dies irae is more than just a chuuni vn, the philosophy about life the whole predestination behind the plot is probably the best thing it has, I mean just read the intro and you are "THAT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!" I dont like the "every character has this weird character representing them and they have to say some random German poetry every time they fight" it sounds cool but I don't like it, it also turns the reading almost impossible at times just like in KKK they start saying some random Buddhist chanting old stuff. (masada is known for doing this kind of stuff)

Air is fairly easy to read in general except for one part (summer) which is actually really hard I can't tell you why but it is, for me it was the best part and the only good thing about the novel, that and some moments with misuzu

I'm really enjoying this vn so far probably the only one that was released recently that I actually like. I don't share your point of view regarding the protagonists in general, I hate Shuuichi he is a piece of shit, but that's it. I actually think that Renji is one of the best male characters out there without being in chuuni vn, just acting like a normal human being in a hard circumstance he behaves like a fucking bad-ass not like your average teenage boy and you don't see that very often in vns.

I'm using chrome which in theory should work it's working for memrise and my custom template, I will try on firefox EDIT: on firefox works fine, seems like it's a chrome issue (I don't use firefox really but oh well) EDIT2: is working now, I re-installed tempermonkey and that fixed it wohoooo

learning grammar without N5 vocab at least is something really hard to do and counterproductive, just a silly example, let's learn the particle "no" and "to", VirginSmasheの犬と猫 oh yeah look at them I see the のand と there! but wait, what the heck is 犬 and 猫... what I'm I learning?, this again is something ultra simple and basic, you cannot learn word by word and study at the same time, can you learn english grammar without knowing what the words you are using mean? imo knowing a base vocab is a must before learning grammar.

you can start studying a few things, for example memorize 5 words per day (which I don't think can't take more than 10-15 min at best) by the time you really start learning it will be of great help.

if you have that amount of money why not just create your own vn with a dream team of your choice? I mean if you have 600000 to spend in some translation you have a lot more money than that. Learning Japanese or any other language is just motivation like you said, dedication and time, lots and lots of time, that's the trick
