  1. I have no money for games right now save for what I have on the side for ZE3 and that P5 CE is killing me
  2. Taking opinions on ebook readers. Namely the Kobo Glo HD
  3. Kill me Atlus y u do dis Persona 5 coming to NA on February 14th 2017 Well at least this Valentines I have a reason to be alone
  4. Just binged Mayoiga (the 10 available episodes at least) with my best buddy. The first 3-4 episodes were great but the rest kinda devolved into stuff that wasn't as enjoyable. Got very confusing around the end as well. (spoilers up to ep10)
  5. wait what where what wait NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO DON'T DO THIS TO ME MUGI NO NO NO
  6. TBH, I am interested in the unique bonds prople form in an MMO and how raiding works, but the thing is I know I'd get addicted and that isn't a luxury I can afford. I meant the RTS games, for WoW I think I will just find a way to read up on the lore (some sort of Chronicles exists according to my friend).
  7. 5.5/10 nice cutesy thing but cutesy things ain't mostly my thing
  8. 0-3 hours: Thousands of deaths as a result of malfunctioning planes, cars, medical equipment, hazardous tools; nuclear reactor meltdowns irreversibly corrupt numerous cities 3 hours-1 day: Major intricate frameworks such as power grids, banking systems, Internet collapse. A primitive sort of communication between world governments is established. Fires from factories etc. spread, killing more. 1 week: Water and food gains great value. Warehouses start to get raided in search for food. 1 month: Anarchy reigns in a post-apocalyptic world.
  9. Confession: Watched the Warcraft movie because this buddy of mine I met this schoolyear is a huge WoW fan. I liked it actually, might check out the games and lore someday.
  10. Started Final Fantasy 7 again, it is great. I actually liked the characters and the plot far more than I thought I would (was expecting a 7/10 situation). Part of me still wonders if I should have gone with FFVI for its seemingly better story instead but I did like the first four hours of FF7 I played, though I did have to drop it 4 hours in. Will juggle it alongside Soul Sacrifice Delta, which tends to tire me quickly due to its structure (which is very puzzling because it is otherwise a top 5 of all time contender for me, be it story or OST or the art style or the not so fun gameplay). Sigh. Oh and BTW if I don't finish both before the end of the month I'll probably only have a chance in August to continue. RIP
  11. What the fuck contact authorities
  12. ...Might want to tag that.
  13. Possibly so, but certainly not on Vita hardware. Perhaps, down the line with Nintendo's next handheld.
  14. I demand proof. Also, any chance of a PC release or is that debunked too?
  15. It's impossible for Persona 5 to come to Vita as it is, obviously. And seeing how Persona 3 Portable turned out, I highly doubt having P5 on Vita would be desirable. That said, I'd probably still be driven to buy the fuck out of it I wish more for a PC version and IMHO it ain't happening :c
  16. I trust my first experience more, so it's still #2 after VLR. Huhuhuhuhu The only thing that could shake those rankings is probably Zero Time Dilemma and Persona 5 in the near future.
  17. Seconded. Zero Escape (9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors and Virtue's Last Reward) concerns itself with morality. 999 implicitly so (the characters and events are often morally grey but the game doesn't explicitly push you to ponder the characters' morality) while Virtue's Last Reward has morality as its center mechanic with ALLY/BETRAY choices and a "game" of sorts based around The Prisoner's Dilemma. VLR is closer to what you want, but play 999 first. Danganronpa also concerns itself with morality and the relationship it has with extreme stress, fear, distrust and ultimately, murder. It doesn't dwell much on these topics within the game (a la 999), but they do posit dramatic and interesting questions, albeit likely not very deep ones.
  18. Net High seems fun and stylish as hell. It is a Vita exclusive AFAIK, but I hear that it did get a trophy list from Xseed. Xseed, pls pls pls.
  19. Downloaded three demos today. Xeodrifter- A bad Metroidivania. No mood, sense of setting or exploration (there is backtracking, but in a linear fashion). Shit OST, shittier controls. Odin Sphere- this demo went up today. Seems to be more of a temporary thing to me, so I recommend that you download it. It's a very fun 2D beat em up thing (v. close to Muramasa Rebirth and Dust: An Elysian Tail I suppose). On my radar. Fez- Despite thinking that Phil Fish is shitty, I must say I really liked what I played of it. Intuitive, fun, beautiful. High on my radar. Recommended!
  20. Play P4G you ho It's LEGEN-FUCKING-DARY It's my #3 favorite game after the Zero Escapes
  21. I hate my country's politicians so fucking much that I'm excited. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-36439092 Rundown of situation: WW1, 1915- Armenian populations allegedly start to cause internal conflicts in Anatolia to assist Russian attack (someone confirm this, shit's a taboo subject in Turkey so I am not sure if that's the allegation) -Turkey, allegedly to defend itself, starts mass deportations of Armenians -Succeeds, marches the deported through desert, many Armenians die (500K according to Turkey, 1.5M internationally) -Some Turks also die -Turkey denies that it committed genocide to this day -Turkey-Germany relations are generally on very good terms, a significant Turkish minority in Germany Today- German parliament almost unanimously (1 against, 1 abstention in a house of 114(?) voters) votes in favor of a resolution that acknowledges the genocide -Erdocuck is FURIOUS, immediately recalls the Turkish ambassador to Germany -The three leading Turkish parties send a shared address/letter/ultimatum decrying the acknowledgement, drawing upon concepts like "taboofying discussion of the past", "taking Armenian conjecture as fact" and such -The signs of a huge-fertilizer-factory-ten-kilometers-to-your-home-just-got-demolished-by-the-century's-biggest-tornado level shitstorm in the air I'll be trying to cover the petty fury of Turkish politics in here. Personally I think that the massacre must indeed be called genocide though I'm interested in refutations of the "defense of nation in wartime" argument.
  22. With Zero Escape 3 set to be out by the end of the month (holy fucking shit, to think we'd come here from the "indefinite hiatus" days), I decided to reread 999. 999 was my very first VN, which I played thanks to the insistent recommendation of an acquaintance I had on a local Nintendo fan website. It became my favorite game of all time (before we get into semantics- 999 has puzzle sections and thus is a video game-VN hybrid). I'd pirated and emulated it, though- I couldn't find any website selling the game locally. I played Virtue's Last Reward shortly afterwards (a lucky sale), which then went on to become what was my favorite game and VN of all time, and still confidently holds that title today. Given all this stuff, seeing as I'd finally acquired a legal copy of 999 last October, I decided it was prime time for a replay. I was stoked as hell. Then, I started actually playing the game. ...And it falls short in many respects than I remember, perhaps because the mystery and tension is gone this time around. The atmosphere doesn't feel engaging, and somewhat stifled by the DS' screen size and resolution. The endings feel like they come way too early, and it doesn't feel like there's enough mysteries about the game (or enough clues and developments to flesh out the game's branching storyline). Character interactions are quite nice, and while the OST is as good as I recall it being it is just shat on by the 3DS' sound capability (I'm playing with earphones). And it kind of makes me unsure about all of my praise for this series in the last 2.5 years, which I loved (or thought I did) to the point where it became something I thought about practically hourly. For the last few years I somewhat judged my enjoyment of fiction relative to this series. I completely immersed myself in it, and this game's the reason I found Fuwanovel: 999 led me to find Ever17 on VNDB, from where I ended up getting my filthy hands on the Ever17 torrent page on Fuwa (riposa in pace). So I can certainly say that this game's changed my life, and now that I replayed it, I am not enjoying it anywhere as I did on my first time around. However, I'm not going to change what I think of the game generally much or alter how the game stands in my favorites (currently #2), as I think a lot of the suspense and mystery is dependent on it being your first time through. Still sucks hard. Aaaanyway, has any of you experienced a similar thing where you replayed a game only to find that you didn't like it anywhere as much as your first playthrough?
