  1. Confession: So I went to the Otorhinolaryngologist for the first time in years, and as it turns out, I've got quite a bit of allergies, I suppose you could call it. I've got Rhinitis, which would be the main cause of my constant nosebleeds. Additionally, I've got eczema in my ear canals... somehow. I had no idea. Just to add more salt on the wound, I had ungodly amounts of ear wax in my ears, to the point where the doctor was wondering how I could even hear anything at all. How did it get to this point? My father insisted on cleaning my ears because, admittedly, I have a large amount of ear wax. The results of his zealousness were as follows: Most of the wax was pushed even deeper, making removal and normal function of the natural ear cleaning mechanisms impossible. Possibly, my hurt inner ear canals may have resulted from his efforts as well. I just knew that sticking things in your ear isn't good.
  2. I can critique it if I want though. It's not like it's free from criticism just because it's a fan translation. Of course you can call it "trash-tier" for the use of a certain word, much like the rest of us can laugh at you for it. Now, I'm sure there's more to it than a word, but the comments you're leaving here are so incredibly nonconstructive that there's nothing to take from them.
  3. Of course I like being praised. I don't need it, but I want it. I also like helping people, and I'd like to think the latter does not come as a result of the former. However, I don't need other people to feel my efforts were useful
  4. Up until I was twelve I ate everything. That is, literally everything. I'd munch rocks. I'd gnaw at my scissors. I broke a phone like that. My clothes back then all had holes. I swallowed a marble. I ate books. My nails are permanently short. My pens were always destroyed before they ran out of ink. Many pencils were broken in half. Nowadays I don't do it as much. I've switched to metallic pens and I only occasionally attack plastic or paper objects.
  5. You very literally (which, of course, means figuratively) killed me with this sentence: "That’s what gets things done in the real world, not 48-hour marathons every random.randint(1,6) weekends fueled by Red Bull, Hot Pockets, and intense self-loathing." As for the rest of it, I've got to agree. Mostly because I take most of my outside work projects in bursts, and I know just how bad productivity is like that.
  6. You'd be surpised to know I've read all of these except Orange Marmalade, kimi no iru, and Fuuka, which are on my list already. Thanks for your contribution, though I have an objection. The only people I'd ever recommend Watashi ni xx to are my enemies. It has a great start, but as soon as the love triangle starts it only goes downhill. If you're looking for an actual couple it's almost to the point of torture. As for the rest of the people, thanks. I'll reply when I get on my PC.
  7. Indeed, people have told me that I've got a good voice, especially for documentaries, and I love reading/acting. Even if I may not be good at it, at least I have an interest.
  8. Under my name you can find something saying MAL. Click that, you'll find a list. Please recommend even if it's already in the plan to watch section.
  9. 10 Year gap? Ha! How about 14 years?! She's currently 15. And no, don't ask me how that happened, my parents are crazy. My relationship with my younger sister is that of us pestering each other. My older sister basically taught her how to be a pest and a pain in the arse, so I never had to do much for us to interact. I don't have many displays of affection, but it doesn't have to be like you described: hugging, kissing, etc. You could opt for other ways. I often fall asleep on the sofa and it's not unusual for us to take a nap together. Though she breaks my legs, way to heavy. While on the topic, she's also pretty fond of sitting on top of me. We don't have many common topics, so that makes conversation a bit harder. But you know how families are, everyone has opinions and it's not too hard to talk about random stuff, though younger the harder. Is cloning ethical? Time for a random history lesson, since that's my hobby. I read a book about science fiction the other day... Which teacher are you going to complain about today? Dinner sucks. Let's watch (read: force you to) a Disney film. Time for an arbitrary act of violence, since that's what older brothers do. I'll go pick you up from school. Shut up! I'm not even listening! Et cetera, et cetera.
  10. Well, yes, I've seen you advertise that page countless times before, even I had made the connection. I just found it weird that three subsequent manga had the same expression. It's clearly unusual enough to cause me to believe I heard it for the first time two days ago.
  11. Now this is curiously strange. Three manga ago, I saw the saying "There's supposed to be 3 people who look exactly like you." for the very first time. Since then, it's appeared in all manga I've read.
  12. I can't really fault you for dropping Ai-Ren. It is a bit... out there. I still can't make sense of half the plot. Kana is completely different, it has a bit of dark stuff here and there but it does not really dwell upon them. It's far from a masterpiece but I thought it was decent. Great, You won't regret reading Angel Densetsu. Unless you do and in that case I have nothing to do with this. Mysterious Girlfriend X problem is that the couple stops moving forward completely after about one fifth in. Which is a bit of a problem when that is supposed to be the focus of the manga. It's too bad because it had a lot of promise. I swear one more plotline dedicated about Tsubaki getting tempted by another girl and I would have snapped, they must have done that at least four times. While it only sort of barely hit the requirements, Angel Densetsu is totally, absolutely, entirely my kind of thing. I'm pretty sure it ended up getting a ten. I loved it. Now continuing with Love So Life and afterwards... Kanokon or perhaps Koharu no Hibi, depending on what type of romance I'm feeling like.
  13. Prefundia gives and idea of what kickstarter will be like, but that's as far as I know about it. For me at the very least, it'd be the same whether you use Prefundia first or go straight for Kickstarter. I don't know what are the typical business reasons for opting to use Prefundia.
  14. You probably do, by one hour. One bloody hour that makes the entire difference in whether I'd manage to be present for the start.
  15. May he rest in peace. I had the same sort of reaction when my uncle died. A couple of weeks later I did let it out through some sort of maniacal, nervous laughter, though.
  16. Lovely Ghost Kana, certainly does fit the criteria, but I was somewhat scared of finishing it because I had previously read Ai-Ren by the same author, which I couldn't tolerate because of... many things really. The world they were living in was really weird, and the attempts to explain the lore were mostly failures to me. Furthermore, there was a huge possibility of a not so good end, so I just dropped it. Given the volatile existence that was Kana, I got a bit afraid and decided to leave it for when I desired endless pages of nothing but happy sex. Angel Densetsu seems right up my alley, even if it doesn't fit all categories. I'll probably start with this. Mysterious Girlfriend X was suggested by a friend, and it's been on and off my list for months (as I found more and more reasons to put it on or take it off). I'm almost sure one day I'll read it, but given your opinion, it definitely isn't today.
  17. I will say with my utmost confidence: An H-Scene with voices.
  18. Oh, dear. I have neither, what sort of pitiful existence am I?!
  19. There is a main couple, but there is sort of a 3rd wheel that also wants to get it on with the protagonist and she often fights with the main girl and/or trying to ride the protagonist's penis. However, the main girl always remains main and she even kisses the protagonist in the first episode so their relationship is more intimate. I will mention that it's pretty much just smut so, again, don't expect anything brilliant. That's brilliant already, thank you kindly. Boys be... I was thinking about how I thought I somewhat recognised the name... But I certainly didn't recognise the anime. Turns out I stumbled upon the manga once before, but rejected it because it had a lower than 7 average score on MAL. Given the circumstances I might give it a read now. As for the second, it is actually on my list. I thought that short and somewhat ridiculous name sounded familiar. I will have to confirm, however, does the actual "couple" come together within the first half? 143 chapter according to MAL is an immediate alert to snail-like dragging of feet pace, and I've had quite enough of those thank you. I figured that one would be right up your alley. It was added, and removed, and re-added to my list yesterday. When the score and synopsis don't make up my mind, I usually read two MAL reviews, a positive and negative one, and then make the decision. In this particular occasion, the negative was the most popular one and I ended up removing it because of that. Yesterday I fixed my mistake and today see you find it interesting. I'll give it a read. As for your hypothetical, of course I also want manga. It's much easier to find stuff to one's own taste through it.
  20. I'll have you know that I am refined in many ways, but unfortunately, I fail to properly take care of my nails, so that's an aspect I'll absolutely never succeed in.
  21. You wrote the name wrong. It's Iburi =/= Ibushi, no wonder I couldn't find it. Either way, I couldn't ever possibly get it in a language I'd understand. I didn't actually mention it would have to be available, somewhere, in English. Well, unless I'm incredibly desperate, I'll hold off on Horimiya for the remake. Prunus - I saw this one before. I ended up rejecting it because I felt it would have lots of nonsense outside of romance, since they have that sort of premise to play with. I was also turned away by a couple of reviews I read, I think. Ojojo - I'll have to look into this one. Oyaji - It certainly looks like one. Either way, I couldn't read it at this point. This just made my day. I don't actually have any recommendations because I don't watch romance that often, I just wanted to say the above. And you think you've got the right to laugh at me while having taste so rubbish you hardly ever watch romances?
  22. Just leaving a mention that you can suggest stuff on my "plan to watch" lists. Being there doesn't mean I'll watch it anytime soon. When I have a list of over 220 manga to read it should be obvious that there's stuff that's better and stuff that's worse. Indeed it is. For a while there I was under the impression it approached perfection of what I want in a romance manga. The one you mentioned is also on my list. Constantly being put off because I can already guess, having read something other by the same author, that it will be full of drama. I've always been delaying Koi Kaze because incest with added age gap fazes even me ever so slightly. I'll get to it eventually. When I'll have read some inevitably more disturbing things. I remember I rejected Acchi Kocchi nearly a year ago (probably longer) because I was told it was a Lucky Star rip-off, leading me to go all "snobby Lucky Star true fan" on it and leaving it in the dust. Nowadays I couldn't care less about such petty things. I'll get to Air when I finish the VN, which in turn may or may not take a while due to tissue box shortages. I added and removed Kanokon from my list yesterday because I thought it was some sort of harem. Then that means there's actually a "main" couple of sorts? x Amnesia - Unthinkable, even stuff like this has been on my manga list for months. It reminds me of some premises I've watched before. While I'll keep it in mind, if this venture of mine is successful I'll probably focus on other stuff. Thankfully this thread will remain, so I'll check it when I want a change of pace. Ano Nattsu, I thought so too. I remember there was one thing alone that made me refrain from watching it. Probably a spoiler. Good thing I forgot. And yeah... I may be "watching" the other one you mentioned but my anime pace is currently very slow and this sort of VN adaptation is also the sort I watch slowly. Never seen that first one before. Seems interesting. On my list. Will read when the manga finishes publishing. I'll also read this one whenever it concludes. I've been eyeing this one for years. It never seems to finish publishing... Reading it right now. <3 <3 <3 ...I can't find Ibushi Gurashi... On my list. Thank you for reminding me of this interesting premise! Added. I guess I should start looking up the authors of stuff I enjoyed. I've been saying that will be my next ecchi read for months now. They day will arrive at some point, I'm sure. I have looked up a lot of stuff. I'm convinced there aren't many things I, at the very least, haven't stumbled upon in the past. That's why I made a habit of adding everything to my lists. I enjoyed Honeymoon Salad up till the ending and I kind of liked Hajimari no Niina though I got slightly bored through the middle. I've watched the other two, I suppose a more plot filled one could work.
  23. Please note that this request applies to either manga or anime... or VN's, I really don't care which. This request is incredibly simple and incredibly complicated. I want a manga/anime/VN (henceforth referred to as 'manga' alone) where there's a couple, there's romance and it's sweet. Sweet isn't terribly specific, so have this list to aid you: More stuff will be added if I remember. I can provide good examples for those who want them. This might seem like a stupidly inclusive topic, but I've watched and read so much, I figure the community at large might know of stuff I don't. Just leaving a mention that you can suggest stuff on my "plan to watch" lists. Being there doesn't mean I'll watch it anytime soon. When I have a list of over 220 manga to read it should be obvious that there's stuff that's better and stuff that's worse.
  24. Such a shame I wasn't there. Hopefully I'll be able to partake in an other stream of yours. If you can't make it any earlier, I might just manage on the weekend, I suppose. Note: For some reason I felt like using "an other" instead of "another" - I have no idea why in the heck. While I appreciate praise about as much as the next guy, I'm afraid I can't quite cope with the attached misspellings. I would ask that you cease immediately lest I burst in tears and purposely write even bigger walls of complaints about prosaic and absolutely correct sentences I arbitrarily decide to pick a fight with. Agreed. I'll give all of the credit to the beta testers, they sure did a bang-up job! There were (almost) no errors! edit: Okay, okay, I was one of the beta testers, along with Tiag. I'm finally allowed to say these things without Keisuke abducting me and sending me to a soviet-era gulag. I feel like I've barely done anything in comparison to Tiagof, but the real credit goes to the boys over at The Oxford Comma is Superior Subs. Their translation really is great. Today we saw just how gosh darn long this game's routes are. Hinata's is the second longest. Ren played for four and a half hours and got maybe a bit less than halfway through. Maybe next time we'll see the confession! That's piqued my interest. I was regretfully not conscious during the wee hours of the day, meaning I did not witness the livestream live, and in turn this diminishes my overall will to watch it by my lonesome. I'd like to ask what errors were found, mainly so I can see if I missed them, if I wouldn't have ever spotted them, or if I simply haven't reached that section of the translation yet. This is all, as should be obvious, a part of my ultimate plan to become better at this job and eventually be able to play through various releases before other plebeians. Muwhahaha! Additionally, I also very much agree that The Oxford Comma is Superior Sub is a wondrous showcase of tremendous translation quality. My compliments to the chef. Eh? ...Did I use the wrong expression?
  25. I cannot understand why people think that at all. The original Majikoi was really focused on the "hanging out with friends"-atmosphere, thanks to the slice of life and it's utter comedic self-awareness. S on the other hand is kind of a mess. It feels like the people in the office couldn't decide whether they wanted to make a sequel or a fandisk, so they kind of half-assed both. The previous main cast has kind of outlived it's usefulness and stays around solely for the sake of staying around, while more than half of the new characters didn't even get route treatment. I like S personally because of the introduction of new characters and a new story arc (Bushido plan) which expands even further on the A-disks and gets really interesting. I can't wait for A-5 to come out and see how Yoshitsune plays a bigger role in it. I am not a fan of too much slice of life and common routes so maybe that's why I really prefer S by a long shot. The villains were a lot more serious and powerful than the original in the "true route" version of S and I love the little mini movies especially that amazing Hidden Content I'll have to side with Texas here. I'm all for Majikoi. I love the series (Majikoi and Majikoi S), but I'll have to conclude Majikoi S is an inferior product for the reasons mentioned. A great deal of it is naught but H-Scenes and afterstories for previous routes, making for a truly Fandisk-like feeling. By the same token, it also introduces an all new cast and plot - which they don't fully develop, only truly focusing on two of the new characters (Tsubame and Mon-sama). I'm sure it'll only get better from here. All the pieces are in place for Majikoi A to play with them to his fullest extent, but as is, for us plebians which haven't read the Majikoi A series yet, it feels like a somewhat incomplete product, leaving us hanging in the sequel department. I wouldn't mind a fandisk, but I feel like I was sort of teased with this entirely new cast and only getting to experience a couple of them. As for villains, I don't agree. Even if I did, in a VN like Majikoi more serious and powerful villains aren't necessarily a plus.
