I'm currently procrastinating to ever-living fuck in the midst of chain reading and essay writing so this would probably be the worst thing right now, but I'll admit even though I generally don't like MOBA's it looks pretty interesting. Might give it a go in a few days.

What are you listening to right now?

Great album there! Finally checked 'I Forget Where We Were' out, about a year after its release. I'm so pleased I did, gorgeous album. -
Hey, welcome to this beautiful little alcove of the internet Got any particular favourite VNs? Love your avatar by the way!

This... I just... It'd probably be funny for, like, 15 minutes, and then I'd have to sit back and think 'what the fuck am I doing with my existence'. This seems like a painful parody of an admittedly slightly amusing parody.

The thing is, there's a lot of things that go into VN production that means that this price is, from a purely economic point of view, generally justifiable. For each VN, you need people that can draw - not just sprites, but other things too, like CGs, backgrounds and all the other odds and sods that make it look pretty. You then need someone to write it - many VNs are longer than some novels (20k and above words are pretty standard), and then you need someone to do music. And advertising. And voice acting, regularly. Many have opening themes from external artists too. If you're getting a translated VN, someone needs to translate that shit too. VNs are a comparatively niche market even in Japan (I think, someone correct me if I'm wrong) so to pay for all of this, and to make enough of a profit going to have made it worth their time, I would say that $40 is a bloody good price.

It's times like this that I wish I was better at turning down challenges.

10/10, simply because if it ever changes there's something badly wrong.

I'm pretty bummed out about the loss of Gravity Green because it reminds me of when I signed up to this place just over 4 months ago. That being said, Temporal is easily the prettiest theme I've seen this site have, and I think it's pretty easy to use as well.

The guy raises some very good points actually - or at least, I agree with the points he's making so I would think that.

Simple, just use temporal So... I think your 10 bucks goes to Tay?

Sekai Project's first unsuccessful kickstarter?
AaronIsCrunchy replied to tahu157's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I simply think it'll mean that they won't go for BL titles any more, or at least without a serious revision of their marketing or something. The western VN community do like their titties. -
My favourite OP would be the one for Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai (video attached with delicious Spanish subtitles). The song is great (Shimamiya Eiko - Naraku no Hana) and I love the fact that they kept the flower imagery from the first OP. I also happen to adore the series, which probably helps. EDs... this. Again, it helps that I adore the series but I think this just pretty much covers everything that I love about the series in a video. Fun song (song by the cast no less), sooooo much beautiful scenery and Renge with her hair in buns. My only issue with it is that it signals the end of an episode (...and possibly the end of Non Non Biyori, but we're not gonna talk about that ;-;). .

Welcome to Fuwa! I've heard good things about Sepia Tears, and since it's free, I'll probably give it a bash at some point. Have you played Eden* yet? Features a bit of military influence, and the story's pretty great too (of what I've read so far...)

I'm personally pretty content with the palette that we have right now (although given I only ever used apple/emerald, perhaps I'm just scared of change). Only thing I'd ask is that if anyone ever used banana? I can't see how that would ever make a pleasant browsing experience. I'd suggest changing it for something more muted, so maybe a lighter taupe or something.

If you guys haven't recently I'd like to nominate watching Mushishi. It seems pretty damn wonderful, the premise fits in with the whole Halloween shizz (legends/spirits, that kinda thing) and the art looks gorgeous. I'm aware it's fairly well known though, so just ignore me if everyone's seen it and I'm just a slowpoke. And Wolf Children [2]. Yes.

Let's all spare a moment to think of all of the Fuwans not yet a part of the community, the ones that will never know the Gravity Green theme. I feel it is them we should feel truly sorry for.

This compilation of grindcore bands from the Osaka grindcore scene is naaaasty. Loads of really good stuff. -
Notifications are definitely knackered. I think. I'm probably missing something stupidly obvious.
-
Goodbye GravityGreen. I may have replaced you, but you'll always be my first.

Aw yeeeeeah, Fuwa's back :3 I quite like the new theme, as a whole. Have to zoom out a bit to use it to my liking, and I'd say the changes have made the FuwaFabulous theme look quite boxy and ugly. Just as well Temporal's all nice and pretty, really Looking forward to the time changes!

Taking a bit of a break from Grisaia to play Nocturnal Illusion (the original one). The set-up and behaviour of Miwako in particular is intriguing, but I'm getting soooooo frustrated trying to look around everything before I can continue. I'm using a walkthrough, and I still can't figure out what the room with the rusty knob is. EDIT: Moments after I typed that, I realised that the walkthrough I was using had a sodding map -.-

I think they've basically done away with the tomato sauce and replaced it with a garlicky-cheesy sauce instead - and then put more cheese on top of that. It's for when you really wanna feel your heart struggle while you eat, basically.

Is there any anime you would want to live in?
AaronIsCrunchy replied to Justin579's topic in Anime/Manga Talk
Provided I turned into a ~11 year old girl, Non Non Biyori. Those guys know how to live, and when I'm older and need a job, I'll move to Tokyo or something. Far less exciting than many of them mentioned here though Or Pokemon. Cos let's face it, who the fuck doesn't want Pokemon to be real.
