  2. hooray i found another person with the same ability as me , o.k i'll try to explain in easy english and then go on how it works. few people have the ability to see the future also known as the six sense. this website can help you on what it means: http://www.school-for-champions.com/senses/6thsense.htm real life events that other people like us have seen coming: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1218401/Yes-sixth-sense-The-depth-study-intriguing-dreams-convinced-doctor.html now this is great and all but there are limits. first you can't change the future, once you wake up you'll lose all memory until the event happen. you can not figure out any technology events (ex: gaming, youtube, etc) all events must be real or to the point where you remember. Holding a memory to change time will alter with real life or will cause the memory to be "invalid" and cease to exist. Writing it down is no different than holding the memory. lastly repeating events such as looking at the lottery will not help you win, we do not have the power to change the future. Now the complex things, i been learning to use my powers for 20 years (yes since i was 1 years old) so why do we have this power? the answer is simple, we accept possibilities. Unlike normal people that accept nothing but lies or given up hope, we accept anything that might happen. There's no real reason why normal people do that but it doesn't mean some could have the future dream. however the normal people dream are way off, its been shown that normal people only have the future dreams few often not when they accept possibilities. In japan people have this theory, you can read it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hatsuyume People outside japan experience it differently, in simple terms we gain greater insight when it happens in our timezone. Now before i end this there are other ways to see the future without sleeping, once of it is by covering your face with your hand (covers the sunlight or any light) which should look like faceplum and stretch any part of your body. You'll be able to see a very small unclear event however its never right or if this can even be consider anything related, study of this move is still under development. What we know is that the brain has a reset system and its very hard for me to explain, this website should help: http://www.helpguide.org/harvard/how-your-body-clock-affects-your-sleep.htm another is a very advanced version, which is a small power to give yourself. You have to know what will happen by planning it out throughout the day. it doesn't have to be very detail, only events that you do know will happen (ex: date, job, eating, walk the dog, etc) and then figure out what will change from past events and how the future can change with these events. Many can say its like detective work but i say its common sense because we accept possibilities. last known possible way to see the future is by, collaboration with fellow time seeing people. however like i say no one is allow to change the future so doing this will only lead to a day being wasted if not done correctly. basicly everyone must wing it to see what happens of course there is a slight possibility to change the future but no one can really say for sure. that's all, i been researching this for 20 years and still counting. its confusing yes but just know that you are not alone.

  3. Writers Note: What you are about to read is merely a chronological compilation of ordered thoughts on the conclusion I've come to draw regarding the Universe of the Little Busters!. You may find that it will be mixed with events that happened only in the anime. That is because not every piece of work is done right to perfection, and sometimes, even if it is once in a blue moon, an adaptation does produce something better than the original. Let's dive into something that's very dear to my heart. If someone were to ask me what my favorite anime would be, the first image to jump to mind would be Little Busters!. But then I would hold my tongue and take a moment to rethink. It is actually the visual novel that I am in love with, but I have found this story so endearing that I can't help but wish they would rephrase their question. It must have been three years since I've read this story, and it still resonates with me today. I have written a chronological-half-analysis-not-a-review essay of a sort. Little Busters! Origins The origins of Little Busters began when Natsume Kyousuke wanted to help his younger sister, Natsume Rin, make friends. The first member to join was Inohara Masato. In his youth, Masato felt belittled and isolated by his classmates and eventually started picking fights to stop the snickering behind his back. It worked for a time. No one laughed at him anymore, but everyone stayed away from him. His community dubbed him a monster and he felt more alone than ever. Kyousuke learned of the boy and together with Rin had set out to defeat him. The tough fight was won by the Natsume siblings and ended with Kyousuke extending Masato a hand of friendship. The next to join was Miyazawa Kengo, a young kendo prodigy. It was never explained why Kyousuke wanted to defeat him. I speculate that he thought Kengo was spending his entire childhood practicing at his father’s behest and wanted to free him. Kyousuke challenged the elder Miyazawa, defeated him, and secured Kengo's freedom. The four members eventually discovered Naoe Riki, a boy who was hospitalized after a car accident took the lives of his parents and left him with narcolepsy. 'Childhood' Around this pre-adolescent age the heroines we know and love also go through some things of their own that develops into regrets. Kamikita Komari loses her older brother which causes her to develop regressive tendencies and psychogenic amnesia. Kurugaya Yuiko grows to become a prodigal student and shuts herself from the rest of the world. Saegusa Haruka and Futaki Kanata are pitted against each other to determine who the criminal child of Saegusa Shou was. Noumi Kudryavka was in Tebua struggling in her studies to become like her mother. Nishizono Mio develops the imaginary friend and persona of Midori. The history between here and the beginning of the Little Buster's visual novel is left to the imagination. Each heroine's route gives a rather sufficient glimpse into their past such that most of their history can be inferred. In the opening of the anime adaptation of Little Busters: Refrain each member of the main gang can be seen tending to Riki, who had succumbed to narcolepsy. High school & Adolescence Let's start where they are in high school in the real world. I postulate that the gang did not form a baseball team in the real world, and instead went about their typical antics much like they did in the VN's common route during the slice of life portions of their days. It is also likely, and supported by individual characters' accounts that the main Little Busters members and the girls that would later form the other half knew little of each other. This is backed up by Kyousuke's account during his route in Refrain where he states that he looked for others who held some sort of regret in their lives. In other words, it could have been anyone! However, our Key girls likely held regrets that resonated with Kyousuke, such that he found them useful for strengthening Rin and Riki. That would imply everyone became friends over the course of the events in the artificial world(s). There are several moments of significance worth noting before the trip happens. Haruka and Riki's first meeting at her beloved bench. She laters alludes in her route that this chance meeting made the bench that much more important to her. Kud loses her mother to the chaos happening back in Tebua after the failed launch, and declined to travel to her home country to find her. Koshiki Miyuki is forced to quit archery after losing sight in one eye and commits suicide. Time goes on and the class trip arrives. Kyousuke sneaks into the bus so that he could be with the rest of his friends on his last year. Now to the juice of it. Their happy little days would come to an abrupt stop, and a new beginning would come forth. On their way, the bus suffers an accident and goes crashing down the side of a mountain. Thus begins the Little Busters story as we know from the visual novel. Kyousuke's plan has been ruined. He had created such a great place for the shy Rin and his friends. All gone because of an unforeseeable, freak accident. So he wouldn't have it. It would not be the end of it. At best he wanted to save the lives of his precious sister and dear friend Riki who had known nothing but misery for a good part of his life. It was going to be tough, because the very two he wishes to save possess the weakest hearts. They would lose their will as soon as they learn of the tragedy, but even so, Kyousuke wants them to go on. So he devises a plan to make them stronger. How? By creating an artificial world wherein they can replay the last month leading up to their accident. He would usher Riki and Rin into a series of trials to resolve each of the heroines' and Keybros' woes. Doing so, the two would undergo a forced maturation and mentally strengthen themselves in preparation for the tragedy that will ensue. The perk of this world? They can reset it almost as many times as they needed (To an extent). BUT HOW???!!! The Clock has Stopped, The Artificial World Kyousuke selected the heroines and through their cooperation, with a little help from Key magic, created an artificial world with their collective consciousness. From here until Refrain is the bulk of the Little Busters visual novel. It isn't necessary for me to talk about every heroine's route as you are likely familiar with them already. Just keep in mind that RIki will go on to fail many times before he successfully resolves each of the girls' regrets. An interesting note that there is about a month or so between Riki's awakening into the common route/artificial world and the day after the baseball game where the date cuts off. That is not counting the time between the baseball match to the class trip, and the time Riki spends with the each heroine, including the number of times he's failed. Which means that they had likely spent years within the artificial world. I wouldn't be surprised if Little Busters is Christopher Nolan's inspiration for Inception. We will never know which heroine Riki was thrown into first or whose regret he solved first. However, it is my belief that it went a little like: Heroines+Rin1>Kurugaya>Rin2>Refrain. I don't think I need to order the "Heroines" route as doing so will only be redundant. I will explain why I believe Kurugaya likely occurred right before Rin2. Let's not discuss the semantics good and bad regarding the Little Busters: Refrain adaptation. That being said, I did like some of what they did with the anime. Specifically with Kurugaya because things make sense to the story. Kurugaya Yuiko First, we can infer from her actions and manner of speaking to indicate that she is aware of the artificial world more so than the other heroines. Whether Kyousuke allows her to retain her memories or she can exert her own control like him is unclear. Though the latter makes more sense. So, why do I believe Kurugaya's route occurs right before Rin2? Most people and walkthroughs will tell you to play her route last for the reason that it spoils the artificial world. But that's just a technical detail to suggest a pseudo-forced playing order. In regards to character-motivation and chronology of the world, this is what I believe: The order in which Riki resolves each girl's regret, Kurugaya Yuiko's route directly precedes the Heroines'+Rin1 routes because she could not have developed an interest in love as she did in her route without seeing the profound effects it had on the other heroines in their respective routes. She discovered love. What does this feeling compel her to do? She creates her own world to explore this foreign emotion as many times as she wants, for as long as she wants so long as her world holds. A world that Riki will experience many times over. A theory that I developed is that each person has a certain amount of energy in which they can shape their own world. This energy is expendable, and expends at a rate proportional to how much detail goes into their respective world. All of the Little Busters had been pooling in their energy to sustain many worlds/routes. Komari, Haruka, Kud, and Mio in particular expanded their world beyond the school and by the time Riki helped each them their energy had nearly depleted. What I believe happened was that when Kurugaya finally wanted to explore the feeling of "love" none of the heroines had enough energy to support her world but herself. She didn't want to go to the Keybros for help because her wish deviates from Kyousuke's plan. So she created her world It is why she calls it, "selfish," because: On a thematic note she would keep Riki from maturing. She was sustaining her own world for her own sake. The theory supports this because the extent of Kurugaya's world was within the school to mitigate energy loss, and most of it was spent in the broadcasting room. She then spent what energy she had left to repeatedly recreate the world, and to expend as little as possible rendered it less and less distinguishable from the previous until it became an exact repeat. It makes sense why, in the anime, right after her arc ends she is not seen disappearing with the other girls (Another thing the anime did well to portray). Rin2 In Rin2, we have the final mission. The secret of the world. Rin must survive on her own at their sister school, but all that becomes too much for her to bear. After everything that she had gone through the final task was insurmountable to her. Riki confronts Kyousuke at the dead of night who affirms that he was the mastermind behind the "Secret of the World" missions. However, he after their conversation was interrupted, he was only left with more questions. Eventually he convinced Kyousuke to allow Rin to visit. Riki, having seen the strain this mission has been on her, brought Kengo to his side and challenged Kyousuke to a game of baseball with the hopes of bringing her back permanently. Riki and Kengo lost due to CHEAP TRICKS. Riki ran away with Rin but is later caught and taken back to school. Little Busters!: Refrain Kyousuke will ask Masato and Kengo to help him create the artificial world again. Despite the foul play Kyousuke pulled on Kengo the latter agrees to help one last time, but with his own condition: should Riki fail this time, he will no longer give his assistance and instead spend what remains of their time in the world playing. The world resets once again and Riki enters Refrain. Everyone who has read or seen Refrain knows what happens here, and there should be no confusion as to the chronological order of the route. Riki goes on to recruiting Masato and then Kengo in a similar fashion to how Kyousuke did when they were younger. Together, the four will pull Kyousuke from despair just as he had done for Riki in the past. The original team plays baseball one last time, say their goodbyes, and the artificial ceases to exist. The Clock Ticks Again Or so they thought. What happens next has been a matter of debate for some time now. I have identified three possibilities. 1) Key Magic. This possibility is the least satisfactory because it is synonymous to an ass-pull. It is a trademark that Key likes to use in many of their works. Most recognizable is In a similar, but unseen fashion, Riki and Rin acquires their world's form Key Magic from solving everyone's regret. Thus curing Riki from his narcolepsy and giving them a second chance at saving their friends and classmates. 2) Limbo/ TV Lost-factor/ Escapism. This is one of the two most probable outcomes that I have long debated since finishing the visual novel. It also makes sense in a real world point of view. Unfortunately, this outcome would condemn Little Busters as one of the most tragic and heartbreaking stories humanity has ever told. In this possibility, the Little Busters and classmates are not saved. Riki and Rin's story ends when they escape and the former succumbs to narcolepsy. He wakes up in a hospital and finds Rin huddled up in the corner of the room. Unwilling to accept their condition, the two create a fantasy world within their consciousness to escape the horrible tragedy. An imaginary world where the Little Busters are alive and well, and they are still going about their youth. The heroine's routes can be seen as Riki going through the Kübler-Ross model, commonly known as the Five Stages of Grief, for Riki. The order goes as follows:Komari represents denial. Seeing the dead cat evoked the repressed memories of her brother having died. She refused to accept this truth and in order to cope, while under the temporary influence of a regressed state, started believing Riki to be her brother. Haruka represents anger. Recall that a good portion of her route involved trying to find the right person to direct her rage towards. At first it was Kanata, then Saegusa Shou, then her "parents," and at some point, herself. Mio represents bargaining. Her route revolved around exchanging her life for Midori's. She truly believed that letting Midori take her place would grant her redemption for having forsaken her. Kud represents depression. Bear with me. This one took some research.Aaron Beck developed what is known in the field of psychology as the "Beck Depression Inventory." It is a test to measure an individual's level of depression. There are three negative cognitions that he developed from another theory. It is as follows. The student has negative thoughts about the world The student has negative thoughts about his future The student has negative thoughts about his self [*]What does this have to do with Kud? Well, throughout the anime and visual novel she makes repeated remarks to demean herself. She is probably making fun of herself more than any bully ever did: she lacks confidence about her own image, concluded that she would fail the exam before it even began, and expected no one would ever want to be her roommate. There is more to list but the most damning is that she originally went back to Tebua to die. "Ни пу́ха, ни пера" "Ni puha, ni pera," "Neither fur, nor feather." [*]Kurugaya represents acceptance. This is a bit of a stretch, yeah? Her route makes her seem more like she was in denial. A different approach to seeing how her route went down is that she knew and accepted death, but before she dies she would use her remaining time to experience love. She lets go of her "selfish" wish in the end because she understood the inevitability of her situation, and her letting Riki go was the ultimate symbolism of accepting mortality. 3) Natsume Kyousuke. The second of the two most probable outcomes and the outcome I have come to accept. This possibility banks on the very man who was the origins of the Little Busters, and the one who orchestrated plan to save Riki and Rin. The man with the plan, the master schemer, the Darkness Executives, Mask the Saitou, CHEAP TRICKS. It is not so outrageous to believe Kyousuke had a backup plan. In this outcome, Kyousuke creates one final world to test Riki and Rin's resolve to save everyone. Beginning when the duo supposedly first exits the artificial and ending where Riki and Rin wakes up in front of the bus crash for the second time. Wait a minute. Doesn't Rin and Komari meet one final time in the artificial world? Precisely. Which is why Kyousuke's backup world theory makes sense, and why the anime did a very good job in writing a scene that does not exist visual novel. The scene being where the girls except Komari disappears. Even after the boys disappear and the world collapses, Komari should still be there somewhere, right? That's because Komari did not leave yet, and she didn't leave because she found her way into the last world Kyousuke had created for Riki and Rin. There, Komari was able to meet Rin one last time to give her the courage she needed. Riki (though still an inexplicable miracle) overcame his narcolepsy, and together with Rin were successful in saving everyone who was on the bus, including the Little Busters. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am sure there are countless other conclusions people have reached on their own, and this is just one of them. At first I only wanted to compile my thoughts and give it a rest. Then I ended up typing a small essay and thought sharing it would be nice, too. It is always important to keep an open mind, but never let someone give you all the answers without first taking the time to sort out your own. I hope my version of the Little Busters! conclusion gave you just an inkling of clarity to their story. I enjoyed writing this and I hope you did, too! I am always open to discussing stories so feel free to drop a message or comment!

  4. Well, I guess there are a few possibilities. In descending order of likelihood: 1) Memories are inherently unreliable and inexact, so when you see something in the real world and it seems familiar to you or you "remember" it happening before in a dream, that wasn't necessarily the case. Your brain is just filing the memory in a way that makes you think it was always there, even though it's new. 2) It's deja vu. This is basically saying the above, but using a term everyone's familiar with. 3) You're seeing the future in your dreams. From the way you describe it, it may not be provable, since you say you think nothing of what happens in your dream until you see it again in real life. That makes the "memories" retroactive rather than predictive and not useful even if they represent a real ability. If you manage to have a dream about some future event, predict when it will happen, and profit from it in some meaningful way, then you could be a character in your own VN with that ability. That would be cool. Statistically unlikely, given how many people have failed the James Randi challenge for example, but it's hard to ever say that something is truly impossible.

  5. Saku Saku: Love Blooms with the Cherry Blossoms Fully Translated Summary Spring is the flowering season, the season of the cherry blossoms. It is the time for first meetings and partings, when the buds start sprouting. Yuma is a second-year student at Mihaya Academy who listens to love problems from girls at the school and gives them thoughtful advice. This has made him quite popular and loved, resulting in a 21,000 yen (taxes included) ‘love bounty’ placed on him. The girls came to him with problems ranging from jealousy to infidelity. Having heard about so many troubles related to love, Yuma lost any desire he had for it. One day, a mysterious girl appeared before him. She had never been in love, but she believed that it was a wonderful thing. She asked him if he would like to be in love, and that as a love fairy, she will help his love come true. A girl who cannot fall in love. A boy who has no interest in love. If they end up falling in love with each other, how will the world change? Ending Guideline / Suggested Route Order There are 5 routes. Mio (childhood friend), Konami (blood-related sister), Yuri (Easily embarrassed Disciplinary committee chairman), Ann (Student Council Prez/Senpai) and Tina (Shinigami). Tina's route only unlocks after Ann's route. Walkthrough You probably won't even need this Walkthrough, since the choices are so straightforward. Nevertheless, here you have it. If you find you are missing certain choices, they may be choices tied to the adult content. If your version of the game does not include these, do not worry. Should you be missing any CGs, consider selecting both choices during the adult sections. Konami Route Mio Route Ann Route Yuri Route Tina Route How Flags Work and Other Useless Notes Attribution This walkthrough is based on info attained by playing the game over 20 times, trying pretty much all relevant combinations of choices. Summary stolen from Hau Omochikaeri (according to VNDB) Thanks to CalneCA for telling me how Tina's route works! [Current Tasks: -Make sure the choices remain accurate after official release. -Make sure there are no further choices during the H-Scenes]

  10. the games haven gotten All-Ages versions in Japan, they will probably use just that, which added more voiced lines for Takeru, extra CGs,extra endings and more facial animations for the characters. Hell, the 18+ version of Alternative didn't even have CG gallery nor Chapter Select. They added those for the All-Ages version.

    Tiny Dungeon Bless of Dragon

Bless of Dragon is the second VN in the Tiny Dungeon series (see http://forums.fuwanovel.net/blog/46/entry-727-tiny-dungeon-black-and-white/ for my comments on Black and White). The picture above is of Fon, who is one of this VN's two side-heroines (Opera the maid is the other). She is a half-dragon, half-demon girl with her own major issues that come out into the open in this VN, which is focused on Ururu Kajuta, the loli-dragon princess. Ururu is technically what would be called a 'loli-babaa', because she is in the latter of her second century of life. It says a lot about her that her base personality that she is still childish enough that she willingly calls the protagonist 'nii-sama', for you moe-freaks out there. Hime, as always, grows a lot during the course of this VN, exceeding the expectations of those around him at every turn, though he isn't some kind of 'I am powerful!' type, but rather the type that improves through solid hard work and constant consideration and learning. The serious (deadly) action scenes in this VN are a bit more plentiful than those in Black and White... but in exchange, the emotions surrounding them tend to be more intense (though the last confrontation in Black and White outmatches all of those in the other two 'heroine' games). In addition, the usual comedy is offset by the sheer tragedy of certain events... This is a characteristic you will probably be familiar with already, if you played Black and White before this one, like you were supposed to. Ururu also shows herself to be an individual worthy of the insanely (a cross between half-religious zealotry and obsessive idol-worshipping fandom) loyal dragon race that is under her rule, which will probably surprise the heck out of those who are used to thinking of her as lolicon bait. This shows off perhaps one of the things I like most about this series... the characters do confront their individual problems, at some point in the series, and that grants a definite sense of substance to the whole thing. For those who follow my Random VN part of the blog, I will be going through the other two VNs in the main series as well as a second playthrough of Endless Dungeon in the near future, so look forward to it.

  22. The second EVT arg could be used to determine what set of commentary to use... and the commentary is kept in the exe file. Their strings come after the kana/romaji table that I mentioned. Right now, I don't know how or when the game decides to show the comments. If you can't find a pattern, just make one up? Aren't the words chosen randomly? And the number of words that get presented is related to that bar which depletes as you finish each word. Localizing the words sounds helpful in my opinion.

Well, the error is just "error initializing application", so that doesn't help us much. A few things to think about: Did you running it as both admin and non-admin? Unlikely to help but worth a try. Have you moved the folder after running the bat file? For an easier diagnosis of potential registry issues, it would be nice to know how your HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/asgard/io_r2 keys looked in regedit. If it's not a registry issue, I'm not sure what would cause it honestly. Any weirdness with dual graphic cards (integrated vs separate, as in some laptops) around?

  27. Hey there everyone! The man behind it all is Adi Shankar, who was the executive producer of Dredd, Machine Gun Preacher, The Grey, and Broken City. He is bringing along his friends over at frederator, the team behind Fairly Odd Parents and Adventure Time, and will be influenced by titles such as Akira, Ghost In The Shell, and Ninja Scroll. Adi's facebook page: "I’m producing a super violent Castlevania mini-series with my homies Fred Seibert and Kevin Klonde. It’s going to be dark, satirical, and after a decade of propaganda it will flip the vampire sub-genre on its head." Adi mentioned: “There will be a lots of gore. The goal is to bring hard hitting anime to the America and be America’s first animated series for adults." Adi also says this about the music: "The first thing I thought about was music and how we needed to avoid the traditional sword-and-sandal orchestra cliche and use the heavy metal electro guitar vibe found in the early games." I am fanboying so hard right now, not only because it's one of my favourite videogame franchises, but also because it going to be 'Super violent and Gory'. Sorry if this news already has a topic, i was just so excited that i made a new one. Confession: I did really enjoy the fsg drama a little bit and I was smirking a lot when it happened. It just felt so weird since it might be only me but the reason this happened was not because of subahibi talk, it was because of another more obvious reason which is new members in general. That's why even after subahibi thing ended , some people still kept on leaving. It's just what happens in every chat, old people find only new people talking, feel too uncomfortable/weirded out to join the talk especially since they are not used to the new memberd and end up telling themselves that the group isn't like before and leave. TL;DR: new members replace old members sometimes. Also yeah the group is pretty much dead these days , I can blame this on many things but I am too lazy and sleepy to do so. Confession 2: I miss HMN. :'( I still remember the day we parted, I teared up. Please be fine, HMN. I hope you come back soon.

  32. Tou no Shita no Exercitus, as I mentioned in the previous post, pretty much eliminates most of the problems that Verethragna had in terms of the card combat system, in exchange for a loss of any real challenge, outside of the last boss and a few others along the way. That impression didn't change throughout my experience of the last few chapters of the game, so at this point, I won't bother rehashing that explanation. More importantly, I thought I should mention that this VN doesn't commit the greatest sin of a gameplay hybrid by using the gameplay in place of narration (rather than to supplement it). Its combat scenes have decent (if not overwhelmingly good) narration, and there is a general sense that this was someone's work of love, as well as business, which is relatively rare in VNs these days. The plot, while not anything new (the setting channels Wild Arms and Mana Khemia, which had me cracking up a bit) is nonetheless solidly written, and the characters, while sometimes a bit overly comical in nature, were generally well-described and developed by the end, with a few exceptions (Ruana's team, the tower keepers), though this was alleviated by the large number of side-events you could access during the last chapter to get to know them. The existence of money is actually pretty pointless, since you can get by just by using the cards you pick up along the way (though third level single-enemy magic attack cards can only be purchased in the store, as far as I could tell). On the other hand, this means that you are free from the need to budget, instead allowing you to focus on dungeon-crawling to get your levels even with the enemies and obtain cards you might find of use. Overall, this VN was surprisingly good, leaving me with a general good feeling, though it wasn't exceptionally awesome. This VN would probably suit the tastes of people who like the Koihime Musou series (if you excise the first game, which was localized) and other 'light' gameplay hybrids, where the gameplay is designed to be easy to navigate. It isn't anywhere near kamige level, but it is nonetheless VN of the Month, August 2015.

  33. If Little Busters is a 4/10, all the scores on my VNDB lose 5 points, meaning the highest score I've given is a 5 and I'm heartless to the point of giving 1's. Jesus Christ, I don't know anything about writing or plots or story, but if Little Busters! is bad what the hell is all the crap I've been playing and reading? Should I just conclude I've got no taste whatsoever and continue on my merry life? I'll leave all this judging and analyzing to those who care. I'm in for the enjoyment, not for good pieces of literature.

  34. Erm, I managed to use Google to recover a cached version of this if you're interested. http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:TjWMRdlywiQJ:forums.fuwanovel.net/topic/11268-how-to-code-a-vn-with-renpy-part-4-comprehensive-guide/%3Fview%3Dgetnewpost+&cd=1&hl=nl&ct=clnk&gl=be If that doesn't work: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/14922850/Renpy%204.rarsaved HTML and images.

  36. I couldn't care less about the sex scenes, as long as they keep the ehm ... you know what... I know that in the original "all ages" (lol) PC release they somewhat tamed the goriest parts, the ideal would the new "windows 7" edition with only the sex scenes removed (keeping anything else intact)

  37. I've briefly played with Windows 10 and tried these installation methods: upgrading from Windows 8, as well as a clean install. In both cases, the Japanese fonts like MS Gothic are not installed by default in Windows 10 (despite them being included in previous versions of Windows) which means they'll need to be installed from the control panel. To do that.... 1. bring up the Start Menu -> Settings 2. click System 3. pick Apps & Features (on the left) 4. choose Manage optional features 5. choose Add a feature 6. find Japanese Supplemental Fonts and install it * This font issue is also applicable to a number of other VNs/games that depend on the supplemental fonts.

  38. I keep getting questions like, 'Who are you?' and 'Why should I listen to you at all about VNs?'... not to mention questions that are a bit more personal. So, I thought I'd answer those questions I'm willing to answer (feel free to ask more in the comments, and I'll answer those that I can in a second post). Full Handle Name: Clephas Aurenius Handle Origin: A unique character I made up for a fictional fantasy universe some ten years ago. I've been using it as my sole handle for eight years now. Age: 33 Country and State of origin: Texas in the United States Hobbies: Gaming, VNs, reading (fiction and non-fiction), otakuism, mini-reviewing untranslated VNs, anthropology, linguistics, brewing rum and root beer, cooking, and attempting to define VN terms that are actually a lot more vague than I try to present them for the sake of convenience *smiles slyly* Profession: ghost writer (don't ask me about this, look it up) Dream: To build an underground house in a seismically inactive (inasmuch as that is possible) area and retire. Take a six-month trip to Japan and tour the hot springs, shrines, and temples. Likes: Efficient and/or cunning work. People with a non-harmful sense of humor. Pragmatism. Chuuni-fiction, fantasy, science fiction. Good stories. Dislikes: Wasting time (from my perspective). Being mentally inactive (this is actually painful for me). Foods with jalapeno or parsley in it. Sloppy work done when a more efficient method obviously exists. Political corruption (outside of reasonable limits). Personality: I have a rather massive temper, that I manage to restrict through breathing exercises and violent video games. I value thinking as something that is both necessary and enjoyable. I am excessively introspective, to the degree of actively mocking myself and being self-derisive when I think I might have been in the wrong on some level. I am a natural troll who reformed himself as best as possible. I tend to think that everything is funny on some level, even my own stupidity and outright disaster. I am a recovering megalomaniac. My role-play: The 'forums' Clephas is actually quite different from the original Clephas, in that he is a lot more comical and exaggerated. He is the megalomaniacal and overwhelmingly arrogant side of my personality, deliberately exaggerated to the very limits, to the point where it is actually funny. He is something of an insane deity who devours universes and envelops them in his infinite stomachs, using avatars to interact with those inside. He honestly thinks eating people (both whole and chewed) is an expression of love. He also does various seemingly (and most probably) meaningless things solely for the sake of his own amusement. What Fuwanovel means to me: In a lot of ways, Fuwanovel is my last community. I've just seen too many otaku communities collapse under their own weight to willingly involve myself with several at once, anymore. In many ways, I joined Fuwa solely because I thought it would be fun to argue with Aaeru (and it was immensely fun). I respected her for the strength of her beliefs, even if I disagreed with her on a number of points (pragmatists rarely agree fully with any idealist). Fuwa now is the community I've come to love, with the people I've come to love (Marie, Tay, solidbatman, Nayleen, fun2novel, Flutterz, Zakamutt, Mephisto, etc. etc), and so I'm more or less in it for the long haul. I chose this community because it was a lot easier to talk about VNs here than in the more Jaded tlwiki-related communites. What are VNs to me: I like VNs, both as an enjoyable storytelling medium and as one with an immense potential for growth (if someone can just kick the industry out of its nukige/moege and cookie-cutter chuunige rut). They are emotional and intellectual rides (better on the emotions in most cases), that frequently have an impact far out of proportion with their actual quality. My VN Experience: Tsukihime was my first VN... and it stunned me when I first played it back in 2007. I immediately devoured every single translated VN, in a marathon that lasted about two months... then dove into my first untranslated - Jingai Makyou - on 9/14/2008. As I'd been fansubbing for over a year by then, I'd thought I had a full grasp on Japanese as a language... but it was a rather rude kick in the butt. Translation Aggregator with Jparser presented me with a challenge that allowed me to get around the lack of kanji knowledge on my part... in exchange for mastering how Japanese syllables were put together in reverse (normally a skill learned through kanji, rather than learning it first, then learning kanji). A few last comments: No, I do not have and will never have a Facebook or Twitter account. If you really want to chat with me live, pm me and ask me to get on IRC (rizon). Do not ask me to help translate more than one scene of a moege, as doing more than that (even for a friend) would make me want to scream. I do not have a lot of free time, other than that which I use to play VNs, so no I don't go to otaku conventions. I can cook a traditional Japanese breakfast... but sadly, the only parts I really like are the natto, the miso soup, and the pickled vegetables (cooked fish that tastes like cooked fish makes me feel sick). I have a fourteen-year-old calico cat, whom I adore and who tolerates me as a favor to me as her devoted slave.
