Full screen vs Window

Just curious how many people actually use the full screen option that comes in the game. Since it exist i guess some people out there might use it. I personally find it useless cause most of the games are 800x600.

Recently there have games that are increasing in res but i could just be spoiled with 1920x1080 so full screening just makes it worse.

So, yeah, I don't use full screen because like you said, most games are in an 800x600 resolution format. When I tried fullscreen, imo, it just felt kind of "disgusting" because everything is stretched.

Always. My screen is small, and I think it helps immersion.

Also, by using full screen I can get a bit farther from the screen and then I can read faster.

But I'm not used to 1080p though, because my computer can't handle 1080p anime/movies.

I've been playing VNs for about 6 months, and in all this time I'm using full screen with Rewrite for the first time.

Until now I always played with window mode, but seeing how big Rewrite's window is, I just thought I might as well play full screen.

The general answer would be no, because this is the first VN I play in full screen

I always play in window mode because I can multitask that way, yep even Rewrite.

The only VN that I plan to play in FS is FH because the text is so small ;D

I generally feel it hurts immersion a lot to not have the vn fullscreen. I have a 1366x788 or something screen on my faptop, so the stretching isn't hugely noticeable. That said, I greatly prefer for the game to preserve its aspect ratio and use black borders.

well I got a nonwide screen to bed just so I can play in fullscreen and don't have to worry about it being stretched xD And I might be getting second screen to bed for widescreen vs too (and movies and anime etc - but I don't mind the black bars on bottom, I do mind on sides though)

I tend to switch a lot. If I'm reading a H-scene I ofc use window mode it so I just can click outside the window in case someone walks by. If the scene isn't terribly exiting I also tend to use window so I can multitask. Otherwise I'm full screen all the way even though I have a desktop (yeah even with 800x600 VN's). Though obviously I read with black borders. Resized artwork doesn't hurt my eyes that much but stretched artwork is the horror.

For old games with lower resolutions, going full screen makes the art go blurry, so in that case I stick to windowed mode .

Ironically, I actually play all my games in full-screen, I tend to be ok with the pixelated graphics.

I go fullscreen for every VN that lets me simply because I'll get too I dstracted if I can see other windows/icons. Doesn't take much to pull me away from anything actually.

So far I've always used fullscreen and it works pretty well so far. It gives a better immersion level and I feel like if I multitask while playing I'd lose out lots of parts, both pragmatically and emotionally speaking.

I use fullscreen most of the time because I don't want to get distracted by the other windows/programs while I'm reading. When I replay VNs that I finished, though, I switch to a window since I just skim through the scenes.

My screen is very small, so I tend to use full screen. I really don't care about artwork either- as long as the BGM and text are fine I couldn't care less about how streched the images are.

I'll use full screen unless the stretched image is unbearable. For Rewrite, I didn't use full screen because it fits pretty much perfectly on my screen in windows mode if I just move my task bar to the side of the screen.

Basically what I did. On newer vns in 720p, the resizing is not horribly noticeable so it's worth the fullscreen. However, I cannot stand stretched artwork. >__<

At first I always went full screen as I felt it helped with immersion. (Switching my monitor's display to 4:3 when needed.) But over time I switched to playing most of them windowed, not sure why, it just happened, haha.

I mostly play in window mode so I can multi-task, but with some VNs where the resolution isn't 800x600 then I'll go full screen occasionally.

Only VN I ever read with fullscreen was Remember11 because it actually looked pretty good. But most of the time I just play on windowed mode, since it preserves the game's native resolution.

As long as the text is still readable, it actually doesn't make that much difference.

I prefer to not use fullscreen, because it's easier to access other programs while I'm playing the game.

Always use full-screen because seeing window in background while playing kinda annoy me.

The only exceptions are nukiges, I never use FS for nukiges. Reason ??? You know, right!!
