Ah, I see. That's a fair assessment. Yeah, I tend to forget VNs aren't like anime/manga which basically all get translated eventually and having people praising things they can't, or may never be able to, read can be frustrating. Although, even for easy stuff I'd imagine it would be frustrating as hell to read. I mean Japanese constantly leaves out subjects, and to a lesser extent objects (and even lesser extent, verbs), but yeah I guess you take what you can get.

Well, ratings are subjective. Is this because many VN readers are ESL? Sounds like a terrible experience otherwise.

Wouldn't this virtually always be the case for untranslated VNs? I mean Japan is the only country in the world which speaks Japanese.

Try playing it on a tablet :P. The story was fine, it even had some epic moments that I'll probably never forget, e.g. the prison scene with the jailer. I wouldn't call it a masterpiece, but that's just difference of opinion--I wouldn't have recommended it if I didn't enjoy it in some way.

My tablet's on-screen keyboard doesn't work the first time I log in after a boot. It works perfectly fine to input the password, but then I have to sign out, and in, once to get it to function.

It's not really a make or break for me. It's a shock going from voice to non-voiced, but that only lasts for the first couple hours.

Your best bet is to contact Maji Translations, and see if they'll put you in touch with their hacker or at least hand you some tools. The A-1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/~∞ engines should all be relatively the same.

Check the weekly VNTLS. You can also go to VnDB, click releases->filters->language->English->apply. Then click the tiny down arrow next to the Released column, and it'll show you a bunch of TBA dates. So just keep hitting 'next' page until you get the 2018 date, and check them yourself. There's also a demo for Fatal Twelve, you can download there.

Seconding Rose Gun Days. This novel doesn't seem to get enough love. I'm very anti-mafia genre, but I still loved it.

Little Busters. Short novels, like Planetarian and Harmonia, are cheap. They hit you fast, and hard, in the feels, and then end.

IIRC, VisualArts bought Ixrec's Rewrite/Harvest Fiesta translations, tossed them, and then gave the title to Sekai. Might want to wait on Conjueror to finish translation on Rewrite+ before reading.

Definitely this. The mild spoilers that result from such a system are worth it for the added convenience. The last game I played had tabs for each separate route (or transition), which showed the route completion, and overall game completion, percentages. Edit: Here's an image from vndb of what I mean. Adding my own: Changing the color of already read text--not enough VNs do this.
