  1. Just started playing Dragon Age Inquisition and gotten to about the point where the inquisition has been formed. My current MC is an elf mage who at some angles looks like a younger Paul McGann with a bad hairdo. It's an okay start though I'd say the best part of what I've played wasn't until I could finally start having conversations with the current companions.
  2. For me it's the Blazblue series, Guilty Gear series, Persona 4 Arena, Soul Calibur 2-4 (everyone I knew told me not to bother with 5), Smash Bros. series, Dead or Alive series, King of Fighters and a little bit of Street Fighter if we're going with series. Did enjoy the recent Mortal Kombat game since it made for a good enough intro to the series after watching the movie so I'm looking forward to the upcoming sequel. Have some fond memories of Capcom vs SNK 2 and Capcom vs. Marvel 2 since I played those with friends...and constantly got creamed.
  3. So anyone here tried this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bc_Jovck1so
  4. Beat Dragon Age 2; overall I enjoyed it. The core characters were good, the narrative device they used with Varric (my favorite of the bunch) was an interesting idea that worked, and my only issues with it are mostly technical (recycled maps and glitches). I do have a couple issues writing-wise (off the top of my head) if I need to nitpick: 1) Fenris was the least interesting member of the party where his backstory is almost all there is to his character. I'm not going to say I outright hate the character like some do (though I can understand why) as there are moments where he and Hawke talk to one another as friends and it does feel genuine. At the end I just wish there was more of that. 2) I have some mixed feelings about Anders... So all in all, enjoyed the game, don't think it deserved the hate it got though I will admit it should not have been rushed out since on at least the technical side it could have used some polish.
  5. Glad I grabbed the Oreimo game this morning
  6. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders and just yesterday watched the 11th Detective Conan movie
  7. Beaten the Mark of the Assassin DLC for DA2; enjoyable little story both the heist and those two little sidequests for Isabella and Avaline (the former being the better). About my only complaints were the secret bosses being ridiculously difficult, a glitch where the game froze just as I beat that annoying last boss of the DLC so I had to beat it again , and as much as I like Felicia Day and think she did a great job with the voice acting the game creators putting so much effort into making Tallis look like her gave me way too many uncanny valley moments which distracted me throughout the story.
  8. Second ending since that felt like the more natural ending to Saya's story.
  9. Guess it's up to me to be positive : Shuffle! is a decent game, it's not great but it has the right quirks to not be a waste of time. Makoto Ito is not the worst MC in an eroge. Fate/Stay Night is better than Tsukihime. (go on and hurl the tomatoes I said it!! ) The (non-existent) Tsukihime anime isn't that bad and there are worse VN adaptations. Mass Effect 3's ending wasn't tha- er...sorry wrong topic
  10. Seeing as I'm nearing completion of two games I guess I'll start the replacement for one of them by putting my reading skills to the test with RuiTomo FVE. So the game starts with two of the main characters being pursued by something through an abandoned building...does the writer for this series like this start the same way the creators of Elder Scrolls like having you start out as a prisoner?
  11. Beef quesadillas
  12. Finished Azusa's route in Tsujidou-san no Virgin Road, enjoyed it, cleared her bad ending which aside from a couple ero scenes (only one by Bill Clinton standards) was kind of pointless, then played some Ai's after story. Also played some of Kusumi's route in Prima Stella; was enjoying it until the obligatory drama part kicked in which is so cliche I'm accurately calling the plot and lines prior to each click followed by an eye roll. -_-
  13. If the characters are largely unlikable and/or boring (example: Kazoku Keikaku), though I try not to drop a game so I can warn others of how terrible it is through reviews. It's the only reason I was able to make it through crap like Magical Teacher and Super Secret Sexy Spy
  14. Played some more of Azusa's route in Tsujidou-san no Virgin Road
  15. Well, if you want to save the best of the initial three for last you should play the new Hebijo next, otherwise...I've found flipping a coin works fine in deciding these things.
  16. Don't take it too hard, my copy of Inquisition is taunting me as I work on beating Dragon Age 2. I even had a dream last night where I was starting to play Inquisition before said dream's subject matter switched to something I can't remember...
  17. Actually 6 is where Cirno first showed up, but here's some wikilinks that should help explain the character: http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Cirno http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Fandom/Embodiment_of_Scarlet_Devil#Cirno
  18. I think it's obvious throughout the common route Michiru is to the Grisaia games what Cirno is to the Touhou games (though admittedly much of that is from fan interpretation).
  19. Already own the Wii version
  20. Seeing as I felt I should release a review on Valentine's Day, here's a much belated review of Eroge!: http://gamesforadultsandeveryone.blogspot.com/2015/02/games-for-adults-eroge-sex-and-games.html
  21. Played some more of Kyonyuu Fantasy 2 if, basically read through a plot that as a soon as it was introduced I knew exactly how it was going to be resolved, and easily too, which kind of made the conflict of this storyline seem unnecessarily slow.
  22. Been reading "The Wise Man's Fear" it's been good, though the story seems to have slowed down to the point that I'm wondering when it's finally going to start moving forward.
