Just finished Swan Song and it wasn't as great as I thought it would be. The first and second chapters dragged quite a bit and the good ending was the stupidest ending I've ever seen. It still had its great parts with the normal end and the 3rd and 4th chapters.

Plus, if fan TLed VNs win the tournament, they may get official translations from these major companies. I can't believe I didn't see it like that before. This is just a fun tournament anyways that may have an effect because Conjueror does work for MangaGamer.

You're probably right. The winning VN probably won't be picked up, but it may show licensing companies like MangaGamer what the community wants to see come to the west.

I'd still honestly prefer Silverio. It seems really unique while AkaGoei doesn't particularly interest me as much as Silverio does. It's up to everybody else anyways, but it'd be nice to see Silverio in the next round.

Isn't AkaGoei already being translated though? Even if it may not come to fruition, I'd rather vote on a VN that isn't already being TLed. That's the whole reason why I didn't vote for KimiNozo or Irotoridori no Sekai.

I voted for Silverio because it looks like a great VN. Why it's not winning against Akatsuki no Goei, I have no idea.

I've only ever been close to backing them with Grisaia because I love it and wanted it to succeed, but I saw it was doing fine for itself. This was before I saw their blatant abuse of Kickstarters for every single VN they license. Eventually, they're gonna stop making their backing and lose money because of bad PR and various other problems. I see them going bankrupt in the near future if they keep up this mindset. Hell, it took them 3 weeks just to get the tiers right for Root Double. They should've been that way from the beginning. Maybe then they wouldn't be struggling with it right now. I don't hate Sekai Project as it might sound like, but they need to fix these problems if they want to gain the respect of the community and stay alive in general.

Pretty sure you've already voted Miagete and Irotoidori. I'm still including that you can't vote the same VN twice. Other than that, I'll add those other three.

Yeah. I'm probably gonna do that. Also, I'll never in my entire life ever add a Sakura Game to the best of anything, not even the best fanservice because a hell of a lot of VNs are willing to take the eroge route while these VNs (other than Sakura Swim Club) are just cocktease garbage. Also, I know this list is a joke, but whenever somebody mentions the Sakura series, I get angry.

My lazy ass finally updated the list for everybody. I'm gonna add a little something. Each person who has already voted can add 2 more VNs, but not VNs that you added a vote to already. This is just to keep this list updated.

I'm not against being paid for fan translations. In fact, I support it. Getting paid by companies like MangaGamer, JAST, and Sekai Project leads to official translations which don't support piracy like fan translations do. Either you're not talking about me or you're misinterpreting what I'm trying to say. On a different note, I voted for Asairo, but it was close between that and Ikusa because I like gameplay in VNs. Just Asairo looked more interesting to me.

I never said he was in the fan TL scene. I'm saying that it's better that he isn't in the fan TL scene and getting paid for his efforts.

That is quite the feat. I'm glad he's getting payed for this sort of thing. It's better than having him in the fan TL scene where he doesn't get paid for doing that much work.

He said that his secret project is in the tournament so we're thinking of possibilities of what VN he's translating.
