So what's up with Western VN developers going for Japanese settings
Mr Poltroon replied to Kanbe's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Touché. Why endeavour in the pointless? Personal opinion so as to not be off-topic: I couldn't care less about the setting. I can't distinguish a good story from a bad one anyways, so even if utilizing a Japanese setting would damage other parts of the writing, it would end up being the same to me. -

Mr Poltroon replied to Kanbe's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I'm sorry. Perhaps I lack sufficient intelligence but I failed to grasp your points and thoughts on this topic just from your, carefully chosen, I'm sure, gif and single sentence. I again apologise for being unable to completely understand what you meant by this and why it would cause such a reaction from you. I'm thoroughly embarrassed. I sincerely hope you may deign to enlighten me or any others in the same predicament that are actually interested in something more than a baseless *pffff* at the rest who partook in some sort of discussion. -
And yet, I fit neither category. How can I be such a prude and play visual novels all the same...? That I'm all for. Still trying to find men with bigger ones that my family's men. It's like a curse (except me, I'm fit as a fiddle, in terms of weight).

Happy birthday, people! I'm not even going to list your names, so for all you know, I have no idea who the hell's birthday this is. It's wonderful! Just copy and paste this message everyday and I'll become the nicest person on the forum!

Hopefully it makes more sense now. The first two 'you's referred to 'a costumer' and the other one referred to Kaguya.
-
I can certainly understand Kaguya's views. Most consumers get annoyed at this type of practice since it wasn't like this before: One pays a complete price one gets everything. Nowadays one pays the complete price and one gets most of it, with all the non-important stuff removed and made into a pre-order extra. Basically forcing a consumer looking for what would previously be considered a complete product to pre-order and put themselves at extra, unnecessary, risk. I don't think what the companies are doing is necessarily wrong, but that consumer reaction would be like this is predictable. By boycotting pre-orders we could possibly influence companies to go back to the 'release a complete game' mindset, so why shouldn't we boycott pre-orders? Unfortunately, given how there are plenty of people like Kaguya (or people who just don't think at all, like me), companies will get away with more and more schemes to charge consumers, which is rather sad for those looking to enjoy these games to their fullest.

Confession: Starting to day I'll be busier again. *le sigh*

Oi, in terms of life experience you guys look like professionals to me. Nothing particularly interesting happens at home, you see?

We have quite a bit of electronic machinery at home. It is for this reason than none in this household get particularly surprised by this type of event anymore, but it's still somewhat spooky. I have a DVD player that always turns itself on and off a 8:00 AM. I have no idea why. Maybe it's some sort of mysterious setting that does it. My younger sister's TV likes to turn itself on now and then. Which is terrible depending on the volume it's at. According to my father, it's, somehow, the wires that make it happen. Nothing beats that old coffee machine that made coffee by itself one day. It's probably an old phone or some sort of alarm (prank?), but I swear to goodness that during the early morning, I sometimes hear a really spooky laugh come from behind me, that's my sofa and my bedside table. If my dog hadn't been in the room when I heard it for the first time, good lord I would have shouted. After that I got used to it. "Sometimes I hear a spooky laugh come from behind me in my room, nothing strange here." There's probably more stuff (like my computer turning itself off for no reason and with no warning), but as you can see, these are just a bunch of electrical glitches.

I know, but I did you the favour of not going to look for them a quoting them here. Thank me.

Jesus Christ. Everything really does seem to be coming down on you whenever they have a chance, huh? Also, that 'like' is not that I enjoyed reading these news (that shall remain undisclosed), it's for you being willing to report the situation even under these circumstances and for your continued good luck (as far as that one goes in the middle of a gian storm). Best of luck, truly. Bloody hell...
-
As well you should... I personally need to divert all attention to my older sister in order to get through without permanent battle wounds.

Feedback: It's wonderful. And I mean that in the worst possible sense. It is not near random enough. It pretty much makes sense and while it's cluttered with references, it lacks anything that would make me rage and other laugh. It seems more like a... random, unninteresting somewhat parodized story, but not sufficiently so. Therefore, I can't say I dislike this story for insulting me, because it doesn't, but I can't say I like it for being funny either, the original intention.
-
I can somewhat agree.
-
I just read this godforsaken line. Is this a bad omen?

Let your birthday be happy, because if you don't have a good one at this point, that's some seriously messed up luck. Everyone's wishing for your happy birthday!

Did Fuwanovel stop offering Visual novels to download?
Mr Poltroon replied to visualnovelfan's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Oh, I hadn't noticed Fuwanovel stopped distributing them. I'm so glad we have good Samaritans like you notice the little details. While I'm sure there are, pirates are everywhere, I don't think the average member is allowed to just spew a bunch of sites distributing illegal content when Fuwanovel prohibits it. The visual novels distributed by Fuwanovel shouldn't be accessible anymore, as far as I know, and any you see are, as the user above pointed out, likely dangerous. Edit: I should probably go to sleep, but my lack of self control won't allow me not to make this post. -
You were warned not to press the big, red button. Confession: I'll be going on a picnic this weekend. There's lots of unknown people there. I trust my heavy book will manage to keep them away.

That bloody thing is screaming 'Hype' at me. -
The sheet of paper does not care for trivial matter like whether "You know how to hold it" or not. The sheet of paper strikes when the time is right, and when you least expecting, causing the largest amount of pain it can manage. Confession: I feel I should not be diverging this thread from the main point of discussion that is the confessions any further.
-
Are you implying a person is inherently stupid for unwittingly cutting themselves on paper?
-
I feel hurt, too. ...I cut myself on some paper. It truly does hurt.
-
Let's see... what would be the rudest question I can think of...? Ah, I know! When's "Threads you should check out" coming back? Hurry up! Edit: <3 <3 <3 added as insurance.
