I ended up making an account to be able to answer here after all. I'm the guy who answered the questions earlier, I'm part of the moderator team on VNDB. Sekai Project has monetary issues, because according to their own comments on VNDB, they spend a good chunk of their income to financially help Japanese VN companies stay in business with donations and such.

I was watching an election where: 1) Trump promised to contest the results if he lost no matter how he lost. And was also preemptively proclaiming voter fraud in the absence of any possible evidence of it. Which, as this night likely shows, no such fraud was taking place regardless. 2) Hillary Clinton didn't give a concession speech. Excuse me if I look at these two events and consider one side a poorer loser than the other. The poorer loser ended up winning, which means his worst side ended up not being exposed, but that doesn't mean it wasn't there. The original post I was responding to was proclaiming democrats poor losers and republicans graceful in comparison, when the republican candidate was promising to drag our country through the mud if he didn't get his way. Now, I respect your right to prefer trump and to voice your preference. But the election is over, dude. The democrats lost. You don't have to spin every single event in Trump's favor anymore. The battle is over and you can cease fire. The least I would expect is for you to be able to look at the facts as they are. But I suppose your post proves that above all else, Trump's supporters are poor winners as well. Continue sticking it to those filthy SJWs, man.

I found it in a thread title on a forum recently.

Today in my Ideal Societies in Fiction class, the Teach kinda shambled in, looked at the class, and asked if we needed to talk about the election. The entire class responded with I think we are still in the denial stage of the grieving for the death of our country.

It wasn't so much Clinton as it was Democratic Party. And make no mistake, there's plenty of shit that can be said the same of the GOP. The difference being the GOP ran their outlier candidate that managed to win the nomination (against probably most people's better judgement). There's something to be said about anti-establishment. Maybe not. At least I hope not. I really wasn't big on Obama in 2008 and he turned out okay. Look, Trump can't just do whatever he wants - it's not how the Presidency works. The bigger concern is the technicality of both the Executive and Legislative Branches are in control of the same party. If in two years this country isn't "better" (however it's defined) a lot of GOPers in the House might be looking for work.

Even with the debacle of 2000, there are other factors one can consider as to why Gore didn't win. For example, he didn't even carry his home state of Tennessee, they went for Bush. Even in the most one-sided ass kicking in the electoral college of all time, that being 1984, Walter Mondale still managed to carry his home state of Minnesota. It was the only state he carried (along with the District of Columbia) but he did carry it. Had Gore carried Tennessee then Florida wouldn't have mattered. I'm not sure what to make of Hillary's actions (or non-actions) after the election. I'm sure her pride is severely hurt, as she believes she's the better candidate (and honestly, she was the better candidate in many different ways). It does seem a bit cold to not address your constituents, but she did quietly concede when she saw the writing on the wall. I'm not so sure Trump would have done the same had the roles been reversed. The part that may be bothersome is that, at least in name, the GOP controls the Presidency and Congress for at least two years. I'm really not a huge fan of one party being in control and would prefer a mix of the two compromising together, which is one of the reasons why the GOP was so damned deplorable the past 6 years. Now what remains to be seen is will the GOP actually have the balls to stand up to Trump's wishes, or will they fall in line, and at what degree for both?

It's hard to recommend Natsu no Kusari in this case, as it's not explictly a sadistic vn, neither does it contain gore. Still, I'd also highly recommend it to those, who like to dwelve into darker corners of human psyche, as it draws a preety accurate psychological portrait of a cold-bloded kidnapper and relationship with his victim. In that sense, it's gritty enough to be taken into consideration. One thing to note, though - don't expect a nukige. It's the worst kind of mistake you might make approaching this title. This game's sex content wasn't made to be enjoyable, it's there to push the story forward.

This and this is the only reason he won in my opinion. You are saying you want equality and free speech in media but the next second you are ridiculing every Trump supporter and throwing dirt right and left. It is so freaking sad to see celebs, TV stations and I don't know what doing anything to give Hillary support and bash Trump. The same happened in Sweden 2 years ago when we had our election. Media, celebs and everyone with just a small dose of influence was bashing one of the parties because their roots were racist and extreme. The solution isn't bashing and hating on someone. The solution is to bring the conversation public and pierce the political party and their key political issues. Bring it to the light and discuss it. You can't sweep something like immigration/housing/medical care/education under the carpet for example. You have to tackle it with your own solutions and pierce the bubble to break the other side. The Swedish democrats got almost 13% and destroyed the political stability we got for a long time. And it gets worse for every year. But no let's have a kindergarten level on the politics. That's doing great.

Whether you like him or not, Trump is a clear testament that the entire mainstream media and the government trying to hammer down a candidate isn't the solution. (unless the plan was to elect him all along through reverse psychology i guess) He is a meme and he was damn good at memeing his way to the White House. Interesting topic here, so let me elaborate here. I'd happen to knew a few name if I may said myself other than those who already mentioned above. And by the way, did you happen to like either of Nabatame Hitomi or Asakawa Yuu voices? The reason I asked that because those two was happened to had some role in eroge. And if I recall Nabatame was had role in translated Yuzusoft VNs (Noble Works and Dracu Riot, both of those were eroge by the way), also she had a role in ToHeart 2 as well. Oh, Asakawa was voiced Momoyo back in Majikoi. I think those two was quite famous in anime ie had quite a number of role. For more seiyuu, I could said that there's Ryouko Ono who had quite a number of role in eroge (She was Mirajene at Fairy Tail), Mizuhashi Kaori who play Tomoe Mami in Madoka, and Nakamura Eriko who played one of Idolmaster heroine. I don't know if I could call them top tier name or not, but at least I think they quite famous with had several roles there especially Nabatame whose also known among Precure Live Journal (Well, she was voicing a Cure there). Knowing that your mistakes could cost your characters their lives makes you think hard about what to do next. I remember reading a discussion on that from MG. Now, don't quote me on this, since it was a while ago, but as far as I can remember MG is keenly aware of Erogegames existence. However, EG is operating form Ukraine, so outside of EU and USA jurisdictions. SO to get them, MG, would have to enter a legal battle in Ukraine, where the digital copyright laws are more... relaxed. So it would be a costly court case on foreign soil with no guarantee for a positive outcome for them. MG siimply doesn't have the money to throw around for that. Also, it could create a bad precedent, should they lose. And they can't do much about the download service either, since as far as I remember downloadani.me is run by the same guy who runs EG and is also operated from outside of the EU and USA jurisdictions. So they let EG get away with their referral, because that way at least some people might use them to buy the games after / instead of downloading it, somewhat mitigating their losses. Again, it's been a while since I looked up all this, so I might remember some details poorly, so don't quote me on this.

I think S;G is great from start to finish, even when the SOL is still predominant, something interesting is costantly happening, it's almost never boring.

It's a dreary, rainy day, and my usual Destiny-playing buddy won't be online for a couple weeks, and I found myself looking at a couple different games: Earlier, I played some more Tales of Edn— I mean, Tales of Zestiria. I've decided I really enjoy it. The plot is a little on the thin side, but the characters are lovable and masterfully written (and the translation is godly, I seriously can't get over it), and the gameplay is entertaining. That's more than most games deliver. I was looking at my Steam library and found that I own Recettear, but still have never played it. I'm going to try to remedy that today.
