  1. Valkyria Chronicles, along with a bunch of the choice-making story games by Telltale Games in the vein of The Walking Dead.
  2. On the other side of the spectrum, you have aberrations like me,
  3. Stop laughing, guys! I'm in Aoi's team, too.
  4. she looks a bit young even for a loli is she the doll from Katahane? She may well be a doll, but she's the greatest doll you'll ever see. Such happiness. Such tears. She moved me greatly by appealing to my weakest spots.
  5. While I don't have much to contribute, I am incredibly happy to see some constructive discussion on translation and localisation of speech patterns, quirks, and untranslatable things in general. I'm very much a fan of creative solutions, no matter how unorthodox or, well, plainly bad it turns out to be. It's certainly a welcome effort to try and be unique.
  6. If you'd believe it, I hadn't even noticed myself. That Tiag fellow really does appear to be pictured, such a suspicious looking chap.
  7. I had been worrying and worrying about this, but I've finally found an answer. If I had to name a preferred female character, it would be this one:
  8. I knew it wasn't going to be cheap. I guess it's time to wait for the end of the month...
  9. Ren and Bats Stream Little Busters! as Bats takes a shot of whiskey every time stupid shit happens. Stream doesn't end until Bat's stomach has to be pumped and a liver transplant is required. All of a sudden I'm interested in watching you bash a game. If I go by VNDB standards, Ace Attorney is a VN, so anything from that series is good by me.
  10. No need to worry, it'll be indistinguishable from usual.
  11. I don't know how to operate girls. Someone halp! If they stop working you need to oil them. Copious amounts of emotion and irrationality should about do it. How is it that I can always find something that makes me laugh in every one of your posts? My deepest apologies, I am having difficulty correlating this question to the topic of girls. Please give me 24 hours to further investigate the matter and I'll attempt to get back to you.
  12. Seconding as somewhat related to the battle and war topic. It's entirely girls, but there is some amount of strategy (and plot armour, and luck). It's all done in tanks, pretty much. I liked it, but although I'm seconding it, it's because there's very little like what you ask for, and this is one of the closer approximations.
  13. You guys like to talk girls? Then let's talk girls. I have never been rejected by a girl.I have never rejected a girl.I have never confessed to a girl.I have never been confessed to by a girl.I have never liked a girl.(To my knowledge) I have never been liked by a girl.I have had various fleeting crushes. They mostly resulted from when a girl hanged out with me of her own volition: because I forget other human being like social interaction and immediately assumed there must be romantic interest involved. Typical prepubescent boy nonsense. They usually lasted a couple of weeks.I have broken three grills, despite having never owned one.I have never fantasized about girls... is what I'd like to say but I'd bet I may have done so back in school and forgotten about it.These days I don't interact with people outside of my family at all. Maybe when I go shopping and whatnot, but I don't have any such things I could qualify as friends or girl friends or ungirl friends (or ex-girl friends and vice versa).I enjoy hugging my pillow. Is that supposed to be a girl thing? What are girls anyway?Feel free to question me freely about girls on this auspicious occasion.
  14. Amen. This thread got way out of hand, but supplied me with something entertaining to read in a boring history class. This is the off-topic topic topic, right? Then allow me to take a minute to rant about how there is no such thing as boring history. Alternatively I could provide my opinion, that being I do not care about explicit H-Scenes, nor the CG loss consequent from the widescreening of CG's. I should clarify I mean explicit as the antonym of implicit. I don't need the H-Scene to be pictured, but the alternative would have to be implicit.
  15. Bloody Hyped. So, yes. I still need to make time for it and put various scraps together to buy it, but I'm fairly excited since it's the only translated VN by Key I haven't read and, supposedly, one of the best.
  16. Oh! Oh! That Little Witch things seems mighty interesting. I'll take a better look at it. Pretty much everything you suggested seems interesting to some extent. It'll be useful to have these in mind.
  17. I keep putting this one off. One of these days, I swear. Put it off no more! What these two said. Great movie. Just do it. Don't make us make nest more quotes. We'll bring this whole thread down in flames if we have to. No flame can take me on! In other news, I've already I've cried like a baby today.
  18. Anime, please. But thank you nevertheless. I keep putting this one off. One of these days, I swear. I've heard about that first one often, but films with time-travel in their plots usually have certain scenes that I can't tolerate. Usually the character doing something my common sense, after watching countless films of this sort, just cannot tolerate. As the experience becomes painful, I'll probably skip this one. It's not a rational thing, no need to preach to me about what I may or may not be missing. As for the second one, it looks mighty interesting and I'd never heard about it. I wasn't expecting to get such interesting replies after three minutes, but I'll take it.
  19. I also feel fulfilled and peaceful, in the worst way possible. Finished the 70 hour game I've been marathoning the past few days, and I still have the entire Sunday to go. What a lovely day. My future prospects are even looking up because now I can concentrate on other stuff. Have a jolly good day, chaps.
  20. I'm looking for a nice film to watch thus lovely Sunday. I thought I would watch a Disney film, but then I remembered I haven't watched anything anime in ages, so here I am. My tastes with films are actually different from my tastes with anime series in general. While I'd usually prefer to have romance in the mix, I can do without it for films. What I've watched In films, I prefer fantasy settings but I'll take most anything that doesn't focus on: Action, Sports or Drama. Note it can have any of these things, just not focus on them. My heart can't take too much Drama, but I am ready to cry for a film if it's good. I also have a special place in my heart for bonds. Especially cliche things like Friendship wins over evil and a united family is invincible. Thank you for your help!
  21. My condolences. This is a terrible situation all around, and that's an understatement.
  22. Confession: Yesterday I yelled at my younger sister telling her to put milk in the fridge. I went to get some milk from the fridge today, but there's none. I feel like killing someone.
  23. And not a single one had the audacity to tell you. I'm not always observant enough to notice that kind of thing, but when I do, I don't keep it to myself. One time when I was in high school, I noticed a girl walking around with the back of her skirt up. While everyone else was looking away, laughing, or being creepy about it, I brought it upon myself to point it out. Sure, you could argue that it's embarrassing to bring up, but it's even worse to just leave it alone. We never met after that, but she did thank me. I'd like to think I could calmly tell a lady her skirt was tucked up, but I'd probably start thinking how creepy I'd look for doing it and gratitude would turn into a slap in the face with some scream of PERVERT!!!! My diagnosis: Severe case of too much anime and VN's. I recommend going into a rehab centre in Siberia. Or China. I leave it up to your unreliable discretion. Confession: As my work load piles up, the amount of games I buy and play grows proportionately. This is not sustainable, is illogical, and I'm making it work. Praise me because this is clearly praiseworthy.
  24. According to the budget poets that write the Japanese for said scenes, what people value is words on a screen to which they can dedicate minimal conscious attention whilst they impatiently await the coming of the climactic, marginally altered CG. Then rare cases like me pay all due attention to the actual text while muting the sound. Suffice to say, that's why I don't read H-Scenes these days.
