  1. No one's argued against Chuee's post yet, so nope! I'll keep fanboying till the end.
  2. Hey guys. So, other than the new Gintama series I'm watching (since I'll never not watch that anime), I actually got back in the mood for ongoing anime again. Not so much to get in the full groove of things, but I've decided to pick a few of em up. First one I watched since it seemed the most interesting is Shokugeki no Souma. I'm not sure how much this has been done in anime before, but one that involves participating in a culinary school is awful new to me. That and going off some of the previews I watched, it seemed like it would have something incredible to have along with its setting. To my surprise, I'm actually having an incredibly fun time watching this. It's one thing to see a cooking show which lackadaisically shows you the techniques involved in creating a meal, but it's just so entertaining to see how an over-the-top anime can make the process that much more invigorating! The characters are your standard bunch that you typically see in anime, but I can't help but feel like the atmosphere really brings out the best in them. I consider the extremely ero-y reactions to Souma's cooking to be horribly amusing; the overkill in this gimmick feels just about right to me, lol. As I'm not overly familiar with shows in this setting, it's hard for me to tell whether there will be a limit on how many fresh ideas can be implemented, but something's telling me it'll continue to be entertaining in the later episodes. I just hope this doesn't become formulaic; it'd be a long 24 episodes if it fell into some boring pattern. At the very least, it has a theme going for it, and I'd definitely like to see how this anime builds up on that. I've watched a couple episodes of Owari no Seraph. I don't particularly care for this kind of anime, but it's not so unbearable that I'd consider dropping it. I'll just keep watching and see where it goes. I plan on watching Ore Monogatari tomorrow once I finish up the other 2 episode of Seraph. I've been interested in the manga since long before the anime was announced, and I decided to go with this since it seems to have a pretty solid adaption (from what I've heard). I like the idea of having a not-so-run-of-the-mill male lead in a shoujo romance anime.

  8. My favorite Chata song. <3
  9. Here have the adorable ending theme by Marhy to go with them: It took all my willpower to look away from these. My god, what have I stumbled upon!? Teeku Oh, the anime's done by Madhouse too (very nice).
  10. Ah, I know. Anime fandoms can come up with some pretty spectacular stuff every so often, lol.
  11. I've decided to start reading Pandora Hearts. It's been quite a while since I first took interest in the series, and I had initially planned to watch the anime, but I decided to go with the source first since the anime supposedly ends with original content. From what I've read in the first volume, it seems I made the right choice. Alice is an interesting character and I'd love to see how she develops as the storyline progresses.
  12. http://hestia.dance/ Haven't watched the anime this is from, but it has a nice appeal to it. :3
  13. Keep the cute girl spam coming, pal. It lifts my spirits. ^^
  14. Oh man, I remember how giddy I was over buying a Rhino in the first R&C. Those rockets were glorious~ It was fun getting to try out all the odd weapons they had in that game. On top of that, it was one of the most challenging games to me back when I first played it; I remember dying so many times for the final boss. ;_; You mean Jak & Daxter right? The exploration aspect of that game was amazing. Excellent graphics and soundtracks too; it was definitely a game with atmosphere. I really didn't like how it made a change in setting with the two games after that though. I did think they were interesting and enjoyable on their own, but I liked the 1st one so much more. My favorites as a kid were Super Mario and Megaman for the NES and Pokemon Blue for GBC. A little later on, Pokemon Emerald came out on top for me (it's still my favorite Pokemon; haven't played the remake yet). The two that stick out most to me during my teen years were Soul Calibur 2 and and Final Fantasy 10. I played SC3 and stopped caring after 4. The 2nd game had a nice charm with its story and the combat was great, but the story modes after SC2 were severely lacking. The gameplay actually improved in the 4th game, but that's about it. I heard one of the games didn't even have multiplayer (seriously?). FF10 is where I really started to care about RPGs, and I've enjoyed a lot of the earlier games in the franchise too. I couldn't get into 7, and I have not yet finished it, but I'll try to beat it some time. I did like the prequel to it at least (Zack and Sephiroth are the only characters I cared about in 7). Talking about FF is making me want to play 8 now. It seems to be a popular favorite for a lot of FF fans.
