I don't usually skip in VN's but I do find that many VN's are bogged down with too much unnecessary text or even whole routes that shouldn't be there (G-senjou I'm looking at you).

My Japanese is pretty shoddy but I think it says that the save is corrupted. Just load your last save and skip to the part where your last save was and read from there and you should be fine.

I'm pretty sure Princess Waltz was originally Japanese.

@Snowpoke I fixed it that day. It just took the entire evening. The problem was that my registry didn't update correctly when editing and using the included registry file so I had to edit it manually.
