Of course the benefits of digital manga are accessibility, but the feel of actually having a book and flipping pages is priceless. I used to not be able to stand reading books on some sort of digital device (I've gotten over it now), but having an actual physical book is infinitely better. Everything seems less flat, maybe partly because the physical book pages literally aren't flat. Idk, it's probably just something weird, but I find having an actual physical book is so much nicer than reading on a digital device.

False, I've eaten whatever I've wanted within reason and with plenty of exercise I've stayed healthy without needing to follow any diets or anything weird. Next person likes chocolate.
-
True, although tipping is somewhat strange. Next person enjoys eating.

This is actually interesting because I've lived my life according to the motto of never regretting anything. I really don't want to look back in any amount of time and say "dang I should've done something". I can't exactly follow out never regretting anything down to every little detail but I've found it's made my life as a whole better. If there's something that you're on the edge (as long it's not something clearly bad ie: murder) then you should go do it. In some cases you'll never get the chance again. Then you'll be plagued by that feeling of regret I suppose.

Ef is nice if you enjoyed the eden* atmosphere. I was in the same boat as you in the way that I read eden* and then was like "hey minori is pretty cool so let's read ef." Although I did like eden* ever so slightly more, but if eden* was enjoyable for you I'm sure ef will be too. It's set in a somewhat generic sort of high school setting but I found most of the characters to be well written. One bad thing about ef for me was that some of the routes are not as enjoyable as others. This is kind of bad in ef because it's a linear storyline and you have to read through every protagonist's/heroine's 'tale'.

As undemocratic as doing something like this seems, it's probably still a good idea. I think that if the Republican party wants to actually have a brand image that has a chance of actually producing a viable presidential candidate they'll should somehow excuse or censor Trump. With an increasingly diverse voter demographic, a xenophobic and very racist candidate is not good for the party. As for whether they should be able to veto Trump's candidacy, I think they also should be able to. I view political party officials as a bunch of people who have power that just happen to have political views similar to the people that vote for them. If the party's views no longer line up with the voters, then the party should be able to do something else. As mentioned above, the constitution mentions nothing about actual political parties, only about who elects the President. Deciding candidacy is mentioned nowhere. So therefore, I think that the Republican party should have decided to deny Trump the candidacy and should have the power to do so. It is undemocratic, but it doesn't change the fact that at the end of the day on November 8th you get to choose somebody on that ticket regardless of what party nominated them. You can even write in the name of your dog if you want. Having a political party nominate somebody other than who won the primary makes the political party undemocratic, but doesn't ruin the whole formal institution of the U.S. general election (it would take the electoral college to just vote for random people for that to happen). Theoretically if the Republican party had decided to deny Trump's candidacy I think that a lot of people would've been upset. Trump might've ran as an independent party even though he said he wouldn't. And if he didn't run as a third party ticket he would probably trash the party in that case. But, I think that is a hit that the Republican party would've needed to take. Sure if they decide to deny Trump the candidacy this year they have no chance of winning this election cycle and probably not the next one due to the incumbency advantage that the democrats would have. But, they don't lose that much. They would probably keep congress and be able to maintain an image that still appeals to moderates on both sides. But they didn't deny Trump the candidacy and now they still basically have no chance of winning (although that is changing a little unfortunately) and have a bad image. And if Trump does end up winning I'll just look like an idiot. But it's okay because I have faith in the American people to choose the better candidate.

Recommend me Something -- Romantic
Polycentric replied to Mr Poltroon's topic in Anime/Manga Recommendations
For manga, there's always the recently finished Nisekoi. It's pretty light hearted and very very harem. But, there is a conclusion so that's always a plus. Also, Kimi no Iru Machi is a pretty good romance. It had a very interesting plot and is full of drama and romance - on your MAL list. Hopefully I used the MAL search function right and you haven't already read these . For anime, Sakamichi no Apollon is great. The characters were well written and the plot was enjoyable too. -
True, although his newer movies aren't as good. Partly due to him getting older, but I guess I also don't like the direction they're going. Not to say that they're bad at all though; his new movies are still really enjoyable to watch. Next person doesn't watch movies very often.

Finding motivation for reading when you just cant seem to get to it?
Polycentric replied to Nuka's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I think visual novels are unique in the way that they're one of the only mediums with such an absurd amount of filler material (ie: food discussions) that don't really contribute much to the story or really anything at all. In my small amount of experience, visual novels generally take a while to take off especially if the common route is longer than average. I haven't played KS, but if you're interested in a specific heroine that probably means that you have some sort of interest in the game and you just either need to give it some time or get to that heroine's route. As for whether or not forcing yourself is worth it? I don't think so. One of the big benefits of visual novels is the idea of immersion into the game. To some extent we are supposed to be (in the shoes of) the protagonist, or at least to some extent relate to the protagonist. If you're always restless or tired or can't focus it makes the visual novel medium as a whole lose a lot of its efficacy. Also you might be expecting too much out of KS all the time. The whole "I wish I could read xyz again for the first time" really probably means "I wish I could read that one scene in xyz again for the first time" rather than actually wanting to read the entire visual novel again. Of course, the common route and filler is part of the immersion visual novel experience, but it's probably not the most exciting thing to read regardless. My advice is just to forget everything, sit down (or stand if you prefer) somewhere comfortable and enjoy any visual novel for what it is and what it has to offer. -
I'm guessing the question was whether or not I'm real, so I guess I'll say false. I am a real person. Next person is about to go to bed.
-
False, although I've always wanted to know how. Next person is sick.

One visual novel that sort of fits what you're asking for is Eden* They Were Only Two, On The Planet. Extremely mild spoilers The MC is rather similar to the MC in Grisaia as in they're both military background, slightly apathetic (although in the end not), bad asses.
-
False, although I like milk, it would be too much to drink it all of the time. Next person hates soda.
-
Clannad has Misae. Although her route isn't really a full route to completion, it is there. Also this vndb tag "Adult Heroine" might help you out. Not every VN there is a teen protag and a real adult heroine, but it might be a good place to check out.

True, I've played piano for most of my life and have taken a few music courses in study. Also, I guess it's a hobby of mine. Next person enjoys classical (baroque, classical, romantic) music.
-
True, I have changed my profile since creating it. Next person is scared of flying.
-
True, sharknado. Next person prefers movies over tv shows.
-
True, people who are never serious about anything and are always joking around frustrate me. Some amount of being able to relax is useful but not being able to be serious at all is too much. Next person likes jokes.
-
False, sauces are an integral part of cooking and can make or break a dish. Next person enjoys cooking.
-
False, that would be pretty short. Next person likes to eat fish.

Here are a few that you haven't watched yet (either that or I'm using the MAL anime list search function wrong): Honey and Clover: About a few college students and their lives. Not strictly a romance, but there are relationships that pick up more later on in the show. Nodame Cantabile: About a music student who gets in a relationship with another music student. A very silly and funny show. If you really don't like Classical (Baroque, Classical, Romantic) music then you might not enjoy this show as it's centered around music quite heavily. Nagi no Asukara: It's a decent romance with an actual conclusion (the other two have conclusions but are also slightly open ended). White Album 2: Another high school romance, the ending is interesting I suppose. This only adapts the introductory bit of the White Album 2 VN. Sakamichi no Apollon: Really well written, I liked the characters a lot. If you need anymore I'm sure I can find some.

False. I'm not sure that's legally possible. Next person spends more time awake outdoors than indoors.

As much as I'm interested in otaku culture and Japanese food (despite controversy, Japan does have the most Michelin Star restaurants in the world), I feel like some aspects of Japanese culture are a big turn off for living there. As for otaku accessibility I feel like most of what I want is available in the U.S.

So many new Neptunia avatars and banners, and all so good, 8.9/10.
