VA-11 HALL-A: A Cyberpunk Bartender Action

I'll be definitely keeping an eye on this. Love cyberpunk settings and at that price it's not that risky of a buy. Speaking of which, did anyone play CYPHER? -

Oh man, I'm really digging the aesthetic to this and the music in the trailer. Thanks for the hands up on this. Does the full game have a launch window? -
Clannad to be released on Steam by Sekai Project

I agree with what IceD said above. I'm very limited in my exposure, but I adore the graphics on games like YU-NO and the older Alicesoft games. It's not for the same technical appreciation, but there's a certain quality about it that I can't exactly put my finger on that I find charming. I personally don't find Key's art style too appealing, but I wouldn't go as far as call it ugly. It is a look that simply took me some time to get used to. It is something that will affect who the game will be able to reach though. It's not too off to assume that the general steam user with no interest in the medium or anyone with a limited interest might make a sweeping conclusion and pass over a title due to what might be commonly perceived as ugly or low quality artwork. -
Welcome to Fuwanovel, Jibril. I hope you enjoy the time you put in here.

Welcome to the community, Lefon. I hope to see you around.

Where's your sense of adventure, Zeno? There are many different applications of butter to discover.

Aw, it crashes for me during the scene after you meet with Reed Hastings and Netflix-chan. I was surprised that there was actually a bit of satire mixed in with the absurdity.
-
Oh fucking man. I just got past the good/bad end split for Michiru on GnK, but this totally takes precedence.

Apart from the ones that have already been said, the only others I can think of: Kikokugai - The Cyber Slayer Hanachirasu

A little bit of Hearthstone. Also trying to coordinate with some friends to play Day Z sometime in the immediate future.

I really think the direction you guys are taking on the social media front is a good idea, especially the plans for the youtube channel. It sounds like it'll take a lot of work, but it'll add value to the main site. Unfortunately, the only front that I am familiar with and could be any help with is facebook. If no one else rises to the occasion, I'd be happy to help with technical questions -- admittedly it'd be a mix of the standard stuff + some googlefu. It would give me a better reason to use facebook than the handful of people I actually use it to keep in touch with. I'll also echo what Hotsauce said: I first started visiting this community for the blog. In fact, I vaguely remember this, but I think the blog precedes Fuwanovel? I remember it going down for some time and then discovering this site afterwards. Either way, I think the blog should be the crowning jewel of the site. Apart from /r/visualnovels, there's no other place but here where I get VN news. The few sites that I used to visit for that are now defunct (encubed, visual-novels.net, VNTLS News). So I put a lot of value on it. On one hand, I see merit in what Hotsauce is saying. Focusing on news over promotion would add a bit of legitimacy if only in a thin sense and the other social media outlets could be a good alternative to dump community promotions. However, it is Fuwanovel's blog and I feel that it wouldn't be out of place to promote the things the the Fuwanovel community is doing. Anything that might grow an interest in the forums here and encourage people to join is a good thing.

Oh man, this is pretty exciting. I hope everyone here will be sure to buy and support it to demonstrate to Key that bringing VNs to the west can be a profitable venture. -
I'm just gonna say this: Paula Deen in a butter bath. Also, the OST for this game is truly a wondrous work.

Well, this is an exciting discovery. I wonder if it'll hit on all the culinary fetishes I didn't even know I had?

The medium has something special about it. Nothing else consistently pulls me in and provides the feels like visual novels can.
-
Afraid not, but I think she does get one in the fan disc.

Visual novels usually have an option to skip already read text or even skip to the next choice in some cases. You can also be prudent and make save files at certain flags/triggers/choices so you don't have to go back and do all that.

It ultimately comes down to personal preference. A lot of people like to have their first playthrough as a 'pure' experience and then they move onto using a walkthrough. That's not something that does much for me in terms of adding to my enjoyment, so I personally just find a commonly agreed upon route order and use a walkthrough.Certain games (Things like C;H and F/SN) it will be unavoidable to use a walkthrough on if you want to see everything and not waste your time trying to figure it out. EDIT: Some words.

To be fair, Yumiko's bad ending is only a bad ending in the sense that it is the least satisfying of the two. Either choice leads to Yuuji and Yumiko sharing a happy life together and making a family, it's just one is more satisfying and wraps things up more cleanly. Also, its not unexpected that confronting your problem is the better option over running away from it.

Welcome to the community, Kyoroto. I would recommend you play G-senjou no Maou. It was my first visual novel and the one that got me interested in visual novels as a medium.

They have too much interactivity and gameplay to be considered a visual novel. They are no strict definitions, but I usually just use VNDB's guidelines for what I consider to be a visual novel. See: VNDB's FAQ When to add a visual novel

Has anyone else seen FishPlaysPokemon? I've been checking up on it every now for a little over the past two weeks. The novelty has worn thin, but I'll be damned if I won't be totally psyched when he makes it to Viridian City.
