  1. Our Canadian March Break is the equivalent to what Americans call Spring Break, except ours start a week or two beforehand. At the beginning of last March, having nothing to do during March Break, I literally spent at least over 12 hours everyday immersing myself playing YU-NO. I was too engrossed with the game's story and epic exposition. I finished a game that took me 90-100 hours in about a week or two. I did the same with Steins;Gate a week afterwards. In terms of not stopping at all, I don't think I ever finished any VN in one sitting. It'll have to be a short one for it to be possible.
  2. I should really start using Twitter. I made an account long ago but never got around to fully make use of it.
  3. I'm sure I can, but I never tried and I don't think I'll try that (not yet at least). I find that sticking to a single VN enhances the fun, especially if it's one with an immersive story. I've been enjoying all the ones I've played so far with an extreme passion, but I'm sure there will come a time where I've tried all the best ones and will end up with average VN's, and that might be when I'll be hopping from one to another. What I'm trying to say is, the better the story, the more I'll stick with it.
  4. True... At least there's still something to watch during the first four Sundays. A show this good is still up for re-watches~ the only drawback is, of course, there won't be any anticipation since we'll know how it'll end up. Each time a leaked episode airs, it will keep us sane until the new content. .... The wait is already hard, for sure
  5. These are actually very pretty! I love the art-style. Anime characters will probably have to look similar to the background's style to blend in, I'm thinking.
  6. I wish I was good at drawing, but I know a friend who is. I could maybe refer you to her and see if she's interested~ I'll try to upload one of her drawings if you're still looking for one.
  7. I love this! The concept of altering histories are what I love in stories when it comes to plots. I'm afraid of spoiling by displaying my all-time favourite games that induces such a concept, so I'll put a spoiler tag: Does anyone know any other games related to the genre of Time Travel and Universe Jumping? It's the reason I'm here right now, seeking out other gems that like to experiment with those concepts. As a long-term fan of the movie "Back to the Future", the idea of time travel has been carving me over the years into becoming a scientist (which I'm not yet, but hoping to be in the near future). It has influenced me into wanting to know more about the flow of time and the universe. Experimenting with and experiencing any fictional work of that kind can change a person's life. Well, it did for me, it's as if one's life can change completely after reading a very good book and you end up contemplating on what you have read for the next few days. It's the kind of feeling I always have when it comes to that kind of media. Such epic stories make us wonder and make us ask questions, the right kind of questions that can be innovating and make us curious enough to be proactive and that's when we become one of the people who's capable of shaping the world.
  8. I've been playing Dracula X: Rondo of Blood on PC. The challenge is just right and the controls really feel classic, especially if you configure the inputs on a controller.
  9. I will be honest and say that I prefer Turn-Based strategies over Real-Time strategies, even if I don't mind playing the latter. For the next game, I would actually vote for a platformer, but any genre will do~
  10. This was actually fun~ knowing how fun AoS was, I don't think I would have been able to make the time to play it if it wasn't for this thread. I'm willing to try any other retro game or even a modern one of any sort to try as long as no payment's needed~
  11. I just finished it! It was a fun game, it was a good decision to start with ^ ^. Now I just found out that
  12. I only live right now for the third installment. I won't die until I finish playing it, whether it's coming out or not. I'm immortal until they develop it. I should do something to support Operation Bluebird...but how I wonder...
  13. Well, I watched the first four episodes. I couldn't endure the wait and I know the consequence would be the 4 week wait until the fifth episode. I'll still be watching them as they air on TV to support HBO's viewing and the episodes' greatness were that good~ So far, it's a thrilling season and I'm in dire need for the fifth episode, which would be the 10th of May >~<! I can't wait already, but we all must.
  14. I started playing Aria of Sorrow yesterday. I already invested 3-4 hours into it, and it feels good to play this style of game again after having played Symphony of the Night a few years back. Although the story is kind of lackluster, and the music is maybe not as close to being phenomenal as Symphony of the Night, the gameplay keeps our minds aside and keeps the game strong. The exploration and fighting mechanic is beyond fun~ I really am having a blast right now and I'll continue playing sometime during the weekend, if not tonight. Maybe I'll just farm some levels and get better armor. I like metroidvanias as long as the path you need to go is fairly clear, but it gets frustrating when you have to backtrack to a small area to unlock a other small area. Luckily Aria of Sorrow hasn't done that too much. About this,
  15. If a law like that becomes more common and certified, I shall download every retro game in advance into one large flash-drive so I could play them without worry. In all seriousness though, it doesn't sound right if a company decides to market a game that they never owned or that has already became a freeware. To stay on topic though, I don't think it's "harming the game industry" at all, as a lot of those games are now uncommercialized and the only reason game companies want to make them illegal are so they could take responsibility of already developed games for reasons like monetary gain. Is the article even official? Who speaks for the gaming industry on it anyway? (Unless a petition of some sort is involved, for sure).
  16. This one was also recently uploaded~ I find it hilarious. It's just too awesome to see GoT videos coming up just before Season 5's premiere!
  17. I got it about 3 weeks ago, and I already invested over 80 hours into it, and that was by using only the Lance as a weapon! With still more upgrades to unlock and more weapons to try, I still have a lot to do~ Anyway, it's my first Monster Hunter game and I have to say that I'm really enjoying it. The Wi-Fi Multiplayer feature is being used a lot more efficiently than most 3DS games (by most, I mean all--kind of).
  18. Nice! I haven't seen a lot of people play Yu-No yet, but I hope you enjoy it, it's my second favourite VN right after 999. It took me more than 90 hours to finish though so it will take time, but it was extremely worth it in my opinion. As it's an old classic, make sure you manage to manually get the voice working~ If you do end up playing that one that is.
  19. I'll download and play Aria of Sorrow once I get home in the afternoon~

    Hi

Welcome to the forums! I'm sure your lingering will bring more inspiration
  21. My Tinnitus. It's annoying, I hate it, but can't do much about it.
  22. All of you have amazing tastes in music, I agree with a LOT, if not, ALL of them! > < You can say that by listening to music in general, especially Nobuo Uematsu's work, has inspired me to learn the piano. Here are some of my favourite songs and soundtrack, I have many to list (almost unlimited) of good songs so of course I can't make a list of billions, but here's a few of what I like: Grim Fandango's Soundtrack Fire Emblem Awakening's Soundtrack (All of the songs, but this one stands out the most) "Don't Speak Her Name" My Favourite Castlevania game. I wanted to pick only one song from it, it was hard to choose which one... "Castlevania: Rondo of Blood -- Stage 1" My favourite song from an Indie game. "VVVVVV -- Potential for Anything" One of my first RPG's, which I grew up with. The soundtrack's badass: "Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest -- Boss Batle"
