That's rough but it's good that you're recovering. Hope you get well soon.

Okay joking aside my two top picks would be the following assuming I'm in a "sky's the limit" situation regarding how much money I'd have: First I'd give the Kyonyuu Fantasy games a full adaptation seeing as their stories are mostly linear (though the second main game is where it gets tricky because it has two main routes and a remake). Of course this would probably result in whatever company I was a part of crashing so hard afterwards as I doubt hentai anime make much money. My other choice would Tsujidou-san no Junai Road with each heroine's route getting a season's worth episode adaptation (with the exception of Saeko because that I could probably have just be a bonus episode).

Well it seems to take kickstarter projects a while to get paypal support, most of the time they get it when the KS funding is nearly over and the paypal funding continues for a while after the kickstarter funding is finished. Good example would be the kickstarter for the fourth Shantae game which thanks to that managed to hit a number of stretch goals.

Side story stretch goal has been reached thanks to paypal with 58G to reach the anthology manga goal: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sekaiproject/clannad-official-english-release/posts/1090439

What Video Games Are You Playing Right Now?
BookwormOtaku replied to solidbatman's topic in Gaming Talk
Just finished the Hebijo storyline for Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus, this one...wasn't as good as Gessen's storyline. Part of the problem is while it does have good character moments and the new heroines themselves are likable the story seems more interested in moving itself forward than taking time to better introduce said characters. I'm guessing the "Girls' Heart" storyline will do that but Gessen was able to do it in its main storyline. The other problem is... -
@roach I also recommend Sharin no Kuni and seeing as you really enjoyed Grisaia no Kajitsu it's probably up your alley.

Did like the fan service (no, not THAT kind!) in the first movie. My main problem with the Hobbit movies is the tonal change from the original book, shown mainly in the second: Beorn was not a grim broody guy, the wood elves weren't that dickish, and Lake Town was not a rejected Game of Thrones setting. On a side note did anyone know there's one more character immune to the one ring's influence besides Tom Bombadil?

I've put down 180 bucks, farewell upcoming Christmas money , I sadly won't be going any higher unless before the kickstarter ends I either get a better paying job or win the lottery which are about equally likely -

What Video Games Are You Playing Right Now?
BookwormOtaku replied to solidbatman's topic in Gaming Talk
Just finished the main Gessen story of Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus, I have to say I really enjoyed it. These new heroines are just as likable as the originals and the character development on their end is good enough, though I think a bit of the transition of viewpoints felt a little rushed at points. 1) The camera may not be shaky but it seems even more committed to trying to kill you than almost anything else in the game. Even the lock on feature doesn't help much, especially when your target is really fast. 2) Those panda ninjas are the devil ...I now understand Tsubaki of BlazBlue's hatred of them -

VN Characters You Felt That Needed a Route

Aside from Nanase and Yoruko in Comyu a route for Rondo would have been interesting maybe even a Kururi route. -
Weak Protagonist With Harem Recommendations
BookwormOtaku replied to j2.dless's topic in Anime/Manga Talk
Should point out Shinji Ikari Raising Project is an alternate universe to the main series; basically that alternate reality we saw in the last episode is the setting and if nothing else the series is worth reading for how much of a wacko Gendou is in this universe. One other anime that kind of flirts with being a harem anime is Irresponsible Captain Tyler. It's more of a comedy than anything else though, but it's well worth a watch. Two thing to bear in mind: 1) Do NOT watch the dub, it's pretty bad. 2) Only watch the TV series, the OVAs suddenly take a bizarre and out of place serious turn.- 7 replies

Sekai Project Official Grisaia Translation?

Kind of reminds me when Mangagamer tried talks with Frontwing whatever happened resulted in bridges essentially being burned. From this I'm willing to bet most if not all the fault was on Frontwing -
Weak Protagonist With Harem Recommendations
BookwormOtaku replied to j2.dless's topic in Anime/Manga Talk
Based off your list I'll recommend a few classics first (apologies in advance if you've seen these already): Tenchi Muyo, No Need for Tenchi (manga), GXP, and Universe Saber Marionette Ah My Goddess (only technically as there is a central heroine) Ai Yori Aoshi (ditto) Neon Genesis Evangelion: Shinji Ikari Raising Project History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi (though this is more a fighting anime/manga than harem and it fits your bill since the protagonist starts out pretty weak)- 7 replies

Gotten past the first choice point in Monomono and heading in the Carrot/Alice route path...I was not expecting Mikado to do something that impressive. I think I'm going to really like this game
-
Started playing Monomono, this game (talk about long titles): https://vndb.org/v14321 So far I'm liking it as it's doing a good job introducing the heroines so far and the jokes are pretty funny (I'm starting to wonder if Tsubasa's taken notes from Majikoi's Miyako). Also liking the premise

Can anyone tell me if the Index movie is any good?

While the first mecha anime I full on watched was Gundam Wing (unless Tekkaman counts, though I never finished it as that got pulled from the air right after a cliffhanger episode ) I remember occasionally watching episodes of Voltron (I do not mean that CGI show...though I watched a few episodes of that too ) whenever I encountered it channel surfing since it reminded me of Power Rangers.

Finally completed Ell's route in Osadai, was surprised at how well timed doing that was seeing as it's December. I'd say of all the routes I enjoyed Ell's the most since I enjoyed the story and really liked the jokes especially in the later parts of the route (was not expecting scryed references). Now on to the fandisk...
