Pretty much just Angel Beats - I have a huge list of stuff that's already released to read.

As was mentioned, get rid of the User's Awards buttons and just make all of the awards link to the same page. Possibly some easier awards to encourage newbies, like "First post" or "First topic". Speaking of topics, there's a bunch you can do with them. Award for number of topics created, award for creating a topic with a large number of replies or views. Maybe some topic specific award, like the walkthrough ones, but something like "Greet x newcomers"? Though once again, I'm hesitant to suggest any award which can be earned by "grinding". Tay award. "Awardception" - Collect 5/10/20 awards As Steve said, there needs to be an option to choose which order to display your awards in. Okay, time to do something productive instead of posting on forums first thing in the morning.

As for actual suggestions, move the member of the month thing to the very top. Its design differs from the simple lists above and below it, so it seems to me like it should just be above them all. Of course, there needs to be a member of the month badge. That's a no-brainer. I'm hesitant to say friend/rep badges because that might encourage whoring friends/rep. Since I want to be meta, there should be an awards award. Perhaps a birthday award for celebrating your birthday here? Dunno how you'd avoid abuse, though. All of my efforts - for naught! Doesn't change how sly you are though. :-P

You don't know it yet but the reason you said that was so that you could gain their trust and work as a double agent for us! You might think this coup is a spur of the moment thing inspired by Tay's post, but in truth months of work have gone into making this possible!

The biggest problem with reaching such a conclusion is that, of the 3, only Kaguya has posted in this thread, and even he isn't reading it right now. I propose Nosebleed, Charmanderson and I stage the coup instead. Edit: Re-read your post and realized I read it wrong the first time. Nevertheless, I stand by my idea of actually staging a coup. >:-D Edit2: In fact, our coup could be a coup against Kaguya, Steve, and Batman's coup, a sort of counter-coup, if you will! I doubt I've ever said the word coup so many times in a single sentence before.

The more free time the better. I don't have enough time to regularly read DC lately, but I make sure to do the anki for my vocabulary and Kanji every day, so I'm making a little bit of progress. If I could read for an hour or two every day I would probably have improved much more quickly. As for exactly how long - some people say about half a year, which is about how long I've been at it.

You don't need all the RTK volumes - the first one covers the joyo Kanji, the rest are for if you want to seriously learn Japanese. And yes, that's how I learned the Kanji, although I started slacking a bit near the end.

I don't have much experience, but I can tell you that reading Da Capo 3 with ITH+TA is pretty easy, while reading Kud Wafter with the same setup is difficult with my level of comprehension. As for the Kanji thing, the way I see it regardless of what you want to do you want basic literacy, so learn the 2200 joyo Kanji. What I did afterwards was start reading Da Capo 3, and as soon as I encounter a word or phrase I don't recognize, I just add it to a separate anki deck.

I read when I was 15, I think, and it was incredibly boring and the main character was incredibly whiny. I'd love to comment on the accuracy of your comparisons nonetheless, but I barely remember it, so I really can't. :/
