That is true. I imagine most of us, myself not included, don't discuss our VN hobby until we are in these forums.

So they're better than us because constantly argue and force our opinions onto others. Sounds pretty boring to be a fan of VNs in Japan if there is no big discussions about the newest moege and how Sca-Ji is overrated and other VN related topics.

I have just started Comyu after 9 days without playing a single minute of a VN. I've only played 2 hours so far, but it's got an interesting setup and most of the characters aren't completely annoying yet.

I've spoiled myself before with a few visual novels because I watched the anime and still remembered everything from it, but I've never had anything spoiled for me from VNs that I hadn't watched the anime of.

It's good that they delayed this release. JAST loves to take a long time with their releases and then they try an earlier release and you get that demo. Good on them for actually delaying it so they can try to put out a good release.

Exactly. There's no way to solve it. If they keep the download limit, the pirate can just buy a copy and upload it onto some torrenting site. This patch only limits loyal customers and doesn't do shit to stop piracy.

Awesome to hear that they hired people who know what they're doing. I don't know what they will be able to do in a month, but I hope they manage to put out something worth reading.

No matter what any company does, there will always be piracy of their games. Pirates always find a way around these sorts of things. It's a good thing to include because of these buyers, but I feel this won't be a long lasting solution on Denpasoft's part.

Just like I said in your introduction thread, I recommend G Senjou No Maou and the Kara No Shoujo series.

What I was saying with the artstyle thing was that you shouldn't judge a VN based on the art. If you give a VN a low score because it has bad art, you're not looking at the other aspects of the VN. There is plot, characters, music, and all these other things to look at. You're right, bad art is a valid criticism and can detract from the experience, but to hate a VN over it? I just don't understand that part.

What I was trying to say if that he should try Rewrite and Little Busters because they're pretty much what you're gonna get from Key overall. If he doesn't like them, he shouldn't try the others because he's not gonna be a fan. And on the artstyle thing with Kanon and Air, the artstyle isn't great. Hell, in Kanon, it's pretty bad, but I don't let bad art get in the way of a good story. It's really stupid to hate a VN because its artstyle isn't up to par.

If you want to try getting into Key, I suggest trying out the higher rated titles like Rewrite and Little Busters. If you like those two, you can try Clannad, Kanon, and Air. That's how I'd approach Key. All Key titles are kinda entertaining in the crying factor. It's just some are stronger at pulling these emotions than others.

I voted for Steins;Gate because I want more people to play it. It's a must read in my opinion. I've heard good things about Remember11 and I've also heard the ending is really bad which is why I've been avoiding it for so long. Cross Channel was the second VN I finished in my VN career. I enjoyed it in its English translation, but if I'm to take Kaguya's word, I'd rather read it next in Japanese to see what he's talking about. Yu-No is a title I have to get to eventually as well and Exodus Guilty doesn't look interesting to me at all.

I'm glad I don't wear any jewelry or anything of that sort. It wouldn't match my usual attire. Also, this thread has gone completely off topic.

It definitely looks like the case. Then again, VNDB ratings don't and have never mattered.
