  1. I have spoilers fully on, that's probably the reason.
  2. I enjoy a good bad end, but there's nothing wrong with happy ending after happy ending. Not every VN has got to make you feel bad. Sometimes you just want some fluff and sugar. As for Mizuha, VNDB has her listed as a classic tsundere.
  3. Played some more Akiba's Trip before class today. It's fun for what it is. Thinking about buying the Sims 4 against my better judgement.
  4. It sucks about Youtube, but I'm glad you've found at least a semi-satisfying alternative. Thanks, Ren. Looking forward to more episodes of the podcast and seeing your Clover Day's series personally.
  5. I've been looking forward to seeing this get started. Hopefully a fiery death is not in my future. It's also kind of got me interested in purchasing the Sims 4, despite the logical parts of my head telling me not to.
  6. I would definitively call this dope: 3005 To Love
  7. Happy birthday to Undying. I hope you have a satisfying one.
  8. I thought there was some charm to be found in Boob Wars 2's absurdity, albeit that charm wore thin rather quickly. I wouldn't seriously recommend it either though.
  9. I think I've settled on reading it next after I wrap up Koichoco hopefully this weekend. Appreciate your thoughts.
  10. I have heard mixed things from people, but that's a very encouraging endorsement.
  11. Welcome to the community. You'll certainly have no trouble fitting in here. I hope to see you around the forums.
  12. I played some Contrast. It's pretty. I'm looking forward to The Evil Within next month, looks genuinely creepy and super gory.
  13. The Hotline Miami soundtrack is pretty great. And by pretty great I mean abso-fucking-lutely amazing. See here:
  14. If you're only looking for translated visual novels without gameplay, that significantly whittles down the already small list under the tag Medieval Fantasy on VNDB. From that list, Mashou no Nie doesn't have any gameplay, but that's just a mediocre nukige that just happens to have a medieval setting. If you're open to urban fantasy, you have the likes of F/SN, Tsukihime, and Coμ.
  15. I'm sorry that this is so sudden, but I want you to marry me. To keep this on topic: I haven't read nearly enough VNs or watched enough anime for most of the pervasive archetypes found amongst the two mediums to outright put me off. I can recognize a flat, 2-dimensional character for what it is, but I do get some base enjoyment out of osananajimi and kuudere heroines. That said, and what pretty much goes without saying, a well-written and realized character will always be more palatable to any of my preferred archetypes.
  16. Well, most recently I'd probably make that association with Grisaia. G-senjou no Maou was my first visual novel and the one that got me interested in them, so I usually like to count that among my favorites. I'd probably also include F/SN among them as well. I hope to see you around the forums.
  17. Welcome to the community! That's a very respectable ambition you have there. What would you say is your favorite visual novel?
  18. From what I can tell, it hasn't been made available yet.
  19. Shifting into study mode go! No really, I'm going to do it this time.

    1. Darklord Rooke

      Darklord Rooke

      Shift back into sleep mode.

      ~Sleeeeeep Mode!~

  20. You'll find a (sort of) wide array of opinions on the matter here: What's your favourite type of heroine? What is your favorite type of heroine, and why? As for me: I enjoy the overbearing types - the jealous and demanding kind.
  21. It's not a hard-set definition, but I usually defer to: What is a Visual Novel? When to add a visual novel
