Finished Muv-Luv Alternative. Easily my new favorite visual novel. Moving onto Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Patched it with the console-release sprites so my eyes don't burn. Chinami's H-scene meme made me laugh out loud XD

Gave Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs a try last night. I wasn't too impressed but then again I only played it for 30 minutes. The lighting was weird in a way that my eyes didn't like, which isn't a problem I had with the first game =/ Also tried out Vanquish because I was in a futuristic mood. The gameplay seems like a lot of fun so i'm looking forward to playing that more. -
Since you folks all like Harvest Moon, can you recommend a good one to try out? Newer is probably better, because flashy things keep me interested XD

If I ever want to work with visual novel programming (ie. extracting scripts), which programming language should I learn?

Kanade's and Riho's were definitely the best, though the others weren't exactly bad. While I haven't played it, i'm pretty sure that Riho is the heroine he ends up with in d2b Vs Deardrops ~Cross The Future~

Muv-Luv Total Eclipse seems promising. The second episode was pretty darn brutal, at least.

If you haven't played it already I recommend doing Riho's route last. Her's is the canon ending so it's a nice note to finish on.

I sort of knew it wasn't a horror game, so all of the atmosphere swept right over my head XD It did get a lot more interesting near the end when you were finding clues more often but at the start I spent so much time searching rooms for very little reward. I liked how subtle some of the clues were (imagining what might have happened with Ranger Rick was amusing), though some of the storylines didn't feature often enough (like what happened to the house's original owner). -
