I stay around G&D and G&C, and would be very willing to donate time and effort to the community in a productive way, should you desire my help. I spend a good amount of time every day on the fuwa forums, and being serious isnt something absolutely out of my capabilities xD. Either way, there are a lot of applicants, but it just shows how much everyone cares? also Batman's comment killed me. That was good, batman. That was good...

Alright... just finished watching episode 1, and I really want to watch number two (but I'll wait xD)

Yea, I wish mine looked like that, but I can't imagine doing our Skype chat with mobile... you'd have to be glued to your screen to keep up 0.0

arakura replied to Helvetica Standard's topic in Original Projects
This looks really really good, can't believe I've been blind to this for a long time now... 0.0 -
Ok, I have updated the front page. We have three, tentatively four total members and the heavens is our goal! Join us! We'll probably start tomorrow or in a couple days. All aboard the kdrama train. Choo choo

I'm a little lost as to the purpose of Lorem Ipsum. (clicked on the second link u.u). The video was pretty interesting, but I wonder how they program a computer to find patterns and also how they train it to remember them. that seems like the more complex issue to me
-
ha, i get it
-
What website do you watch it on? Just wondering? I'm not personally opposed to it ^^ edit: I think we're going to start something fresh (im sorry t.t). We'll probably decide later tonight on what exactly, but you should totally try at least one episode to see if you could get into it with us! I edited the first post with a list of suggestions, but I'm open to additional ones (especially ones focused on specific topics such as bicycling or baking or something like that... Coffee Prince was amazing partially because the whole coffee shop thing)

DUUDE I'm so excited for this. I'll message or post something when I get home from work in am hour or so!

I personally think the paired avatar and signature is awesome. Nico and Maki are cute, so seeing them twice as often is wonderful! Also, mods should be clear about the reasons for bans. Gif avatars have never really bothered me, but Nayleen is right when he says keep the file size low
-
This. I read probably five times as much about this whole gif debacle than the supposed reason for the ban, which is the derailment. (though it might just be selective pasting from Sanada...)
-
Yea, I didnt read closely enough. That said, it could probably be stated a little more clearly, because he tells Sanada off, but he also tells him off for the animated gif. It's not as clear as it should be (evidenced by the fact that this thread exists...).

If you could be reborn in any country and as any gender, what would your top three choices be? I think that in order to make it make it more interesting, you can choose your location assuming that you grow up to be the same inner person that you are now (if you know what I mean... same interests roughly, and same general personality). Otherwise, if you'd like you can specify that you'd rather just be born a blank slate in a certain country, and possibly grow up to be nothing like you are now. I'm personally interested to see how varied the responses are... My top three (assuming similar personality) would be... -Japanese female *crosses fingers for Okinawa* -Korean... female (was a tough decision on the gender, but I like the clothing a lot T.T sorry for being so shallow... also no military service) -Chinese (ultra-rural ideally) male For Japanese female, I'd say the reason is because I really am interested in Japanese culture and (I dont know if this is bad or wrong to say). I've always wondered if females are fundamentally different, or at least in what ways. Just something that keeps me thinking about the world ^.^ Likewise, I have always felt like I would immensely enjoy life in Korea (not that I've looked too seriously into it, dont take this toooo seriously) and I really like Korean clothing. I dont know too much about Korean tradition and the like, but it'd be an interesting place to live out another life. Also, being female to dodge the military service xD.... also I could be a hit superstar female pro sc2 player >,>. Finally, and this probably wont make sense to you guys, but I have this really romantic vision of living life in a rural Chinese village, like the ones you see on documentaries about wild China and that kind of thing. It just seems like a really fulfilling existence, away from the buzz and hum of life in the city. A Place where I could both learn to and understand an appreciation for the natural world in a more real manner than pretty backgrounds on my computer and trips to the park, plus the occasional camping trip. *sigh* Anyway, I think it's an interesting thought at least. I'm quite happy with my life for the most part, but I like dreaming a little ^^. Explain why you want to be what you want to be!!
-
ummm, this forum seems to take the rules very seriously, so I dont get why we cant get a straight answer on why he was banned. Since when is there a need to argue about why he was banned, shouldnt that be recorded or sent to him in a direct message or something? What's this about "probably the gif"?
-
omg! Would you be willing to start another one with me!? If not, no probs. Lmk and we can decide on one if you want ^^ Hmmm, I'll look into it, but I was kind of thinking something romance/slice-of-life focused, so I'm not really sold on it, I'm sorry. I really appreciate the comment though

They are now desperately pleading for 90 days in which to love each other for the last time on earth. If you were this man's wife, or this woman's husband, how would you answer their pleaa plea that transgresses both morality and taboo...?" I've been contemplating doing some tests to determine if a person can determine their hydration levels via snot consistency, much like people use urine color. Also fo a week I kept a spreadsheet documenting some sleep details to see what sleep time works best, but I didnt follow through with it for very long t.t

I barely understand why girls do it, let alone guys haha. Depending I'm the size of your campus it could be either a fad or some sort of joke or parading stylist as crunchy mentions xD. I've never seen anything like it personally

And I've read pdfs of books on the internet and then not bought the books (sorry book authors u.u). I'm saying I can understand the view of those people in particular, not the SSBB stuff or whatever. I'm not entrenched enough in the situation to where I actually have a developed opinion on story-based vs non-story-based copyright infringement, but it seems to be that the SSBB thing was in their rights, but also dumb. It also seems to me that this particular issue was in their rights, and probably dumb, but isnt necessarily so in all cases... I'm not big into story-based games, but I can at least understand why you wouldn't want to buy one after having taken all the benefits of actually owning it before paying the money to actually own it.

Trolling is the easiest way to prove to yourself that you actually matter in some way, by inciting a reaction in other people (real emotions). It's probably less about attention than it is about feeling like your actions have an impact on the world. This explanation gives an answer to why so many people would troll when there are other ways to receive attention, and I think even more than that you should consider how reasonable it is to say that so many people are desperate for attention. I think it's much more reasonable to say that people are desperate to confirm that something about themselves matters by affecting their world in some way... the easiest way. Getting people mad by saying whatever. It's not a particularly hard skill to come by in communities bursting with youthful passion ;D Side note, I got called a troll for one of the first times ever recently for just casually saying some silly random things in a chat filled with mostly silly random things. It's kind of bothersome to be regarded as a troll when you dont mean it, but it's also bothersome to ignore trolls sometimes. I view them as a sort of inevitability. If you want the internet, then just deal with em, because that equation a few posts above mine is true of at least a few individuals out of a ten or a hundred.

My condolences on this whole thing. While I can begin to understand the story-based-game-copyright idea, it's tragic and probably unwarranted that you took a hit for something that you did for the sake of the visual novel and the community. I expect that Pulltop isnt willing to take an imagined hit in sales for the sake of fostering the growth of the foreign visual novel community. I hope and believe that you'll find it in yourself to continue following the spirit of this idea despite these troubles. Very much luck in future endeavors, beloved entertainer. Also, fuwanovel.moe is telling me that my firefox isnt modern! T.T
