I don't know, if you think about it logically you are right but I know how publishers think...you only need to look at games like if my heart had wings, grisaia, eden* etc etc and I'm not talking about censoring lolis or ero (which im against but I can understand by some degree.) I hope I'm wrong about this.

Why would you work with a +18 version and then censor it if you already have an all ages one to work with, the point is to release an all ages version in the first place, right?

from vndb of all ages version Scenes with explicit content were rewritten their CG's replaced some gory CG's are censored. so yeah, is going to be that version translated then.

what about air?im reading it both in japanese and english and I must say that the misuzu's route was like reading a kids book, really really short sentences all the time and nothing really hard to read either plus it was interesting to read (not the best plot but still good)

You can use the speech of takeru's letter in muv luv unlimited, you are going to sound really cool and crazy at the same time! lol so they did censored a lot of things not just the amane's route, btw he teases her many times with that, it's really funny you are missing a lot of good jokes

I played all of them except the last one the f2p (I'm not missing anything for sure) and I can tell you that this is the best ace combat by far (story and gameplay wise) I read the story many years ago but I never had the chance to actually play it translated until now, one of my fav games of all times for sure so I'm really happy

you are missing out a lot by not playing the jap version, the EU version was downgraded almost by a 100% , this game has an awesome plot and features a lot of anime scenes, many endings, plot twist, lots of choices, again it was butchered all over when they released it outside of japan aka the EU version which has half of the mission and was released in 1 cd (the original were 2) I played it when I was 12 didnt understand much at that time but it was still awesome, it was like playing evangelion but with aircraft

Because I saw your score of grisaia, I'm sure you will enjoy sharin no kuni a lot, they are not related (same developer but that's it) and yeah you should definitely play muv luv too, f/sn mmm i didn't like it that much (mostly because of the main character) but still a very good vn.
