  1. Nutaku has been caught censoring dialogues implying non-consensual sex in free-to-play ero-RPG Kamihime Project R, reneging on earlier promises. Rape scenes censored in Nutaku's Kamihime Project R

  2. I finished the demo for The Shadows of Pygmalion. Even though it's an incredibly flawed VN, I must say, I enjoyed it quite a lot. I listed some positives and negatives below. + I like how the the plot is handled. There aren't too many fight scenes, which is a positive for me. Those which are present are unpredictable enough, and aren't boring. The mystery of what is happening behind the scenes is pretty intriguing. + If I understood it correctly, the main theme of the plot is the nature of human consciousness, which is a pretty interesting theme if you ask me. + It's just engaging and interesting to read. - Base personalities of the characters are as uninteresting as they could be. Character motivation also makes me raise a brow sometimes. Though I'm unsure at the moment, maybe I need to reread some parts to better understand them. - The directing is pretty bad at times. I think, the sprite and picture movements are nice, but they were used better in Tokyo Babel, which seems to have used the same engine. The music sometimes changes very often, which can be annoying. - This VN likes to repeat things said earlier. It might be annoying for some people. - I can't help but feel that yuri is the fifth wheel of the title, and is only used to add fanservice. +/- The art is a bit strange. I passionately disliked it at first, but got used to it, and now I think that it more or less fits the VN. +/- The plot is getting pretty dark, but the atmosphere isn't, at least at this point. That said, I'm definitely buying the full game. Even if you disliked Tokyo Babel, I recommend you trying out this VN, as they are completely different from each other. I'm personally enjoying Pygmalion more, though my final mark will most likely be lower. 7/10 so far.

  4. Looking good, but at first glance it seems like a cross between Monster Musume and Hunie Pop.

    Why is Kud so adored?

For the last two days, I thought that was actually a cg of her eating ice cream. And with that in mind I was like "rather than cute, this is more like wincing cause she's trying so hard to eat ice cream". fffffffffff I've made a terrible mistake. My guess is that, while people's states are divided for the other girls, everybody like the cute loli at the end. So Kud represents the feeling of moe and bliss that everyone agrees on.

  7. About spatial magic there, you unlock it by raising advance warp to level 10. As for magic, maybe better just leave it to your monsters and focused on one element to Darx (The power was the same, only varying depend on the weakness). Besides, Darx's was far better in physical attack iirc although perhaps you could built it for AoE imo (I did tried to built Darx to master all elements, and it's output were quite weak compared to physical iirc). tldr - Just built your Ice skill (Because spell power is same) and focusing on physical skill if we talk about Darx. PS - @Deniz Forget to said this, but I think the most important spell for Darx would be healing (At the beginning). So yeah, my new advice here would be focusing on healing and physical skill the most, and do element spell later.

  8. Playing Kamisama no Game. I checked out this title after seeing Dergonu mention it on twitter (thanks!). The game's a psychological VN. It takes delight in setting up for the trainwreck to come. It isn't a utsuge, though, and by that I mean "no hope, no redemption". I guess that's typical of the genre, as you need ups and downs to make a gripping survival game. If it was all utsu, it'd be more of a tragic, atmospheric work. The sexual content isn't that extreme (yet), but the hint of plausibility kind of reminds you how depraved the situation is. The game offers a plausible view of the characters and their mental states. I don't really agree 100% with all psychological logic portrayed, but that's inevitable. I can say it's not totally bullshit. It's quite interesting. One complaint I have is that the game is a little too wordy with its scenes. I skipped through some bits. I'm also not really invested in the characters, but I can connect to them because some of the points raised about/by them are interesting. Overall, pretty impressed. Managed to keep my interest even though this kind of story isn't so much my cup of tea anymore (because of how not pleasant it is to watch such a fucked up situation unfold). It's like a trainwreck you know is coming but you can't not see how it happens. What have I got myself into.

  10. Heh, if the OP is only playing visual novels he should get an IPS monitor. Gamers don't like them because of response rate, but with VNs it doesn't matter. Usually hella expensive though xD

  12. Laye to the party here, but perhaps you could try I/O there. Or maybe you could try Pygmalion there (Had some elements which remind me of ie almost aimilar with Madoka). Oh, Higurashi and Umineko as well there (You could use graphic patch if you dislike old graphic from both of those VNs). Hope it'll be help, and have fun.

  14. 999 and VLR will be released shortly on Steam in a single package called "The Nonary games". I'm always surprised that Uchikoshi doesn't get here on Fuwa the credit he deserves, only a handful of people have played his games. Still, not your typical novels. I feel the closest to Zero Escape (slightly to Evangelion) is the manga 20th Century Boys. Sans time travel (or did it have it?), but with psychic powers. Evangelion is a one of a kind work. It has a very unique feel, because it's a very unique mix of things, all done with quality and seriousness. Sadly when I played Girlfriend of Steel, it focused on the goofy aspects of the show (Shinji finally gets a girlfriend, etc...). Also a dark novel is Euphoria, but if has lots of torture and shocking H scenes. The modern-day Evangelion could very well be Puella Magi Madoka Magica (you probably have checked that). It starts slower than Evangelion but the twists hit hard. It's epicness. Uchikoshi, Urasawa and Urobuchi (the U-team) are all very good creators.

    Shugaten: Almost forgot

Clochette's games are mostly pretty high quality... Amatsu Misora Ni was the only one I didn't enjoy thoroughly. So, yes I'll be playing it.

  17. The manga is fantastic. 9/10 My usual issues with romance and Shoujo tend to lie in characters that are dumb as bricks and melodrama. Neither issue is present in this manga, by my standards. When there is drama, I found that it originated from a reasonable situation and that it was resolved in a logical manner. Many common tropes are... subverted to an extent. Their execution is such that the presence of the trope did not bother me. Now. By all appearances, the anime adapted half, or less, of the manga. Furthermore, the anime seems to contain plenty of original material, with at least three extra characters designed by the mangaka. What this means is that the manga's wonderfulness cannot directly translate to the anime, as a lot of the good was in the interactions all characters shared, something original material cannot copy. I'd give it a chance anyway. Can't be much worse than meh. I'm not entirely averse to watching it myself. Reportedly, it also contains an ending of its own, although I cannot possibly guess what it'd be. The manga's was great.
