[Poll] Do you play pre-release patches or final versions?
kooolm replied to ittaku's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I try to wait for the final release, although there are some exceptions. If it's something I was eager to play for a long time I won't be able to wait much longer. -

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Majikoi (or perhaps I've missed it). But you'd better read the VN.

Almost every CG in eden* looks amazing. There are 200 non-ero CGs in a 8-hour game, that's just insane.

As unoriginal as it may sound, heights. Because I nearly fell from a roof of a nine storey building one day.

Experiencing post plot depression after finishining eden*.

Subahibi translation completed now editing is all that remains

Now there's a chance it'll be released earlier than that. Think positively -
A friend of mine is constantly nagging me when I say "I'm currently playing *VN-title-here*. He says something like "you don't play them, you read them". Not that I thoroughly agree, but I noticed saying "read" myself after a while when talking about VNs. What is your opinion on this subject?

You should definitely give ef a go. It has almost the same quality of CGs, but it's much longer to beat.

While everyone seems to be busy with Angel Beats I decided to give eden* a go. The game looks gorgeous and it's short. Nice to play something like this after long hours in Majikoi for a change.

Nice to meet you. And what a great anime to get into the VNs!

Borrowed Watch Dogs from a friend of mine. Is it any good?

How Global is Fuwa (What country do you actually reside in?)
kooolm replied to Zalor's topic in Members' Lounge
As I was listening to Fuwacast episodes I learned that OriginalRen and some other guy whose name I shamefully don't remember mentioned that the know Russian. What's the big deal about learning Russian? Was it to play Endless Summer in original language, lol? -
I don't mind people calling VNs eroge as long as they are 18+. It's not like they call them porn games, is it?

I'm pretty skinny even though I do a fair amount of sports (play tennis on a regular basis). Was never thinking about starting going to the gym. I personally find it boring.

You are amazing. Wish you all the best, can't wait to see the release day. -
Is it good to read two routes of the same VN the same time?
kooolm replied to starlessn1ght's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Oh wow, and I thought trying to read two VNs simultaneously was a bad idea. You bring this to a totally new level. I personally find it very distracting from the story and you may mix up the events happening in different routes. It may be a personal thing, though... -
Currently on Agave route in Majikoi. Enjoing this game A LOT! Looking forward to Majikoi S translation.

Nice to meet you all! Finally managed to sign up after experiencing some technical difficulties with the forum. I first started to get interested in VNs in 2009 when I was in high school. There weren't many translated, so I was using machine translation to read the stuff I randomly found on vndb. For many people the first VN they read is something well-known like Fate or Cross Channel. For me it was AsuKimi and I thourougly enjoyed it even not knowing japanese and having to deal with AGTH and ATLAS. Back then it was a pain in the neck. I played about 7 VNs and then was distracted by other hobbies. At the very beginning of 2015 I remembered about my old passion and decided to give Cross Channel a go. I was amazed at how much the western VN community has translated since 2009! Now it's a great time to be a part of the community and I feel great knowing that things are getting better and better. I'm Russian but pretty fluent in English if I do say so myself, hehe. Yoroshiku!
