  2. Yeah, I have thought about ways to make trance work a little better for me, but I just haven't found a reason to care that much since the bosses aren't that hard. The Limit Break in VIII sounds more desirable to me since I usually save that kind of thing for bosses, and I'm sure they'll be spaced out enough for me to get it back up again in between (at least that's how FF games usually go). Yeah, that Triple Triad does seem a lot more simplified that Tetra Master. I am cringing a little at the absence of an instant rematch though. I don't know if I'll be needing it later (hopefully not), but I'm kinda dropping Tetra Master for now. Although it was fun at first, I've just about lost all care for it now.

  4. Oh, really? Where did you find that out? I had heard from a few people that the manga was getting axed, and given the dip in quality of the arc leading up to the ending (it was slow and uneventful, imo), I was inclined to believe it. I could be convinced otherwise, though.
  5. It's 3 minutes per episode with 14 episodes. Can't hurt, right?
  6. I think it mostly has to do with the manga getting axed. The mangaka probably had the chosen heroine planned out ahead of time, but had to rush the relationship due to time constraints.
  7. Did I ever suggest banning guns completely? I would absolutely love it if guns were regulated as much as trucks and vans. Not necessarily. When a case was brought to the Supreme Court regarding the ban on semi-automatic weapons in Connecticut, they refused to hear it, and the ban was allowed to remain (Shew v. Malloy). There was a case in New York for the same kind of repeal, but that was ignored as well (Kampfer v. Cuomo). As with the 1st, the 2nd Amendment does not guarantee unlimited freedom in the area it protects (The 1st Amendment doesn't cover obscenity, fighting words, defamation, child porn, incitement to lawless action, real threats, solicitations to commit crimes). As for whether or not it would've helped, I'm inclined to believe it would've. The shooter was a reasonably sane person who just so happened to snap that day (his motives are still unknown), so I don't think he would've committed any kind of crime in purchasing illegal weapons. Not quite universal, and there are still workarounds to even further decrease their effectiveness. Also, the Justice Department under the Obama Administration was incredibly lenient on prosecuting people for falsifying background check information (fewer than 1% actually get prosecuted). The NICS is still very poorly funded, so the laws passed for background checks are almost completely ineffective. They have the ability to work as intended, but they lack the funding. Not after D.C. v. Heller.
  8. Seriously, they have such a strong grip on the localization market. I don't know how anyone could possibly outspend those spoiled bastards.
  9. Welp, everyone has just about covered everything I could possibly recommend, so I'm just gonna throw out something a little absurd. Inferno Cop Gonna 2nd this though. It's been over 10 years since I last watched it, but from what I remember, it was really cool.
  10. Namely anything that can prevent needless loss of life. For the most recent attack in Vegas, it probably would've been best to ban sales of automatic and semi-auto weapons. For others, better-enforced background checks, universal background checks, mandated training for concealed carry permits, maintaining records of gun sales, etc. Just basic common sense stuff.
  11. Yours too, huh? Just 2 weeks ago, 59 people were killed and 500 were injured in a mass shooting, and the U.S. government still won't implement any kind of gun control reform.
  12. What would you have translated it to? It's not so much that I'm opposed to translating the word baka when used on its own, just when used in conjunction with a name. And I agree, it's not impossible to translate, but it's probably impossible to translate it effectively. Asa-baka works because it flows well, makes logical sense, and has some appeal to it. Asa-idiot makes sense, but doesn't flow with the name very well. Asa-bat, while making sense logically and having good flow, just doesn't have much appeal. In this particular instance, leaving baka as is would be the ideal choice. Yeah, I suppose that's true, lol. But everyone has a different opinion on everything.
  13. Couldn't they just keep it as baka? Honestly, I think it would sound so much more natural since pretty much every English variant of baka sounds awkward as hell when it's used in a nickname (at least the ones I've heard).
  14. Good luck; I hope no one rips on you too too badly. I haven't watched Eromanga yet, so I can't really comment on anything. I am aware that the amount of hate it receives is really excessive though, and having the entire fanbase glorifying it as the ultimate guilty pleasure wouldn't help much either. Your words have sparked my interest though, so I think I'll give this anime a try soon.
  15. Adults are guilty of it too, lol. What's worse is that this was posted in January.
  16. There's really no need to go higher until you can play a ranked map with no-mod AR10.
  17. I'll get back to you after the 25th.
  18. This is why you don't take advice from people on Facebook.
