Visual Novel Translation Status (10/09/2023) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and since we have both H2O and Anonymous Code release I decided to change 'Sand' from H2O full title (H2O -Footprints in the Sand-) into 'Code', so we have 'Footprints in the Code' as the title. As for this week, I can say that it's an interesting one, especially with the fan translation has several releases. Other than that, we also have Anonymous Code in that it's the newest entry of Science Adventure series. Other than those two releases, we also have several release announcements. Anyway, let's see what I can write in regard of this week. Craftwork delayed their Geminism release to November 24th with their reason is they want to make the work in perfect condition or something like that. Sekai announced they'll release something on 22nd later, although it's just their little sister succubus nukige. Well, at least their backlog is decreased again. Shiravune announced that they got the license for Criminal Border after posting the very obvious hint with the picture of Meryl (One of Criminal Border heroine). For the info Criminal Border is the serial VN from Purple Software with the core staffs are the one who work on Nine, although unfortunately Tsubasu is not working with them but instead they work with the new artist (Not the usual Purple Software artist), so I can only say that I need to get used to the art in that I keep thinking so ever since Purple Software reveal it. Oh yes they already have the exact release date for the 1st part, and it'll be on November 14th later. We have a surprise release of the translation patch for the VN Gensou Rougoku no Kaleidoscope in which it's Ryukishi07 VN with the Itaru Hinoue as the artist (Her art is not as bad as Koropokkur), and this time Ryukishi try to write four girls got trapped in a death game. The game master give two choice to the girls, in which they'll either see everyone or one of them dead. The other thing that I know is that it's quite underrated and it's only for console (PSV and Switch), so feel free to try the VN if you have the console and want to read more Ryukishi's work. For the updates, we have Tsuma Netori is at halfway edited, Haruka no Sora Kozue's route is at halfway translated along with the overall VN is past three quarter (77%) translated and TLC-ed, 1629 out of 2499 script files for Fate/Extra CCC are edited, and Akagoei 3 is at 52.04% translated. As for Majikoi A-5, it's the last part of Majikoi A and with this now Majikoi A is fully translated so good for Majikoi fans. I did mention that we would have H2O release in this month, although I didn't know if the translator would release it in last Friday. H2O is the VN from way back in 2006 with the anime adaptation available, and for the premise we have Takuma who is blind ever since his mother death move the rural village in order to allow himself to move onfrom his mother's death. In the village, he met the rude Hayame, the kind Hinata, and the mysterious Otoha, and Takuma somehow has his blindness gradually recovered the more he interact with the three heroines. Oh yes, the patch also translate the fandisc (Root after and another) with said fandisc add some more contents, such as the route for some side characters with one of said character is a trap (Interestingly enough the MC for the trap route is female, which to say is quite unique), and most prominently the some sort trial of Sakura no Uta that SCA-JI would have a lot of problem finishing it until 2015. Anyway get H2O if you want to play old VN from Makura which should be good as long you didn't expect another Subahibi or Sakura no Uta, and have fun. Lastly we have Anonymous Code released, and said work is the sixth game of Science Adventure series in which it had go through rewriting six times. It should also be mentioned that other than console it also available for PC, so at least you can play it if you have PC but didn't have the console. Oh yes it also has English dub, and from what I hear it's definitely far better than Taisho Alice dub lol (Although to be fair Somnium duology English dub are quite good). For the premise we have the world in 2037 still reeling after the disaster called Sad Morning in 2036, and one of the people who live in such world is Pollon who is well known hacker and has imaginary fiancee with the name Aizaki Momo. One day after his prank goes wrong, he find a girl with animal costume who has the same name as his imaginary fiancee was in problem. Seeing that Pollon is like to help someone, he decided to help Momo even though it may risk his life, if not for the gadget that allow him to do Save and Load (So yeah there'll be some Fourth Wall Break here) that he somehow gained. Go get Anonymous Code if you want the newest Science Adventure, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

Anime of the Year 2013-I Winter - Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Next
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Maoyuu - Well it's like Spice and Wolf especially with the hero and the demon queen has same VAs as Lawrence and Holo respectively (Also with the talk of economy at the start of the story). That aside, the work here did challenge on hero's perspective when it come to save humanity, which the smart the demon queen would shown the hero it won't be simply to just beat the demon queen because turned out the economy for both sides are revolving around war. Oh yes, this series is quite unique in that the author didn't bother to give the name to the casts, but instead just called them as the class that they have. Love Live - The humble beginning of the big Love Live franchise, and this is created after they made several animated music video (MV). It should be noted that this is the third attempt of Bandai making the idol franchise after Idolmaster and Aikatsu, although it has difference in which it didn't have male manager or weekly concert, but instead it's just nine girls who banded together to save their school. It has 3D CGI for the dance, but at least it's better than Aikatsu early CGI. Oh yes since there's none of male, naturally GL fans have a lot of fun enjoying this and quite often ship some of the members. Kira-kira 5th Anniversary - This isn't really anime series with coherent story, but rather several songs from Overdrive VNs sang in the concert. So yes it's more or less 25 minutes MV that you can watch it in this link (No English sub though, but instead it has Chinese sub). DDPC - This time Toei decided to make every episode has some plot advancement along with making some change, although unfortunately the change manage to sour most of the audience. The reason is because Toei decided to make the new mid-season Precure from someone out of nowhere instead of someone that has been foreshadowed enough, and it's really telling that each Precure after this almost always will use the character that has been around since the beginning as the mid-season Precure (Even if it's not, there's always leak with Toei didn't dare to stray from it). That said, this is interesting Precure series if you didn't mind the controversy, and by the way I should mention that Nabatame voiced the pink Precure (Cure Heart) here. Da Capo 3 - The anime only adapt the Prologue instead of the main story which obviously won't even scratch the main story of the VN itself. Also the Prologue here is not really the real prologue of the VN (The real prologue was hidden as one of the side story), but instead just show the reincarnation of the casts in the main story. That said, the anime did manage to bring small Sakura into Prologue story even though she supposed to show up in the main story (As in she didn't appear in the Prologue). That's all for what I can write in regard of Winter 2013 anime here. -
Anime of the Year 2012-IV Fall - Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Love Chuunibyou and Other Delusions - A story about a male (Yuuta) meet female (Rikka) who happen to be chuunibyou (Therefore have high imagination), which obviously would going to getting closer. Another thing to note is that Rikka's imagination is involving battle, which allow Kyoani to show their animation skill in battle scenes even though technically the scenes is not happening for real. Madoka Recap - The reason it exist is to allow the watcher to watch the series again, although the main reason is obviously because Shaft and it's director realized that Madoka have potential to gather the money, therefore they decided to milk by making the recap movie before moving on to the other things. Code Breaker - Initially it has female MC, although the author obviously wrote it from the time when Shonen manga MC is mostly male so the decoy female MC soon overshadowed by the true male MC. Anyway, no much to say other than the anime has fighting and all per usual 2000's Shonen series. Aikatsu - I like the first opening song Signalize, although as for the 3D dance let's just say that it's quite rough so much that my sister who watched it in around 2013 New Year can even see it (She just casually watch the anime for the info). For the anime itself, it's pretty much like Precure except the staff change 'fighting of the week' concept into 'performance of the week' concert. Admittedly Pretty Rhythm also does that, but at least it has some drama in the mix. Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal 2 - The continuation of Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal, and yes I forgot to mention that Yuma also has XYZ Extra Deck monster as his ace (Number 39 Utopia), although it's not as good as Stardust Dragon when it come to card for the tournament. Shin Sekai no Yori - I did wonder why there's GL tag even though I already know the anime is quite dark, and only by reading the manga I see why there's a GL tag along with the author tried to justify the scenes (Not really necessary though). That said, the main focus is on how the casts will try to survive in their messed up world where ESP is treated as symbol of power. Little Busters - At first the fans has doubt whether JC Staff can do good job to animate it seeing that Kyoani did the good job to adapted all three previous KEY VNs (Also on how JC Staff did their best to make the infamous Tsukihime anime), and turned out they did the job quite well. For the first part, it adapt four out of six routes with JC Staffs save both of Yuiko and Rin routes (The latter for a very obvious reason) for the next part. Robotic Notes - It's pretty clear that MAGES hope that they can repeat Steins Gate success in anime adaptation, For the anime itself, at least the anime is quite faithful to the VN. Jojo - Obviously people watching this not because of the groundbreaking story (It's manga is from 1986 and the story is quite cliche by today or 2012 standard), but instead it's for the meme which to say quite handful. The anime here adapt the first two parts, because each manga is quite short with the first part only has 45 chapters which the staffs adapted into first 9 episodes. That said, it's quite important because it's established the hero villain relationship that will keep ongoing until the sixth chapter. Also with all of the manga are already finished long ago, at least you didn't need to worry for filler here. That's all for what I can write in regard of Autumn 2012 anime here. -
Tsurezure's New Project - Gin'iro Haruka
littleshogun replied to littleshogun's topic in Fan Translation Discussion
It's been a while since the update, and this time the update (The source) is kind of big. The first update is we have the update for Mizuha's patch was released, so in case you've been waiting for the fix because a number of typo you can get the update in their website (The link to the MEGA page for the update). The second update is in regard of Yuzuki's QA which will start in a week, or if we base it from the posting date it'll be on 11th later. With the QA time announced, it can be seen as Irru already finished his editing work. That said, as for the chance to get Yuzuki's patch as Christmas gift, I don't really know seeing that there's still much work left with one of those is applying the subbed ending song for Mizuha's route. That's all for the most recent update in regard of Ginharu. -
Welcome to Fuwanovel, and your name remind me of fighting the boss with that name in Mana Khemia lol. Anyway quite straightforward introduction, so I'll just say that I hope you'll have fun in here as well.

Anime of the Year 2012-III Summer - Kingdom
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
SAO - Gonna give a praise to the original, especially with the staffs going all out with the adaptation. That said, there's also controversial plot in the latter half with the author himself was embarrassed that he resort to wrote it. On the other hand though, the success of SAO mean more copy of it, and obviously some of the later isekai story based on SAO (Especially the MC in which they made it similar with Kirito as much as possible), which lead to the saturation of the story with isekai premise. On the other hand, at least isekai story didn't only focused with female MC like in the past. Kokoro Connect - I recall that I did some searching back when the translation project for the VN of it was happening, and what I found is bullying scandal to one of the VA which can be summarized as the joke goes too far resulting some shakeup in the middle of the series. Other than that, well it's about body switching between each casts before it got serious in later episodes. MLA Total Eclipse - The closest MLA anime that the fans got in 2014, and at least it expand the world of MLA so that age can making more of MLA works base on the setting. Oh yes, we have the VN version of it was just fully translated in last year. Koichoco - We have translation patch of this, and Nekonyan announced this with the plan to release it in this year (More like Hikari Field plan though). The anime did adapt Chisato route (Which make sense seeing that the player forced to play her route first in the original version), although it add some Satsuki backstory and the original villain. Lastly, the opening song of the anime is quite good. That's all for what I can write in regard of Summer 2012 anime here. -
Visual Novel Translation Status (03/09/2023) Because we have Norn9 FD with Nobuo Uematsu as one of the composer released and Nekonyan also announce the exact release date for Secret Agent, I figure that I make a parody for one of the most famous soundtrack that Uematsu have, specifically 'One-Winged Angel' which is very famous as the theme of the main villain for FF7 (And yes, in the past Uematsu is more known as the main composer of Final Fantasy), so we have 'One-Winged Agent' as the title, which somehow still fitting seeing that there's Agent archetype in Yu-Gi-Oh with each members themselves are the angels that represent the planets. Anyway, while Nekonyan announcement is interesting, overall I should say that this week is another below average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Aksys did release the fandisc for Norn9, and it's obviously the after stories for each of the routes in the main game. Other than that, it's just too bad there's no Steam release for English version of Norn9 while Idea Factory approved Steam release for Chinese version. Go play Norn9 FD if you want to see it's and obviously have Switch, and have fun. Once again Frontwing delaying the release for Sharin to September, and apparently the reason is because there's still some works left or something like that. Then again, Frontwing did have two (Relatively) major releases in last two months, so perhaps the delay is kind of make sense to a degree. As for the exact release date of Secret Agent, it'll be on 29th later so feel free to take note of the date if you want to play first translated ensemble VN. For fan translation, we have the QC work for H2O is finished, so all that's left is obviously working on what's left before finally released it, and since the translator targeting September release we may see it in the near future. For the rest of the updates, we have 1465 out of 2499 main scripts of Fate/Extra CCC are edited, Tsuma Netori is at 40% edited, ChuSingura is at 31.11% translated, Akagoei FD is fully edited, and Akagoei 3 is past halfway (50.03%) translated. We also have Aonatsu Line trial patch release, although since the translator is very honest so much that he admit that he used DeepL to learning the base of the dialogue, obviously it's no longer can be called as manual translation. At least I can just ignore this altogether now, seeing that I'm not exactly a fan of them working on Switch version instead of PC version even though I know the programmer can only work on Switch game. That's all for what I can week in regard of this week, and sorry for being short here. See you next week. PS - I know today we have Majikoi A-5 release along with Shiravune leaked a very obvious hint to their next announcement, although I'll talk about it in the next VNTS Review.

Horror Recommendations That Are Simillar to... ?
littleshogun replied to bananaa_.'s topic in Recommendations
If you're looking for some different art, maybe you can try Fata Morgana, although it should be noted that it's not really pure horror VN seeing that it's more like tragedy VN even though the second door is indeed quite creepy. Other than that, maybe Higanbana duology in which both VNs are not as lengthy as the other author works (Higurashi and Umineko). I don't know if you're already read those or not, but nevertheless I hope that my recommendations can be helpful to you. -
For VN of the Month, I would say that I chose Usonatsu in that it has nice art with the developer already proven themselves to make it ever since they worked on Sound of Drop (And Fatal Twelve). Other than it's nice art, honestly I don't know much about it except that the female MC may ended up with one girl with the other girls may form the second couple. Would like more GL VN with more than one heroine like Hakuai or Aoishiro, but it's nice that we got more GL VN after the boom was died down past 2016. About Harem x Shangri-La, well nice big boobs I suppose. I did wonder if the VN can be like Wagahigh in that turned out it has nice character routes, although looks like it's impossible to hope so seeing that the boob design for the heroines make Wagahigh boobs looks very small lol. In any case, apparently the ending has two types of harem ending, although then again HaremKingdom with reasonable boob size has five types of harem ending. At least the art is good if you can get past on how the boobs were drawn in exaggerating manner. That's all for what I can write in regard of August 2023 releases.

Anime of the Year 2012-II Spring - Jormungand
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Accel World is more or less like SAO, except the MC is being fat instead of slim. Lupin Fujiko Mine seems to deconstruct the Fujiko Mine character who often has work together with Lupin only to betray him, although in the end the deconstruction didn't last. For Saint Seiya Omega, Toei decided to hire HCPC artist which in turn make the characters resembled HCPC. AKB0048 is what would happen if the Macross creator decided to make an anime about AKB48, which of course he add space rebellion plot (At least the creator already have enough experience to combine idol and space war in previous Macross series). Medaka Box is like what happen if someone who has capability like Momoyo tried to find her purpose through helping anyone else. Lastly, Nyaruko-san is about the girl version of Nyarlathotep that usually depicted as the villains in any other works. Well, that's all for what I can comment in regard of Spring 2012 anime here. -
Anime of the Year 2012-I Winter - Nisemonogatari
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Bodacious Space Pirate - One of the favorite anime of my favorite GL reviewer, and if you ask me why pirate I guess pirate is sounds far more cool than privateer (The term for legal pirate). It help though that One Piece is about a pirate with the manga is still ongoing until today which should says a lot about it's popularity, and obviously it's also ongoing back in 2012. Nisemonogatari - Compared to Bodacious Space Pirate, my favorite GL reviewer did dislike it with a passion. Personally speaking I never get around to watch Monogatari because it seems to be quite cliche with harem set up despite the interesting premise, so naturally I less care about Nisemonogatari here High School DxD - Very usual harem comedy set up, although it talked a lot on some place thanks to the high number of fanservice contents. Symphogear - Initially the director just want to have the character song played whenever there's a battle, although the VAs mistakenly thought that they should sang when the character song played in the battle, and thus the director decided to ran with it thus making Symphogear quintology being famous for that. Anyway compared to the other series, the first Symphogear has humble beginning, although having one character dead while protecting a civilian with said civilian and the dead character partner being traumatized is not what we call it humble beginning. In any case, it's often mentioned as on how magical girl should be when it come to the fighting, especially in regard of more passionate Precure fans. SmPC - Continuing the effect of the earthquake, Toei decided to make SmPC as light as possible with the episodes being episodic with the countdown of the main villain revival, and it shown in the art in which Kawamura's art is lighter than her work in YPC5 duology (Obviously it make the fans think that SmPC copied YPC5 characters). That said, just because it lighter it didn't mean that the staffs can do more, seeing that they make one of the cadre being the most infamous villain in Precure franchise along with putting much effort on animating the duel between the aforementioned cadre with one of SmPC (Said duel is regarded as one of the best fighting in whole Precure franchise, at least to some of the fans). That's all for what I can write in regard of Winter 2012 anime here. -
Welcome to Fuwanovel, and I see that you've been developing VNs for 10 years. No much to say other than good luck to your current project (And find the replacement artist), and I hope you'll have fun in here.

Visual Novel Translation Status (27/08/2023) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and since we have Shukusei no Girlfriend announced with magical girl in the VN along with Samurai Vandalism release, I decided to just change 'Samurai' into 'Magical Girl' in the latter so we have 'Magical Girl Vandalism' as the title. As for this week, while we have many new announcement, I can say that in the end those new announcements are kind of plain. We also have the releases, although compared to the last week I did find those are less interesting. Overall, I suppose this week is a below average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Cherry Kiss has sudden release back on 25th, and said release is unsurprisingly another nukige called License to Breed with the premise is the MC who is from the branch family of a prestigious family come back to his hometown with his late grandfather gave the authority to the MC to breed in his hometown, which the MC will make full use of the authority to have sex with any female for the sake of increasing the birth number. Speaking of nukige, Shiravune announced Tenioha feat. Mami in that the MC will have a lot of sex with Mami who is the big sister from one of the heroine in the previous work. What I can comment is that I remember Tenioha is a nukige that has the translator removed one of the route, which is quite understandable because it's trap route with the MC will do BL sex with said trap. No exact release date from Shiravune, but they announce that they'll release it in between October to December later. Frontwing released Aikagi After Days, and with August is almost ended I suppose we may as well think that Sharin release is impossible to do with the remaining days. In Aikagi After Days, what I can see is that the MC will spent more days with his girlfriend in summer, and they'll have a lot of sweet time. Not quite interesting to me, and I hope sometimes Frontwing can release bigger title from the developer, like Amakano. Still, have fun if you're interested with it and been wanting to play it. We have another new title from Shiravune, and said title is the aforementioned Shukusei no Girlfriend with the MC have the chance to be a couple with the popular girl in his class who turned out to be the magical girl after she save the MC. For the release estimation, it's the same as Tenioha. Kagura Game released Samurai Vandalism, and from what I see it's usual RPG Maker game with the developer do their best to refine the production value, so at least it might be good gameplay VN on it's own. Shinzou Translations released Memolily, and it's about a story where Yuta met with a nameless girl that he'll call Lily with Lily open her heart to Yuta. I can only say that it's quite underrated VN, and feel free to get it if you're interested. For the rest of fan translation updates, we have Tsuma Netori is at 70% translated, H2O is almost finished with QC work with the current progress is at 92.8% in QC, ChuSingura is at 30.76% translated, Akagoei FD is at 96.55% edited along with 57.47% in QA, Akagei 3 is at 47.6% translated, Fate/Extra CCC editing work was past halfway (1343 out of 2499 main scripts) done, and Yosuga no Sora is at 73% TLC-ed along with 60% edited. Lastly, we have Tsui no Sora Remake was past halfway (51%) translated along with 47% edited. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.

Anime of the Year 2011-IV Fall - Bakuman. 2nd Season
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Hunter X Hunter - Most recent adaptation with the later arc getting animated, with the most well known is Chimera Ant arc. Madhouse did their best to end the anime on the almost conclusive note seeing that the author still doing his best to working on this, although seeing the number of hiatus that he took maybe it would be smart for him to just ended it at the same time 2011 anime was ended, especially with now the series in Archived section of Shonen Jump (Read: Practically cancelled). Mirai Nikki - The MC Yukiteru got the prize to compete in a twisted game where each participants must do their best to kill each other, and so he does his best to survive using his phone that can predict the future. That said, the one that people knew about this anime would be Yuno Gasai who is quite infamous for her action as yandere who will do anything for the sake of Yukiteru. Chihayafuru - No much to say other than it's shoujo anime about karuta game, which to say is quite like a sport seeing each participant need coordinated sight and reflex to get the card right (Well I learnt about it from DDPC in that it has an episode about karuta). Mashiro Iro Symphony - The artist who work in the anime adaptation is Kawamura, who is quite known for making beautiful drawing in her Precure series. I admit that I said Tsubasu art is quite beautiful because of Kawamura drawing in Mashiro Iro Symphony, and thus Tsubasu prove that her drawing in her VN is indeed nice. For the story, well I guess it's more or less like usual charage. Anyway while I say that it's usual charage, I still hope that someday we get Mashiro Iro VN in English. Fate/Zero - Well MAL already praise this enough back in 2011, so I think it's okay to have one or two critic. Anyway Nasu did leave the creation of the original material in the hand of Urobochi, because this is the prequel and therefore it's inevitable that the ending was already spoiled anyway. Of course Ufotable realize that, and thus they decided to go all out polishing the technical side (Graphic, animation, and soundtrack). That side even with very predictable ending, Urobochi can still write some nice casts, namely Rider and his master Waver along with villainous Caster and his equally bad master Uryuu (Also quite ironic that the villainous Caster and Uryuu has the best bond in Fate Zero). Persona 4 - Atlus obviously realize that Persona 4 is very popular (It help that they allow the player to directly control the other party member after their failed experiment of fully AI controlled party members in Persona 3), and seeing that they need money of course the most logical thing to do is make an anime of the game. For the anime itself, I guess I can say it's more or less quite faithful. Majikoi - I saw my university classmate watch this in a class, and it depict the big war in 1st episode that I learnt later is Momoyo's route climax. Anyway unlike Persona 4, the anime staffs here decided to adapt this liberally by mixing the events from several routes and make the original villains for the anime. That's all for what I can write in regard of Winter 2011 anime here. -
Late to the party here. Anyway as for the recommendation I guess it can be something like Shibuya Scramble (Small romance content though), Tokyo Babel (No multiple MC), Tokyo Necro, or maybe 11eyes. I don't know if you're already read those or not, but regardless of it I hope my recommendations can be helpful to you.
-
For Clover Day's translation, I should say that you should try to find the mistranslations by yourself anyway, seeing that the mistranslations may not be noticeable if you didn't fluent in Japan nor you'll be understand why it's the mistranslation in the first place. Regardless, have fun playing Clover Day's if you decided to do so.

Anime of the Year 2011-III Summer - Usagi Drop
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Since I miss the chance to comment Spring 2023 anime, I may as well do that here. Steins Gate - Obviously very successful adaptation compared to Chaos Head, and it help that there's 24 episodes allotted on top that the VN has ladder structure in the first place (It mean the anime staffs can just adapt all the way to the true ending). With MAGES find out their anime adaptation being successful, of course they did the logical stuff by milking it to the death, including to remake the VN with anime graphic which to say is very unnecessary and forcing Daru as the MC in Robotic Notes Dash. Unfortunately though, MAGE still risk themselves in near bankruptcy along with the series creator Chiyomaru did step down from his position, so I guess the milking of Steins Gate is not quite enough to save the company. Anohana - It's the story about a group of friend who understandably can't move after one of their friend was dead, and the development is that they try to move on from the tragedy. Oh yes, the dead friend is counted as the main cast instead of Posthumous Character because said friend is appear as the ghost. Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal - Another new Yu-Gi-Oh series with the less mature MC compared to Yusei (Thus more lighthearted compared to 5D), and this time Konami bring another Extra deck monster type called XYZ which obviously change the metagame back when it was introduced (Especially with the infamous Tour Guide from the Underworld before the new ruling). Anyway, Yuma here has quite a reputation for being easily defeated, although perhaps it's more like he suffer more on screen lose compared to previous MC. Then again, Yuma has spirit guide in form of Astral is certainly not helping his case, especially if we compared it to Yugi. Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream - Tatsunoko decided to make a franchise based on idol with them basically making a magical girl show (Without transformation scene) that has singing while do ice skating, and if I may say something is that the mascot is quite unnecessary for a series (Besides to increase the number of the item to sell in real life) that tried to sell the show in non-magical setting. I also should mention that the story is typical idol stuff, and the writer definitely realize it so the writer decided to pull some soap opera element in the series. Also I like the song in here, although the insert song in Rainbow Life (3rd series) are far more improved. Idolmaster - Compared to Aurora Dream, I would say that I didn't mind the drama in here lol. Also in here while we have the girls who want to become the idol, the MC is the producer who will do his best to make the idol under his watch being successful, including helping the girl whenever said girl has some problem. By the way this is one of successful idol project from Bandai, with another one are Aikatsu and Love Live. Usagi Drop - Obviously the anime has a lot of feeling good element, especially with the 30 years old MC tried his best to become the daughter of his grandfather illegitimate six years old daughter that has been rejected by his family. It should be mentioned that the manga ending is quite infamous even in Japanese, and I'll leave it at that (Feel free to search more of it if you're curious though). That's all for what I can write in regard of Spring and Summer 2011 anime here. -
Anime of the Year 2011-I Winter - Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
I should mention that interesting to note that two magical girl series (Madka and SPC) has been affected by big disaster at that time in Japan (Tohoku earthquake), although SPC got it the worst. Anyway for the anime, well Infinity Stratos is usual harem with male MC, Kore ka Zombie desu ka has some unique if not crazy setting with the illustrators are Yuzusoft artists (I just learnt about it today), and Beelzebub is usual shonen stuff with Oga who at first is quite hesitant to do so before finally getting serious about it. Madoka - Obviously this is the first that start the trend that magical girl should have some bleakness, especially with the cute art that the artist use in Hidamari Sketch. Of course, anyone who know the writer (Urobochi Gen) should expect him to bring some dark element in the show, and he keep manage to prove his capabilities in episode 3 with the bleakness keep going on and on, although he did manage to bring the happiest ending in his work (At east compared to either Saya no Uta or Kikokugai). Obviously the formula bring success, so much that it become the big franchise with the movie sequel and the spin-off Magia Record. Back in 2011, the last two episodes broadcast need to be delayed for a while because of the aforementioned earthquake, although thankfully the series writing is already over by then. SPC - Initially the staffs has a plan to make the ending being more darker than already dark HCPC finale, although the earthquake obviously change the plan. To make it worse, the staffs already write about one third of the initial episodes (Would be around 16 episodes) before the incident, obviously causing the staffs need to change the writing as much as possible to adapt with the situation. That said, even with the situation and unavoidable circumstances, obviously most people didn't like the change nicely, especially when it near the finale the staffs need the heroines to do some unnatural action to advance the story. All in all, I guess SPC is still a nice series with good drawing and nice opening, although don't expect much good story in it. Oh yes, Toei decided to try musical motif in this series, although whether it does the job or not is up to each of their own. That's all for what I can write in regard of Winter 2011 anime. -
Visual Novel Translation Status (20/08/2023) Welcome to this week VNTS Review, and since we have both Clover Day's along with Walkure Romanze were released, I figure that I'll just combine the word from both so we have 'Clover Romanze' as the title. For this week, I should say that this is more interesting compared to the last week even though technically we have less updates, especially with the aforementioned Clover Day's and Walkure Romanze releases. Other than that, we have usual fan translation update along with Shiravune announced their new title. Overall once again this week is an interesting one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. We have Hana Awase exact release date, and said date is October 26th. Although it's only for console version, so no Mangagamer version that is available in PC. For when Mangagamer will release it, I don't really know other than it's announced that PC version will come in the future. Sekai finally have the exact release date for Usonatsu, and it'll be on September 15th later although the announcement is from JP site instead of Sekai themselves (At least we have their backlog reduced yet again). For Shiravune announcement, it's Kuroinu 2 in which it's the sequel of the first Kuroinu with the MC Derek who is said to be the second coming of the legendary Vult that has done a lot of heroic actions, and by heroic actions I mean raping a lot of women with Derek does his best to make his predecessor proud. Yeah, we'll going to have a lot of rape scenes here, and in case you want to play Kuroinu 2 then you can note that it'll be released in between October to December later. There's one underrated VN called Bloodstained Flowers that has been translated a fan, and the premise is we'll going to have a group of students came into an abandoned mansion with it's previous owner being a scientist that involved in researching a very poisonous flower that will either directly kill the victim or make the victim showing violent tendency, which naturally the group of the students will be the victims of the flower and then the madness ensues. Feel free to get the VN if you're interested with it (Available for free in the official website), and have fun. For the rest of the updates, we have Akagoei FD is at 89.66% edited along with 57.47% in QA, Akagoei 3 is at 44.85% translated, ChuSingura is at 30.45% translated, 1209 out of 2499 main script of Fate Extra CCC are edited, Tsuma Netori is at 65% translated, and H2O is at 77.7% (What a lucky number) in QA. I already know the team who translate Walkure Romanze has target to release Noel's patch on this year, although I never think the exact release date would be on the same day as Clover Day's release (Not that I'm complained or anything). For the premise itself, we have the school with the focus on jousting sport, and for explanation it's like fencing except each participant ride a horse and using lance to score points. We have Takahiro who is an ace in jousting but need to retire because of the accident (Mod Clephas point that it's better reason than Masaya's reason to retire in Aokana), although he didn't entirely abandon the path of jousting with him working as beglieter (ie the assistant) using full knowledge of jousting to assist the heroines in the jousting match. It should be mentioned that while the VN is not as well known as Majikoi, Ricotta still manage to grab some non-eroge VAs (Particularly Shitaya Noriko and Uchiyama Yumi) to act in here. Go get Noel's patch if you've been waiting for it, and have fun. Last but definitely not the least, we finally have Nekonyan released Clover Day's after years of work and tribulations. From what I can gather, at first we have the translation project for this established way back in 2014 by Astro with the most progress is that he manage to release the translation patch that translate up to the prologue. Some times after that, Astro stop his translation work and Ittaku took over the project with him finishing up the translation works, although it didn't mean that it's ready to be released (The reason is because of the legal stuff). Fast forward to 2019, Nekonyan decided to offer their help with Clover Day's and announced it in January 2020, although it's still not over because Steam decided to randomly reject the initial build (Which Hikari Field need to resubmit it) and Alcot also need to work on the Plus version build. Finally after all of it was done, we have it released back in 18th. For the premise, it's about Yuuto who is live together with his (Mostly female) childhood friends with Yuuto himself is from the orphanage in England. From there, he'll have romance with one of his childhood friends. Go get Clover Day's if you've been waiting for it (At most 9 years), and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week. PS - I know that Shiravune announced Shukusei no Star today, although I'll save the talk about it for the next VNTS Review.

Welcome to Fuwanovel, and I see that we have another OELVN creator here (Not that it wrong, because more VNs should be good). No much to say here other than I hope you'll have fun in here, and good luck on your project.

Hello Everyone. I am Inkwis Bart. :)

Welcome to Fuwanovel, @Inkwis Bart. No much to say here other than good luck on your OELVN project, and that I hope you'll enjoy yourself in here. -
Welcome to Fuwanovel @Tenshi, and sorry for the belated greeting. For the recommendations, honestly speaking it's quite broad, although if I may suggest something in case you didn't read it yet perhaps both Taisho Alice and Bustafellow could be interesting to you (Bonus point for those two VNs are available on PC). Lastly I hope that you'll have fun in here.

Since you just came back to Fuwanovel, I suppose greeting by saying welcome back would be more appropriate, @MikeB. Anyway, feel free to ask for more VN recommendations if you need it and I hope that you'll have fun in here like in the past.

Shiravune selling on MangaGamer and Jast now
littleshogun replied to ChaosRaven's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I have no much to say other than at least good that Shiravune did try to expand their market by increasing the option for the buyer to buy their VNs. Also by the way today they just increased their VNs on both Mangagamer and JAST, with the notable one are Marmalade VNs (Here's hoping that someday we may have Shiravune localized Study Steady 2). Also I hope that Shiravune can also increase the store, particularly Denpasoft and GOG. -

For the info I didn't miss that big release, because I already wrote it about a month ago.
