Yes for us plebs, dreaming about reading Jap is the only thing we can do. And judging from that spoiler I guess you haven't read Kiri's route yet. Believe me the revelations in that route are gonna hit hard.

Yeah I had the exact same thoughts while playing it myself. From what all I know apparently the writing was reduced from god-tier to simply good-tier. Cross-channel is a pretty complex vn so I guess a lot of word-plays and references from Jap were lost.

Started watching Log Horizon and Kuroko no Basuke. Log Horizon is definitely worth watching. And you will be pleased to know that the second season still has Database as it's OP. I have watched the first season and was gonna watch the second season but then it got delayed. Well now that you have reminded me about it I might as well get to finishing it. As for Akame ga Kill, it was good not great but definitely enjoyable. I haven't read the manga so don't know how much the adaptation screwed up but it surely was rushed in the later parts. Yeah and that Incursio evolution was pretty lackluster. And for the best girl - Akame > Mine > Esdeath

Well I guess I'm a bit too late to comment on LiquidShu's dilemma. Anyways out of the vns you named I think the best ones are Demonbane and Steins;Gate. And ........... I absolutely hated School Days ........ I consider it the worst vn I have ever read........... Well you have already bought the stuff so I just hope that you find those vns worth it.

The latest episode of Arslan Senki was great and I do feel that it will improve even further. I have to say that the two anime I'm enjoying the most this season are Arslan Senki and Shokugeki no Souma.

Finished Majikoi. Though I had actually finished it at 1 in the night yesterday....... god I just couldn't sleep till I finished it. Well it fantastic as expected and undoubtedly Agave is crowned as the best route. Overall I just loved Majikoi. It is definitely one of the best vns I have read. Feel pretty sad that it's over now. Well now to wait till S is completely translated.

Haven't read IMHO so can't comment on it. But Majikoi is definitely not 5/10. It's one the best vns I've played till date. I don't really see why one won't like Majikoi, I mean it's got all that you would ask for - comedy, romance, action. And it does all of them pretty well. The only way you can dislike it is if you go into it expecting some super-serious plot. The reason you gave, namely saying that you didn't like the comedy. Myself and many people do think that the comedy in Majikoi is top-notch.

Been reading through Majikoi since the morning and well it has been amazing. I just couldn't stop, I've been reading for 3-4 hours straight. Now I'm just before that final battle(carnival). I shall finish Majikoi tonight.

I guess I didn't word it properly. I didn't say that it shouldn't focus on romance and drama. I wanted to say that it should have it but also try and keep some variety to keep things interesting. I don't dislike romance, just that repeating the same thing over and over with little or no new content feels pretty boring that's all. And thing with drama is that generally it's too pointless and unnecessary. Again the same thing, it shouldn't be there just for sake of it. If you are putting things in do it properly. And besides my major complaint is the forced introduction of romance in all works in general. Well they are on my wishlist, though I do prefer things with a more adventure-esque theme to pure romance.

I agree with starlessn1ght that romance is unnecessarily overused. I have no problem with romance or icha-icha itself though it becomes really boring to read a couple getting all ichaicha for hours and hours on end. I think that it should be in moderated amounts and not just all over the place, if it's too frequent it loses it's charm. The major problem with romance is that people think that some sort of romance just needs to be there in whatever we are reading/watching. Romance like other things doesn't feel good at all if it's forced. That trend is especially there in animes and to an extent in vns(vns do execute romance better than animes so it isn't that bad). And after a while of seeing romance literally everywhere you just kinda get worn out of it. The problem in vns is that there is tooo much of romance. Any romance vn just has tons and tons of icha-icha with absolutely nothing else. And plus they add in tons of pointless drama. Some drama is good but as I said over-saturation of anything makes reading it painful. I for one prefer it when romance is a sub-genre and not the major emphasis of the vn(or anime).

Well I started reading the Agave route in Majikoi today aaaaaaand it's freaking amazing. I seriously had no idea things would take such a drastic turn........

Hmmm ........... seems interesting to say the least. Well I do like dark stuff, but not into femdom nor am I a masochist so I'll pass on this one.
