I'm just waiting for the same thing to happen to Sekai Project. Both companies need to learn something from the nearly failed Root Double kickstarter to this bad translation. Mangagamer has been doing things consistently right as of late and JAST/SP can learn from them. "There's always Sono Hanabira" Derg would say, but I agree with you. Flowers is apparently a really good yuri VN that could've brought a lot of people into the genre and introduce more people to how great Innocent Grey is, but instead we get this...JAST is on my hitlist now because of this

They have their focus in the wrong place. They think all we're complaining about is the translation when there are many other errors with it, but it's too late and they're gonna have to release a bad product that'll affect JAST's reputation pretty badly.

We should honestly give up on them trying to fix everything. They're not gonna push back the release date which means they won't have time to fix every single thing about it and they'll be forced to put out a bad product.

I'm surprised that Eustia lost to Mahoyo. I guess the Type Moon fans are too much. They may win against White Album 2 which I really hope doesn't happen.

I've only started studying last month and it took me about a week to completely get Hiragana down. Then again, I have a photographic memory so the best way for me to learn was to continuously quiz myself for about two weeks until I understood them. If you keep either writing or reading them often, you'll get them eventually. がんばれ

And now they're gonna regret it with Flowers because with the reputation it has currently, it's gonna be low in sales as well. This is probably the last time Innocent Grey will release anything over here in the West if they didn't sell much with MangaGamer.

Immediately when I saw the announcement, I was prepared for another few days without the forums. Also, I may have killed 3 people and disemboweled them when I saw the announcement. Just in preparation for the inevitability that something will go wrong.

The winner isn't necessarily being translated unless a deal is made with the winner's company and even then, it's highly unlikely. This tournament is just to see what people want here in the west. It's highly unlikely that anything will come out of this other than Conjueror and Gare's secret project.

And because of the news of the awful translation, it's not gonna make a lot of money and therefore the other VNs in the series won't be released and Innocent Grey will probably break off the partnership with JAST and go back to Mangagamer. At least, that's what I want to happen.

I agree completely with this. Bigger boobs are the way to go in real life and in 2d. I personally prefer girls with glasses more in 3d than in 2d. It's way more attractive if a girl can wear glasses and look hotter than without them.

This VN looks pretty interesting. I'm gonna wait for some reviews on it first before I buy it.

They are trying to cover their asses because they know that they didn't translate it properly and now they're contacting people with better Japanese. I hope they can fix their problems or else I'm not buying it because I don't want to support these incompetent translators.

I bet if you compared the translation and the original with a really good understanding of Japanese, you'd find it awful as well. I can't speak for that, but a few people who know Japanese have said the translation isn't worth checking out.

This. I'd be a little miffed if a VN was being translated improperly, but not a VN that's so highly rated like White Album 2. It deserves professional translators to be working on it.
