Hayashi Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Is there a way to see how many lines of text/script in a game? If you know what I mean, every "enter" you press is a line? I sound real dumb. Quote
Narcosis Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 You mean the NVL mode? It depends how the game was written and whether the writing utilizes it. Quote
littleshogun Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Maybe you count it one by one if you ask me (I'm not willing to do this by the way). But I think it's quite easy if you could extract and opening the script, and then copy the script to either Excel or Word. Still too much work though. Quote
Zakamutt Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 To get the actual script size, you need to strip commands from the script file using some algorithm, or maybe use a text hooker to go through the entire thing and copypaste the hooker output afterward assuming it's reliable. TLWiki has a list of some eroge script sizes, though TLWiki tends to have a bit too much downtime for comfort. Try caches if needed. Quote
Ningen Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Here's the link to the script sizes on TLWiki https://tlwiki.org/index.php?title=VN/Eroge_Scriptsizes They also list some tools to count lines for different engines. Quote
