. As an example, I shelved Grisaia no Kajitsu months ago, despite loving the hell out of the common route and only playing my least favorite heroine's route (the game practically forced Sachi on me, I swear). I'll go back for the rest someday, but in the meantime, I moved on to reading books, playing games, reading other VNs, and so forth. Either someday the mood will grab you and you'll be back in it, or it won't. Either way is okay. There's a whole lot out there to do - if you're not able to get into this one thing, that's okay.
  20. I picked up the KoiRizo "append disc", solely for the soundtrack. I don't even know what else is on it. I kind of don't even care. The KoiRizo soundtrack is amazing, and it was totally worth it (especially since, whatever it is, it cost about the same as a typical OST CD costs anyway).
  21. I'm the same way. I listen to music all day at work and pause it randomly to go do things, and the song that's stuck in my head is inevitably the one that got paused. If I were better at playing songs stuck in my head, I'd probably be able to play them the rest of the way through and banish them, but alas, I'm not.
  22. Stay frosty out there, Shu.
  23. As far as I know, this is still the answer for why both Steam and the iTunes store are successful. Even today, there are still tons of people pirating stuff simply because it's vastly more convenient than buying it legitimately. A sorry state of affairs. On the up-side, because I have no shame left, I just bought Funbag Fantasy off MG a minute ago, so... at least the problem is localized.
  24. Vokoca's musings on FF Type-0 reminded me of one huge advance in Tales of Zestiria, vs. all other Tales games I've played: the AI is amazing now. The Tales of Zestiria AI is about as good at playing the game as I am, and in some areas far outclasses me, especially in regularly using Burst points in the assorted possible ways for maximum benefit. I didn't really notice this until Rose joined the party, but a party member with Mystic artes and Armatization is an absolute beast. I'll be surprised if I ever lose a fight again at this point (well, unless I either turn the difficulty back up to Hard and start getting my head handed to me, or I go after one of the still-obscenely-powerful world bosses while they can still one-shot me). Ludger's pretty great, I'll give you that. But I still give Yuri the edge.
  25. Wow, not my experience at all. I'm loving all of Edna, Rose, Lailah, and Mikleo as characters, but thought Alisha (I remembered how to spell her name now...) was a little boring. Sorey's probably the lest interesting Tales protagonist I recall seeing, but really nobody has ever held a candle to Vesperia's Yuri, who was enough of a character to basically carry the whole game himself. But seriously, I've usually got a manic grin on my face any time either Edna or Rose is speaking. Edna's skits especially usually have me in stitches.
