Oh yeah. I completely forgot about G-Collections. Didn't they form into JAST or something? Either way, I can't imagine their quality of releases was pretty good like how MG's releases are nowadays. -

Don't get too riled up. He was trying to get a reaction out of me personally by saying wrong information. -

Those are the ones that came to mind in terms of TL and editing quality. There are quite a few others that I didn't name that had other problems with them. -

I meant the incompetence aspect. I don't really care what they do in that aspect on r/vns, but when they do that more than fixing their PR, it really doesn't add to their rep. -

They can get away with that sort of thing because some people on r/vns are giant SP apologists and will forgive them for every little thing they do wrong. It's pretty bewildering. -

They're incredibly slow because of the way they run their company. They license way too many things, don't have project management so everything takes especially long, and they usually end up releasing maybe 2 or 3 important VNs a year as a result. I like Mangagamer because they always have 1 or 2 VNs coming out every month, which no other company is doing or has done yet. SP takes the JAST approach of releasing things on an incredibly inconsistent basis, which is definitely annoying when you want to see certain VNs released and you have no clue when they'll be out. -

>Slower release schedule That's an understatement. -

I definitely don't agree with that, but the less extreme flak, yes. -

Seems like they were too ambitious with their goals and their company structure can't handle it. I can definitely see it getting worse as time goes on honestly, which is a shame as they have Baldr Sky and Nanairo, both VNs which I'm extremely hyped to play. -

There is still a lot of criticism on the quality of their releases as well. Chrono Clock, HoshiMemo, Leyline, etc. -

I believe that they get what they deserve in terms of flak. They've been inconsistent since they first began and they haven't done anything to improve their quality as a company, whether it be with average TL quality, Kickstarter abuse, promises made to fans and KS backers, or having a consistent release schedule along with giving no news on a lot of important licenses. They are full of issues and I do hope they improve, although knowing their track record, that may never happen. -

Their Kickstarters have been horrific since their first one, even if they exceed their limits in funding. That's been clear since the beginning and it's been a consistent thing. Remember HoshiMemo and Leyline? Both Kickstarters, both with poor releases. At least they're fixing them so I can actually read them without feeling like I'm accepting a below average product. -
http://otakuspirit.com/2018/04/why-ill-never-support-sekai-project-again/ So @Zenophilious posted this article in the Fuwaserver the other day and it describes a single person's experience with Sekai Project and its Grisaia Kickstarter. I thought it'd be a fun discussion to bring up everybody else's experience with them and what they think of them. Personally, I find them to be unprofessional with some of their releases and they have a plethora of problems that I've already described in a previous thread. Whether you're an SP fan and apologist, or a person who dislikes SP, leave what you think below and most importantly, have fun.

Actually, that'd be known as a Freudian slip. This was a regular old grammar error. Dare question my hatred of moege again and it won't be a pleasant scene.
-
Goddamn my English. If you check my VNDB, you'll find I'm most definitely not pro-moege.
-
Hello new person. I am the resident plotge lover and anti-moege. If you want any plotge recommended, don't be afraid to ask. Hope to see you around.

Hello again. Today, I have the third week of progress updates. Editing has finally started for the project, so that's pretty nice Translation: Prologue - 46% (829/1791) TLC Prologue - 27% (486/1791) Edit Prologue - 16% (279/1791) We are still looking for a dedicated TLC as the other translator is only doing it for the prologue. Also, we are looking for people to fill in the QC position as well. If you think you are capable enough for either of these positions, please PM me. Also, everybody can view live progress on this project from this website. I'll put it in the original post as well. https://cookie4.com/projects/haruuru/progress/ That's all for this week. I'll see you next week with some more progress.

What's the most unique VN that you had read and why
VirginSmasher replied to phantomJS's topic in Visual Novel Talk
The most unique VN I've ever read is Myth for a variety of reasons. The overall premise of the story and where it goes is nothing like I've ever experienced in any other medium. The writer somehow manages to craft a brilliant story that makes some semblance of sense by the end despite how much the reader has no clue about throughout the overall read. My first and best experience with a complete denpa story and I will never forget all of the things I felt while reading this great VN. -

About time I got to read some more Fata Morgana.
