Actually, somebody doing KKK and doing a good job at it is nearly impossible. I'd rather him do some other VN like Tasogare no Sinsemillia or HatsuSaku.

Oh well. Hatsukoi was a terrible VN anyways so I don't really care about what they do with those. Then they're doing Hoshi Ori Yume Mirai, which I'm avoiding like the plague because over 50 hours of SoL sounds like a goddamn nightmare.

I'm pretty sure he enjoyed Hatsukoi or else he wouldn't be doing the fandiscs.

It's got a different style of story-telling and isn't a moege in the slightest. MoeNovel's fans are definitely moege-fans so a serious story won't really be to their tastes.

This was basically what I wanted to say in a nusthell. Adding onto that, the writing quality can be affected severely if there's a bad translation. Look at Cross Channel. That VN is loved by lots of JOPs, but in English, it doesn't feel like anything special prose-wise because the translations ruined that aspect.

You think that's bad? I spent 120 bucks yesterday on 4 band shirts.

As I've said before, Steam helped flourish VN localization in the West, yet it killed the quality of translations in the process.

Exactly. Cliches aren't inherently bad as they're tropes that certain genres use. It's how writers execute them that matters the most.

People may not like certain cliches, but they still read VNs anyways because they've kinda accepted that those cliches will always be a part of VNs.

That's being too hopeful, but I'm glad you're ambitious.

And hopefully that's how MoeNovel ends up in a couple of years.

MoeNovel is like the EA of VN localization. They always do shit to fuck up their image, like censoring VNs and releasing bad translations, and they only keep doing it to profit from Steam VN sales. Luckily, Miagete Goran didn't sell well apparently and if Cross Channel fails, there's a likely chance they may not stick around.
