Just read Dreams and Shadows by C. Robert Cargill. If you like dark fantasy (Neil Gaiman springs to mind) then I can't recommend it enough. Probably one the best books I've ever read. Onto the sequel now, Queen of the Dark Things. Can't wait.

I have to have seen all of the endings for me to consider a VN finished - even if that means the really awful, painful bad endings that I just don't want to do. I'll also aim to complete the true route last, which is sometimes railroaded anyway so it's not a problem.

Hej hej! Welcome to Fuwanovel! I won't be your guide unfortunately as I lack the qualifications, but I hope you enjoy your time here! I'd recommend playing Grisaia no Kajitsu if you like romance - also neat story (at least, Sachi's is... haven't played the others yet ) and a really interesting protagonist. I'd also recommend If My Heart Had Wings (or Kono Oozora ni, Tsubasa wo Hirogete if you like that kinda thing), as long as you don't mind long passages about the workings of gliders and appalling English translation on Ageha's route. Unless you speak Japanese of course, in which case you're laughing.

I'm all for H-scenes until they're actually happening. Then it's just 'ugh, I can't wait for this irritating fuckfest to be over so I can actually continue with things.' Annoyingly though, I like the idea of 'couple-based' H-scenes (like, two people forming a relationship) because sometimes the sentiment behind it's really nice, so I don't turn H-scenes off in case they're actually relevant. That said, any H-scene which goes mouth/vagina/bum (or anything in that order...) in one go is either gratuitous and annoying, or so hilariously bad that the very idea of popping a cock-rocket is impossible.

It's gone down now anyways, but I'm really not sure I'll trust that advice for future reference

Finally finished Sachi's route on Grisaia. Only took me 3 weeks, but it was worth it. And I cried. I cried like the lil' bitch I am. Dunno about the rest of the routes, but from this one alone I can see why this VN is regarded to be a good one. AND I GET SACHI WALLPAPERS AFTERWARDS ^.^

Only two days until the final one of the series is released Think I'll marathon watch the two series from start to finish beforehand, otherwise it's just gonna feel hollow.

From a purely pragmatic position I can understand the move, to be honest. If they're struggling to fill their universities due to low birth rate, then a prudent move as far as the government is concerned would be to try to prioritise what is likely to benefit the economic well-being of their country long-term. It doesn't take away from the fact that it majorly sucks, due to the restriction of intellectual capabilities within the country, but I have a certain degree of appreciation for why it's being carried out.

Fantastic film, I'd recommend it to anyone even vaguely interested in the gangster/crime genre. Hardcore with a stoner-metal twist that is both fun and dark. Awesome stuff.

This looks really promising. I find the whole thing surrounding lack of publicising kinda amusing in a way - granted, without them doing so it may struggle to achieve widespread interest, but all the while threads like this are made it's still able to be advertised (not that this is a bad thing). Is it perhaps arrogance on their part that they believe themselves to be large enough that the community will hype their products for them? Either way, keep up the good work EDIT: Took me so long to type this out that more or less the same was said twice (I think). Eh well.
