Right, but I suspect girls like Audrey do exist, at least having that attitude for certain people (this I can confirm, tsunderes are a thing). Real girls like Chinami, on the other hand... I don't know, maybe in Japan.

The reason why Audrey is considered by many to be the best girl, and why she wins almost every poll ever, is because she takes her trope to the extreme and does so brilliantly, basically overshadowing everyone else.
She is a treat for people who are tired of the sweet submissive characters that act like nuns who can do no sin. She is the antithesis of typical game heroines, and that's why she's so loved.

Maybe I'm somewhat of a masochist, but I mostly find Audrey endearing. The pairing of her character sprite and her voice acting go a long way, actually - when you're on a date with her, you do something good, and she says "Don't get smug" with a not-wanting-to-admit-it-but-obviously-happy smile, she's the cutest thing in the game by a mile. Not the sexiest thing, mind you. That would be Kyu, at all times. But the cutest, definitely.

Nikki, on the other hand, I can't stand, mostly because of her voice actor. I'm mostly recalling her voice outside of the bedroom, though, so maybe she's better in that setting.

Edit: A related, definitely masochistic thought: Audrey makes me feel like I earned it.

I think that Audrey's kinda interesting because, from some of the (admittedly limited) dialogue, it becomes fairly obvious (at least in my headcanon) that she has some degree of a trust issue, which she disguises by being nasty towards the protagonist. When this comes into things, the little bits like @Fred the Barber mentioned become that much more rewarding.

Nah nah, it was a match three dating sim type of game. Pretty sure it was originally Japanese too. Thought I bookmarked it, and i'm pretty sure it's been discussed on Fuwa before, but I can't find it.
