Same here. I use walkthroughs all the time because I hate getting bad endings. I mainly started playing VNs becaue of the freedom of choice to do whatever you want to do. It sounded really fun to me and now I play them because I love them so much, just not enough to get through 50 hours of a kinetic novel.

You do realize that a lot of people play VNs because they have an influence on the plot with the choices. If there were no choices, we wouldn't be able to be with the heroine we want to be with.

50 hours...kinetic novel...that'd break me for sure. I can hardly go 3 hours without a choice let alone 50.

You have good taste. Such a great album. One of the bands that got me into heavier music like Killswitch Engage, AILD, Unearth, Shadows Fall, and All Shall Perish.

I usually like the VN better than the anime. That's how it was with Air and Kanon and probably how it will be with every other Key anime adaptation because every single one except Planetarian has one.

Basically how I do things too. Common routes are good for one good experience and then you skip them. They're not worth going through multiple times because you'll already have seen the jokes.

If it had been any other VN with that long of a common route without the awesome comedy of Grisaia, I would've hated it from halfway through.

How dare you dis that comedy gold mine known as Grisaia's common route? It was amazing...Ok, it was a little too long. Anyways, like Nosebleed. I prefer early branching because then I'll just skip the entire common route if it's late branching.

I finished Kanon in about 2 days with 8 hours of sleep in there. It hooked me back then, but back then, I also really liked h scenes and though they were good in that game so take my judgement as you will. Planetarian was a very enjoyable read if not a little too short in my eyes. Saya No Uta is a shining example of how to tell a great story in a short period of time and Planetarian should've been extended a little longer for more development in my eyes. It sucks to hear than Angel Beats really wasn't that great. I was excited for an English release, but it's sad to hear that's it's basically repeating the anime, flaws and all. I hope they don't pull out that stupid twist like they did in the anime just to drag feels out of people. There are many nakige that are great that haven't been translated. At least, based on VNDB because I can't read unTLed VNs unless I'm using TA.

What are your guy's opinions on nakiges? I've stated quite a bit before that they are one of my favorite genres in visual novels mainly because Key is one of my favorite companies and nakiges are their forte. Also, if you have a favorite nakige, state it as well. Are you guys emotional like me and love these VNs or are you the opposite?

Just finished Symphonic Rain. I quite enjoyed it despite not liking the first route's ending at all. It was way too rushed in my eyes and therefore brought down the route significantly. Those last three routes though, they were really well done. Lise's route is a copy of Yumiko's route in Grisaia. That doesn't mean it wasn't well done, it was good in fact. Those were my brief thoughts on Symphonic Rain. I'd give it an 8.

I think it's best to get the true ending before going to collect all those h scenes. Trust me, that ending is worth it and so are the "endings."

And we were all talking about how this KS would fail, myself included. It's nice to see this KS has a chance to make it now that Sekai Project and Regista have made some good decisions.

Maybe they can get on making that remake of Tsukihime because I really don't like the art style. I'll still end up playing it because of Type Moon, but I'd like that remake as well.
