  1. I've been watching their panel. While they didn't say anything specific, they said they always try to get the most uncensored version they can. They explain to the Japanese side that mosaics do affect sales. They mentioned that no major localiser wants to have their releases with mosaics, but it all comes down to negotiation. Sometimes the Japanese side doesn't have the originals (happens a lot with older games), and sometimes the Japanese side is scared of the legal ramifications. "On their side they have legal concerns, and we respect their wishes." "If we have to."
  2. Are you referring to Hyourin? That's a LN/Manga/VN/Anime Merchandise platform.
  3. The idea isn't for a VN platform. It's for a LN/Manga/VN/Anime Merchandise platform.
  4. Yuzusoft is really popular. The bug must have either been infrequent or people didn't care enough. From what I've heard the bug doesn't do much more than pop up every once in a while.
  5. Yes. Some systems seem to suffer from this. It was apparently a bug in the Japanese version as well.
  6. Sol Press isn't just a VN publisher though. I'd obviously take their light novel releases into account for this Kickstarter as well.
  7. ?? Both Sol Press and NekoNyan have released two titles, and there haven't been many concerns over quality in either one (after the initial Newton demo which was reworked for the complete title). It is true Sol Press has been delaying Sakura Sakura, but that's because they've had to practically make the engine from scratch (incidentally, they plan to release it around a month from now). They've been upscaling and porting higher resolution sprites into the game. Doddler's tweets on the subject were actually quite fun. It's strange to think of going to conventions as 'showing off', but I'm willing to bet the main reason NekoNyan doesn't visit conventions is because they're based in Europe.
  8. International transactions. And since they're in Yen, it's causing even more problems. Banks are flagging these as suspicious transactions left and right, but the issue is solvable by the pledgers if they contact their banks. Also, there are only 220 pledges that haven't gone through left, which guarantees two of the stretch goals. With backerkit and new paypal purchases, along with those of the 220 left that will fix the pledge issue, it is likely that the 3rd stretch goal will be met either way.
  9. Me too. This looks really interesting.
  10. I'll second the Crimson Gray recommendation. It is a very good title. I will also recommend Sisterly Bliss. Yandere goes hand in hand with blood and violence, and usually torture and suffering are also present. In Crimson Gray, if you make the correct choices, you can avoid all that.
  11. Wait until the 'that was practically vanilla' comments.
  12. Congratulations to one @Kurisu-Chan.
  13. The demo that first came out had no editing. The trial that is out now was edited. Are you still concerned with the writing on this one?
  14. For clarification: Most of the in-game scenes that are not UI or tutorials were edited by Ryechu, as far as I know. The complaints against the script alone aren't quite with the way it reads as much as they are with the translations itself. The UI, however, wasn't edited and character limits make it unintuitive. Fateburn's work is not meant to be part of the final product should the stretch goal be met.
  15. What I've seen of Ditzy Demons has seemed pretty good, but if your choice is either one or the other, Sabbath is a full length title whereas Ditzy Demons is more of a nukige.
  16. He already did. I basically just stalled making a decision for so long I forgot. The fact that it technically doesn't follow the formatting rules by forcing the use of save points on Sara and the True end bothers me. If this one is moved then others may come in its wake that also don't follow the formatting guidelines in one way or another. However, this doesn't really matter much. I'd prefer it if it remained here, as it is equally accessible, but if @Narcosis wants me to move it and lock it, I will. Just say the word.
  17. Next to the spoiler symbol (looks like an eye) there's a remove formatting symbol (looks like an eraser). Selecting affected areas and removing formatting will make it so it conforms with the default background, however, it also removes all other formatting, such as text size, which would need to be redone.
  18. Formatting is completely messed up on a white background.
  19. Thank you, one and all.
  20. No @littleshogun post today? How could it- Oh, I see. Happy birthday, then. And to @Kiriririri too.
  21. Strictly speaking, the question is valid. It's asking if you like either shorter VNs or longer VNs, not which you prefer. It's actually odd that that is the interpretation people immediately jump to. Nothing about the sentence indicates comparison, but since they're two contrasting options... It does not seem like what he intended to ask, however.
  22. The issue with Tsujidou's route is that the main drama/conflict in it may seem stupid to some and happens solely because of the protagonist's personality. This is further aggravated by the fact that that very same point of contention, which would also apply to the other routes, actually gets skimmed over in those, making the fact that it was such a huge issue in Tsujidou's feel cheap.
  23. What happened to the Dharker Studios post? Did that go up unintentionally?

    1. Plk_Lesiak

      Plk_Lesiak

Yup, I've rescheduled it some time ago on the external blog, because I wanted to add "Negligee: Lover Stories" review to it and apparently forgot to correct the date here, thus two articles appearing at the same time. It'll come back in four weeks, after I'm done with Silver Cow Studios. :)

  24. The only thing I changed is replacing the old last choice with the one you gave me.
