  1. I agree with you, but he is still a bit of a dick, lol.
  2. In case anyone wants to know. This is quite an informative anime.
  3. Glad to hear you enjoyed it! Imo, Knight's & Magic had a pretty forgettable and uneventful story, but the protagonist more than made up for it. I don't like how the events were kinda rushed and it didn't develop the characters that well, but I still enjoyed it greatly due to Ernesti's innovative spirit, enthusiasm, and combat capabilities. I also like how the animators don't spoil the show with CG mecha, which is slowly becoming the norm in this day and age. Overall, the combat was thrilling and well-animated, and the final battle kept me at the edge of my seat! I also found myself intrigued by some of the mecha innovations made throughout the show; it was an interesting concept to see implemented with the fantasy-mecha genre. So yeah, while it doesn't get high marks for its lack of story and character development, Knight's and Magic is still a tremendously enjoyable anime if you're looking for some old-fashioned mecha goodness.
  4. Confession: I immediately felt my age when I found this while cleaning out my closet.
  5. Not really, 9 cat months converts to 4.5 human years.
  6. That happened to me with Granblue Fantasy. It was the only mobile game I spent a lot of money on, and I do kinda feel that I was pulled into it. Given how difficult it is to set up an ideal team with good synergy, I fell into something of a spending trap with special offers that let you buy any non-promotional character you wanted. These promotions only came up every so often, so it was hard to resist them when they did. I didn't go overboard with spending, but I did invest about $90 in the game to buy the team I wanted. That's money I could've easily spent on a limited edition of a game, which I think would have been preferable (even if you stop playing, it still looks nice as a shelf decoration).
  7. Huh, that's exactly what I'm doing right now for college.
  8. You're confessing your regrets!
  9. Yours too! ^^ Idk, I guess the santa theme just works.
  10. There's a good reason I don't play horror games. To me, they're far more terrifying than movies since I have to dedicate my concentration on gameplay, which hurts my ability to put up a mental barrier and brace myself for the jump scares. I'm making an exception for Ib, though. It's still scary as all hell, but the world is interesting to me. Even though I've put the game down a number of times in an attempt to give up, I keep getting sucked back in just out of sheer fascination. That being said, I'm gonna have to play this in short bursts to avoid getting a heart attack, lol. For anyone that might be interested, this game is freeware, and I'd recommend downloading the English release here. The version I downloaded from Gameshed was kinda buggy, but the one from the translator's site works just fine as long as you run it in compatibility mode for Vista and install the necessary fonts (I'd run it as administrator too, just to avoid any kind of hassle). Yeah, it is a bit dated, but definitely worth picking up.
  11. Overall, I'm very impressed with how well you're managing this project. This is the first Kickstarter that I've felt compelled to back; not only for the way you've gone about it, but for my interest in the game itself. I like the idea of Isaac Newton re-imagined as a conceited, air-headed loli, and the art is nice too! Best of luck to you guys on completing this!
  12. Lol, ikr? xD That seriously threw a wrench in the whole thing for me, especially when it would come up before shortly after I selected cura. I decided to enable passive abilities that would block stuff like stop, stone, sleep, etc. It made the fight a lot more manageable. Now that I think about it, Quina's multi-remedy would've made him/her an interesting choice here, actually. Oh yeah, I forgot he had that, lol.
  13. My strategy involved going in with a semi-burst setup, which involved having Zidane and Vivi attacking all the time unless they needed to use phoenix downs, and I would heal with an aoe cura spell and Freya's aoe regen. Freya has MP restore too, which I tried to take full advantage of. When the party had regen and decent mana, I'd go ahead and start attacking with her. What threw me off the most was the zombie effect. I'm accustomed to debuffs like that wearing off on death, but apparently zombie stayed there, and I didn't realize until my 2nd try that it blocked revive. So I basically had to make a point to check for zombie every time the boss used his big attack that causes status ailments. I would've gone with Eiko for her aoe revive, but I wanted to finish the game with Dagger.
  14. What a wonderful boss fight. Actually took me a few tries to figure out a strategy for him, lol. Overall, I was impressed with FFIX. I'm still not a big huge fan of the ATB system in general, but the gameplay in this particular title was acceptable, imo. Unfortunately for me, the Steam port was a little buggy and I ended up crashing all the time even with the mods removed, which is partially why I temporarily stalled this game and re-played FFIII for a short while (I was in a Final Fantasy mood, lol). The story was excellent though. It didn't take off early on, which I consider a good thing, and was able to pull off a good setup for a grand ending. There were some good plot twists towards the end that I was very much surprised with too, which made it that much more engaging. The ending was awfully sweet too, though not as great as I would've wanted it to be. Definitely one of the most enjoyable RPGs I've played. I'd likely put it up in my top 10 at least.
  15. Confession: I'm sleeping a lot better now! Remember the sleep program I mentioned some time ago? Well, things have been looking up for me for the last couple weeks. Staying asleep has only improved moderately as I've gone from waking up 1 hour ahead of schedule to 30 minutes on average, but the time it takes for me to fall sleep has drastically improved and I'm at the point where I fall asleep within 15 minutes half the time (it use to take me at least 5 hours on a bad day). My sleep efficiency has gone up from 72% on my first week to 82% this week (SE is measured by time sleeping divided by time in bed), which is pretty close to the ideal 85%. Still feeling kinda tired during the day time, but that's pretty much what I expected. I think it'll be a while before I start feeling more alert from proper sleep.
