  1. Did you discover all the way to floor 6 and back down to floor 1 on Effervescent Sea? If you did, then Izana's key should unlock the door on the first floor and Izana should be inside. Just a note, there are 3 sets of doors on the first floor of Effervescent Sea. Also using the word "100% clears" is misleading because if you did, you should have reached the room by now lol. In conclusion, I need to know whether or not you've reached the 6th floor or not.
  2. Ayakashibito has Kaoru. Mature, cool beauty. And not sure if this counts but Ever17 has Sora and Tsugumi.
  3. I must say I was a Gaia fanboy. I liked both Chihaya and Akane as characters and my favorite route would have to be Akane's route. Or I guess if you count the Moon and Terra, then it would have to be Moon.
  4. Sora was the best girl/AI/OS ever! And lol its rare to find someone who enjoyed the common route of Ever17.
  5. I agree with what you said about episode 5. Although they did cover the major events that happened and spoils who Asahi Haruka is, it just didn't have the same eerie feeling that I got when I was playing the visual novel. I remember when I was playing the visual novel, I seriously wondered about who Asahi Haruka was, but in the anime, I felt that it was a bit obvious.
  6. If you were looking forward to Ao No Kanata No Four Rhythm, then the other work by Spirte Koichoco might interest you. I don't really know what you are looking for specifically so this is about all I can recommend (Haven't played If my heart had wings and can't really think off the top of my head visual novels that were similar to Eden*)
  7. Started to play Dies Irae today. Just read through the prologue and it was a hell of a opening!
  8. So having watched all the way to episode 6 and so far its not too bad. Although the animation is a bit lacking, the OSTs bring a sense of nostalgia so it's on the most part good. I would probably not recommend the anime to people who haven't played the game though. If you don't know the plot beforehand, the anime doesn't really do a good job (well I mean it's just not possible to put the routes into 20 minute segments). Up till this point, my favorite moment would be the end of episode 4 when this song is played. This one is definitely one of my favorite songs in Rewrite and I still listen to it on my phone lol.
  9. I think Eden* would probably fit this category. Has a nice story and sweet romance, contrary to what the 'end of the world' setting might suggest. Ended up playing the all ages version and didn't feel like I missed out on much. (I think there is 18+ version but never tried it) Although the lip syncing was a bit freaky at the start, I eventually got used to it lol.
  10. Well if you say any VN series, then I would definitely say the Baldr series because its a game that has an awesome setting with engaging gameplay. And sort of a virtual reality Gundam-feel which is also a plus.
  11. Not entirely sure if this was already posted but some from Majikoi S. One of the big reasons that I enjoyed playing the game so much was that some of the OST were really good. Especially at the beginning, this song really got me hooked on the game. And maybe this And this one because its grandiose melody that always seems to remind of the Majikoi sequels as a whole. Everything seems to happen at a much larger scale than in the original. EDIT: And I always love instrumental BGM like these ones from One Thousand Lies
  12. Thanks for all the recommendations! Well aside from some of them (Fata Morgana, Saya no Uta, Swan Song) and the ones that I have already played, they were all good suggestions and will consider playing some of them. I was planning on rereading Majikoi but after playing A-5, it felt like a nice ending to the series (hopefully there won't be anymore) so I will wait a bit more until I play it again. As for Planetarian, I have already played it and I am watching the anime right now so it might be a while until I decide to play it again.
  13. Lol I don't think it'll happen for a quite a long time so theres no need to shout. Well it didn't need to be just a comedy VN. And as for your suggestion although I could agree that Saya no Uta is upbeat (in a very twisted sense) and short, I would hardly call it lighthearted.
  14. Looks interesting. Sort of not sure what to expect because its a western visual novel but I'll give it a try! Thanks, looks like I have my choice then.
  15. Ahaha, unfortunately its a bit lacking in the lighthearted. Otherewise it would be the perfect choice! I was actually thinking about playing the second game because the ending left me unsatisfied but I'm unsure if I can handle that much non-stop blood and gore. (Considering I've been playing Kara no Shoujo almost non-stop for the past few days) Although I might try Koi Rizo. As for Key, I was considering on playing Little Busters that has been on my computer for over a year but Key seems too long and heavy for me right now.
  16. Just finished Kara no Shoujo and wow was it emotionally stressing to read. All those bad endings and most of all So as the title says, I just want something lighthearted and comedic right now that will help me forget the painful images. It would also help if it was a bit on the shorter side of visual novels (Around 20~ hours would be nice) and if it had nice music.
  17. I might end up playing this now! I've played Eiyuu Senki Gold already but I never got around to playing this one.
  18. Always nice to reorganize myself and look back at the year. 1. Gate - Read the manga, was impressed. Watched the anime and was again impressed. And Rory was just too awesome. 2. Overlord - VMMORPG setting that I thought was well done. (And I love this genre) 3. Rokka no Yuusha - Fantasy setting, great animations and most importantly Nashetania. 4. Charlotte - Main character (Otosaka Yu) was pretty interesting. Sort of reminded me of Lelouch and it was fun to see. 5. Fate Stay/Night Unlimited Blade Works - Well, the fight scenes were amazing. Enough said.
  19. Just started Tales of Zestiria today. Can't say much about the game right now but I must say that it has the classic "Tales of" series feel that just makes me so nostalgic of my younger days when I was playing Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Eternia.
  20. Lol, all the hate for the Sakura series makes me want to play at least one of them to see what its about. Good job guys.
  21. Basically, the two manga that I've been following lately have been Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko and Shokugeki no Souma. I can't get enough of these godly drawings in Shokugeki no Souma! Also, I guess the plot is interesting but it progresses very slowly...
  22. Well summer of 2017 is still a very long time away so I may try reading the visual novel before then. But when it does come out, if the animations are as good as something like Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade works, then I might end up watching it just to see the epic fight scenes.
  23. I have never actually played a VN with a trap heroine so I wouldn't know. But I guess I probably wouldn't mind it considering that I like reading gender bender/ cross dressing manga such as Yamada kun to 7-nin no Majo, Boku Girl, Cherry Boy, AKB49, Mayo Chiki, etc, etc...
  24. Oh, i haven't heard about those..i'll have to google them up and read about them if you recommend them i'll try them out and i can deal with lenghty Vn's i can do em in bursts and take my time to go through them..do they have many routes or just a few? any recommended route to start with? These are the type of VNs that have heroine routes at the start and then have a true route at the end that sort of ties everything together for the conclusion. For Rewrite, I would recommend starting with Kotori because its a good introduction to the setting in Rewrite. And as for Ever17, start with Sora because Sora was the best heroine for me.
  25. How about something like Rewrite or Ever17? They have somewhat light-hearted and fun common routes and then all the action and drama start happening and it blows you away. That said, they are long very long and time consuming so it is a big commitment if you are going to be playing through these games. But if you can persevere through all the slice of life, then you are rewarded for all your troubles.
