About this matter, while I'd also said that some people shouldn't watch Sailor Moon Crystal (Although to be honest, I said that in regard of lame battle animation compared to Go Princess Precure at that time rather than story though), my recommendation is that you better watch it from Crystal directly, because original Sailor Moon anime was had 200 episodes and Crystal also adapted the story from the manga anyway. After you finished watching Crystal, you might as well watch the original one. For Crystal itself, while the main writer had some problem in Precure storyboard, actually the people more complained about the comparison between old and new anime ie bad animation and less character development (Granted Crystal had less episode than original anime). tldr - Maybe Crystal was bad, but since some people appreciate it I suggest you better watch it first, and if you finished you could watch the old version. And see which version is better.

srpg recommendation similar to sengoku rance
littleshogun replied to litte's topic in Recommendations
Oh, welcome to Fuwanovel and hope you enjoy yourself (I knew this isn't introduction page, but whatever). About your request, maybe Daibanchou was the one you should look to, considering it was had same gameplay as Sengoku, only more unrefined. Also don't forget the sort of Sengoku prototype, Kichikuou Rance (Although once again Sengoku was more refined). Both of those game and Sengoku came from same developer, Alice Soft. For Eiyuu Senki, in regard of story maybe it was like Sengoku Rance. But the gameplay and endgame story more like Kichikuou one. For Eiyuu battle, it was quite simple. And to get the skill you'll need to follow heroine scene (Forgot to said thst all other character other than MC was genderbent hero, ie became girl). If you ask me it's good or not, I would said yes as long as you didn't expect very complicated story. Hope my answer here helpful to you, and had fun for trying recommended gameplay VN. -
Welcome to Fuwanovel even though this is not introduction page, narigane. About CG, I think it was unlocked each time you finished heroine route. For example, you'll unlock Nozomi CG Section if you finished her route. So, to see all of CG Section you obviously need to play all of heroine route (Either by manipulating affection point or playing all over again, it's your choice). About extra scene, there's none in here. And if you want to see Euphie scene with Tokimi, my suggestion would by play Narukana route next (Don't expect too much though). For true route, I think Narukana route was true route here. And if you interested more in Seinarukana, just google 'Seinarukana Animesuki'. Hope my answer here help.

Visual Novel Translation Status (05/28/2016) Sorry for late blog post here. For the title, this week I choose ultimate title (You knew what I mean if you play Dangan Ronpa) and since the image header was from Homeless School Girl VN, so I'd use Homeless Girl (I'm not using school since the synopsis indicate that the girl couldn't attend school) from the VN title. Okay, about the VN itself, I'd read the VNDB discussion and let's just said that the girl was suffered many rape and humiliation, especially from her step father. Oh, and by the way thanks for translating Homeless School Girl, Deep Blue even though maybe the VN wasn't too much cheery for me and too heavy (Also quite dark from VNDB discussion). Welcome to my VNTS Review for this week here. For catch up from last week, I'm sorry to said about Angel Beats (AB) translation team who must stop their work for translating it because Visual Art decided to translated AB by themselves. Oh, and by the way we also had news about Ixrec working to translating Rewrite + VN. As for my comment, maybe Rewrite was kind of divisive, but since we'd promised that there will be improvement about the scenario I wonder what kind of reaction we'll see later. AB once again not interested so much right now because it was only volume one, while KEY obviously will add more AB volume in the future. Let's see it later. For fan translation project, we had another one established here. As for the progress, right now it was quite hard to said but the translator promised us that the moment he update the progress, it'll be at least around 75%. For the VN itself, it was some sort of nukige with fantasy world setiing and loser MC. And for the woman, we'll had big breast one. Not on my list of looking forward though, but good luck on the project though and hopefully this VN will satisfied any big breast fan in the future if it's translated. About Indie Go Go (IGG), looks like it'll be trend in the future for localizing VN. At least it was had advantage over Kickstarter with flexible fund ie if the project didn't managed to get funded in time, the project itself could be extended compared to Kickstarter which couldn't be extended if it's failed (I guess). Also, apparently it was more flexible for the project with 18+ content ie not as restrictive as Kickstarter in term of adult content. For the report, this week we had 2 projects entering IGG (Corona Blossom and Princess Knight). For Corona Blossom, right now it was gathered around 8,329 out of 30,000 (Half of it thanks to some backer who backed at 4,000 though), and while the goal was quite small some member here said it was probably for promotion for the VN itself. And this time Princess Knight was very surprisingly almost achieved the goal, with 10,864 out of 12,000 funded. Both VN was said will be delivered at this year, and both of IGG still had one month left for deadline. Let's see it later for both of IGG, although obviously Princess Knight will fully funded first obviously. And before forget, my condolence for Princess Knight MC seiyuu, Mochi Yomigi here who passed away at 30 years old. Sekai Project Well, not much here other than Maitetsu picked up again at 15.68% translation progress and WEE at 86.52%. And I think I'd said enough about Princess Knight above. For Darekoi and Memory Dogma, it was had some nice progress (78.75% for Darekoi and 42.15% for Memory Dogma) although I'm still not interested with those 2 though. And for 2 new announced VN here, Sekai was surprisingly fast at translating it (Although the VN length for those 2 was short though). By the way, the progress for both new announced VN was at 50.11% for 2236 AD and 47.08% for Love, Guitars, and the Nashville Skyline (Don't know much other than it was probably about guitar play thing). Other than those progress, not much ie no Chrono Clock and Tenshin Rahman progress once again. Mangagamer For 2 weeks update roundup we already had Kyonyuu (Or Funbag) Fantasy was fully translated and edited, Kuroinu at 70% translated, Imopara 2 at 46% translated, Pygmalion was at 100% translated, MYTH was about entering beta testing, and Da Capo 3 was at 94.7% translated and 91.3% edited. For nukige progress, no comment other than the progress for Kyonyuu was very fast for just recently announced VN (Or maybe Mangagamer was already did all the work, including partnering with Waffle and keep it secret before announcing it). For Pygmalion, let's see how much fast the editing will be, although hopefully it won't be too long. For Da Capo 3, actually it was had the true route translated and what's left is only epilogue/omake thing. Looks like Da Capo 3 translation will definitely finished before July, and hopefully in next 2 weeks we'll see 100% at translation progress for Da Capo 3. Fan Translation For Astral Air, after crazy progress from last week, it was slowed down again at 0.95% progress from last week (I'm still grateful of course) bringing the overall translation progress to 79.71%. Koiken Otome, looks like the VNTS was wrong although we had the QC update though from 86.71% to 87.71%. For Koiken Otome itself, although the game might get not so good review, just try to low your expectation very low in case you want to play it ie not expecting action like Tokyo Babel even though the premise was quite promising for that of course. Hanasaki, after reading Clephas review (He was slightly dislike it though) I think the prologue was indeed mean common route and right now it was 100% translated. About the next route for Hanasaki, they said they'll translated Hikari's route next according to this post. Majokoi translation team just had the update after VNTS was finished, so I'll report the progress here. For the progress, it was at 5% translated and 3% edited. This is definitely good progress if I may said. Tsui Yuri, since Dergonu was faced the challenge with the name Math test (I understand) the progress was not much compared to last week, although it was still good though (3% progress, and the translation progress right now was at 25%). For last update, since Arcadeotic also busy with exam, there's not much progress in Bishoujo Mangekyou translation (The progress was at 4.7% translated for 8th script). Well, not much progress, but nevertheless good job for updating it even though both of you were busy. And last word for Fan Translation progress, there is another new translation project for VN called Mahou Shoujo. Here's the page, and if some of you want to offer help just ask Chronopolis there. That's all for my VNTS Review. And I think this week was quite usual ie not much excitement after many crazy time in April (I mean back in April we'd had many big release for translated VN). See you next week in my VNTS Review. Oh, and thanks for your interview with Sekai Project, Decay.

Looking for highschool romance with a twist
littleshogun replied to Limerence_'s topic in Recommendations
If you talk about high school setting, it was quite much actually. Okay I'd actually recommended some back in your introduction thread, so I think this time I'll just add Lucid9 since it's free, quite well received, and the creator here was one of Fuwanovel member. Maybe Lucid9 wasn't had much romance in the VN itself, but if you want high school with a twist, try it. Oh, and if you had 12 or so GB HDD space, try School Days, since this VN was quite infamous for bad ending ie gory. Hope my recommendation here help. -
vn release The House in Fata Morgana Released!
littleshogun replied to Decay's topic in Visual Novel Talk
After seeing the game, I think even though maybe the art was not usual VN art ie this game use gothic, it's still better than Higurashi original art. Okay, maybe I'd said the art was off putting in the past, but right now I think it wasn't too bad (And some of us called it beautiful art). About the VN itself, I think it's quite good indeed with VNDB average score was at 8.38 right now and Bayesian at 7.29 (I'd already knew Bayesian rating was created in order to prevent VN with low votes had very high or very low ranking, but seeing the Bayesian score raise significantly at least indicate that this VN was good imo and acceptable (Although I might be better to look at average score of course)). As for the OST, it had voice and quite good if I said myself. By the way, if some of you want another feedback in form of review, I'll give the review from Operation Rainfall. The review was quite good imo, and I think it was quite spoiler free imo (Although be careful though). And I think this VN was quite profitable in Japan, so much that I'd browse Jap Wiki for this game and find out that the Drama CD was had some very good seiyuu name like Mamiko Noto for White Haired Girl and Yui Horie (Will Mangagamer localize the Drama CD later I wonder, or will we had voiced Fata Morgana with the seiyuu from Drama CD voicing character in the future? I'd certainly hope so). Okay, and for last word here sorry if I couldn't word well what I want to said. Here's the review from Operation Rainfall, divided in 2 pages. Lucid9:Inciting Incident Discussion Thread
littleshogun replied to Dark_blade64's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Bumping here. This time I'll post another review for this game. Here's the review, and hopefully it could be good for your feedback, @Diamon. And here's his last word from the review that I'll quote here (Before that, I'm sorry if the word couldn't motivated you or discourage you). Hope the review could help for the feedback, and more opinion was of course good. For information, actually the blogger already reviewed the anime since back at 2005 so he was quite experienced in reviewing anime if you need to know about the reviewer experience. -
Favorite BGM/soundtrack of a Visual Novel
littleshogun replied to Exult's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Just realize that Ever17 had some sort of leitmotif from the gamefaqs since the OST name was not indicating the character name. Might as well put the OST here. Tsugumi Theme - Qualle (Jellyfish in English) Sora Theme - Karussel Delphine (Merry-Go-Round Dolphin in Englsh) You (Not the reader, but in game character) Theme - Lemurianische Ruine (Lemurian Ruins in English) Sara Theme - Kosmisher Wal (Cosmic Whale in English) Coco Theme - Weißer Hund (White Dog in English, and I'd use PSP Version) Enjoy the OST, especially if you fan of Ever17 here. -
Welcome to Fuwanovel, and I hope you had fun here. By the way, what is your favorite Visual Novel? As for your study, I couldn't follow it but maybe you could try to apply programming for Fan Translation here. Enjoy yourself here.

New Cardcaptor Sakura Anime Announced!
littleshogun replied to Nosebleed's topic in Anime/Manga Talk
Sakura eh? Well, I'd remember that Sakura was some sort of magical girl who accidentally unseal all card with super power and she must collect all card again. Oh, we also had her best friend who also like to record Sakura in action (And doubled as second cousin. Just Google the term), a boy rival who will turned to her lover, a fiancee from saidboy rival, and a mascot who Sakura called Kero. As for the anime itself, well mostly it was slice of life and quite calm (And please don't expect Symphogear or any modern magical anime situation there). Oh, and if some of you want to watch it, it was had 70 episode. And by the way the anime was had some different story element from manga, so I would suggest if some of you want to enjoy Sakura, read manga and watch the anime too. By the way, this series was quite well known in Indonesia, because back around 2000 Indonesian TV was broadcasted this (Of course dubbed). And I'd also knew that USA version somehow got screwed in the broadcast itself ie started from episode 8. About new anime, it might be good but we still didn't knew when it'll be broadcast in Japan though. -
Looking for something Modern and Translated.
littleshogun replied to tjc2's topic in Recommendations
Nice avatar I guess. Anyway, I think some member already recommended good one, but may I joined here. Okay, actually if you based on release date after 2010 and translated, I think we'd had quite a number there. But since you ask for the good graphic recommendation, how about Aoishiro, ef, and eden. I knew those 3 wasn't released at 2010, but the graphic was so good and you might as well look at the picture in VNDB page. For after 2010 release, if you want some gameplay, how about Kamidori. For action VN, maybe Cho Dengeki Stryker was good too, and if you think Dengeki Stryker premise was childish, Tokyo Babel might be good for you. And for last recommendation, judging from your avatar maybe Shiny Days also good for you (Also if you had 16 GB HDD Space). If you ask me if some of them had romance element or not, I'll said yes although the element might be too few compared to previous recommendation. Also I think from my recommendation only Tokyo Babel and Aoishiro that didn't had H-Scenes (But it's still quite good). Oh, and of course all of my recommendation were translated. Hope my recommendation here help. PS - Oh, Konosora was good too, although the H-Scenes was ripped though. There's some way to restore H-Scenes though, although some member here already worked on Restoration patch for long time though. H-Scenes issue aside, Konosora itself had romance moment though. -
Welcome to Fuwanovel and hope you had fun here. And speaking about your experience, it was quite interesting I supposed although I couldn't elaborate it too much though (Sorry). Speaking about console VN, did you play something like Ar Tonelico or untranslated one like Memories Off ? And while console was had nice game collection, I still think that PC was more capable to survive the changing time, especially with many console game that had Steam version (Although some of them need very big HDD space and good graphic card though). For last word, not much other than good luck in your Fuwanovel activity in the future.

Another member here had birthday, so I'll said happy 31st birthday @Fred the Barber even though in your location still too early and hope you had upcoming years well. Also hope I see you more, even though I'd already saw you here a lot though. I'd remember that you came to Anime Boston by the way, and I'm thankful for that (Also thanks for funding Root Double, since I saw your name on True ED Credit there). So, once again happy birthday, Fred. PS - Just remember, also thanks for editing 2 routes from ToHeart 2 at the translation project itself.

If you ask are you missing the file, my honest answer would be yes. You really missing the file from HD folder here. Specifically the Windows Sound Scheme file that should be placed on some Japanese name folder at HD folder. And since JAST didn't add it in the folder, obviously the sound scheme file itself was not in HD folder. Well, I got the answer indirectly from some old blog post which said that he had Narukana sound scheme file, and he said something like if you want Narukana scream at you every time you using computer or something like that. And for the sound scheme file itself, I didn't knew either where we could got that. Oh, and in case what's your button mean, it was probably Nozomi's voice said Windows Started or something like that every time you start your PC (In Japan of course, and only if the file exist). tldr - Since the sounds file was unavailable from the very start, just ignore WSS section in Extra part.
-
Well, if you ask me what's the fix, my answer will be none. Yes, there's nothing that could fix WSS Error, because actually you need to download the file itself from somewhere and place it on HD Folder, and looks like JAST didn't include the sound file. Actually, WSS means Windows Sound Scheme (You may already knew this though) and here's the tutorial to customize it in your computer. As for the sound file itself, I don't know either where to get it. So, I think it's better if you treated WSS section as useless extra part here. Oh, and by the way welcome to Fuwanovel and hope you had fun here.

@wyldstrykr Although I said there's no unique skill from SS Rank, I think SS Rank was still nice challenge from Seinarukana imo. About Energy Leak ineffective, the only possibilities is that somehow you got battle mana less than 2 (Oh, speaking about battle mana actually Energy Leak need 2 battle mana to activated. But since usually you'll gain 2 battle mana for each turn start, it should be no problem) when in support. Another possibilities is that Energy Leak was happened to banish setup skill (For example Breeze Relief) when Flame Shower enemy was in support position (Impossible as of Chapter 2). Other than those 2, I didn't knew why Energy Leak was ineffective against Flame Shower other than maybe your game got bug.
-
@SilverLi If you talk about Flame Shower, you should be able to banish it with Energy Leak, since Flame Shower was level 4 skill and Energy Leak was able to banish any support skill up to level 4 (Oh, and Ice Banish only able to banish the support skill up to level 3). But since you mention that you already tried to try Energy Leak and it's failed, maybe it's a bug. Or are you already beat Seinarukana and try hard mode for example. If not, well maybe it's really bug (Although I'd never had any problem with Energy Leak though).

VN Reading Club - April 2016 (Imouto Paradise!)
littleshogun replied to Kosakyun's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Okay, last route on Imouto Paradise (And I'll not play harem route) which this time we'll see the romance between Aya and her Nii-san (It was her call to MC here). For the seiyuu, Aya was voiced by Yukimura Toa who also voiced Palamedes back in Eiyuu Senki and Karen in curently translated Libra the Vampire Princess. For her scenes, well it's quite normal compared to XXXjob back at Rio's route, femdom back at Michika route, humiliation back at Hiyori's route and sex in public back at Koharu's route. By normal I mean only blowjob, anal, and usual sex (Although Aya choose anal as her first sex though). Oh, and by the way all sisters had started their sex career by masturbating lol. For Aya herself, she was quite skillful at household, especially cooking but bad at handling technology (There's a scene when Aya managed to broke the TV until her nii-san fix by changing the setting). She also love all of her fellow imouto and MC of course. For the conflict, I think this is the only route when they acknowledge the incest was taboo in society and MC himself realize that, so he decided that he'll try to distance himself from Aya if possible. But of course, since they already became lover it was harder than said if they distanced each other (And when Aya jealous, she decided to tease MC in the bathroom). And since MC already became lover with Aya, there's no problem in regard of MC cluelessness about her love iirc (Or it was toned down compared to previous routes). Although they tried their best to keep it secret, in the end all of other 4 imouto knew that though. They decided to agree with MC and Aya relationship just like in every route (Well, actually every imouto accept their older brother relationship with one of them except back at Michika route), and after that MC and Aya had sex for whole days. Okay, for nukige, I think it was nice and once again the animation was good (Also it had interesting ejaculation countdown feature). In regard of scenario, since according to VNDB this game had 3 writers, I suspect that one of them was main writer who write Aya and Rio route (Aya because it managed to add incest taboo, while Rio was had good chemistry between herself and MC), another one was femdom fan who write Michika route (And he made MC looks like very horny there, so much I renamed MC 'Hornyman' to express my insult there), and another one who write Koharu and Hiyori routes (Because the conflict was like 'my twin was better to you instead of me' thing). Well, VNDB didn't list what route they write anyway for each writer, so I'm free to speculate here I suppose (Of course I didn't knew which one is main writer there though). Other than that, couldn't comment much. That's all for my experience in regard of Imouto Paradise. Sorry if it's very late here. Next I'll try to play Yumina (Actually replay though, since I played Yumina too back in 2013). I'll try to give the comment about Yumina in VN Reading Club May thread later. -
Well, I'm bored and found this interesting article here. By the way, the writer here was also one of our member Jikorde (Although actually it will be better if he posted it by himself here though. And sorry for posting it here if you come here), and if you need some save data from VN with gameplay, you could also visit his site and browse it. He also did the review the VN that had save data uploaded, and I think he did well in regard of review (If Jikorde see this, you could add your blog to the hub in here). Regarding the article itself, I'm sure anyone already knew this secret regarding of Mangagamer nukige release. But my comment would be I think it's okay if they release nukige in order to support the company. After all, I think if in the future we'll seeing more of good VN translated, why not? And even if we didn't read the nukige, most of other people outside will buy and read them of course. Or if you said Steam/Sekai equivalent it would be Sakura series (Sakura Wars series or Snow Sakura not included here). Now that I think about it, back in the past mostly JAST release was came from nukige (ie Sagara Family). My conclusion here would be I'm okay if Mangagamer using nukige as gold mine for the company (Although if I'll play nukige or not is another story though), but any member here might not agree though. Oh, and he also comment about his expectation about July announcement and he hope it will be good (I'm looking forward to it too by the way). So, any opinion, especially about Mangagamer nukige release (Even though it's maybe already well known, I'm still interested to hear everyone opinion) here?
-
Well, congratulations for 2 years post here. And if you compared it from mine technically it's 17 months that I'm joining here (But I'm just more active recently ie since January, so maybe in regard of activity I'm just 5 months to be here I guess). For the post, sometimes I confused what I want to post in here though and maybe it's also common problem for all of Fuwanovel member here. Once again congratulations, and to be honest I didn't had any question here though. Hope we see each other more here.
-
@wyldstrykr I think none, because according to JP Guide that I read using Google Translate for lousy translation, there's no unique skill that available if you got S/SS Rank ie you could just kill some enemy to got the skill from SS Rank Mission (Although you might as well did SS Rank though, since skill from chapter 12 that you got from SS Rank was quite rare ie the enemy which hold them was limited compared to previous chapter). Oh, and actually what SS Rank affected in term of skill was that you'll obtained the skill earlier instead of later. tldr - There's no unique skill from S/SS Rank. It will only allow us to got the skill earlier if you managed S/SS Rank a mission.
-
I think I didn't really had much problem with height, so false. Next person would be very protective to their own little sister, so much that you didn't allow her to meet another man or disapprove her boyfriend so much.
-
I think for my organizing VN, just put it in local disc D and E instead of desktop. Well, I'd also put the VN in unique name folder for each 6 - 7 VN (Or only 4 VN for some folder). Other than that, not much different from some member here in regard of storing VN.
-
Oh, and in case OP here asking if Root Double is sequel/prequel, it was stand alone game ie no sequel or prequel. And by the way, if you interested to play Seinarukana keep in mind that the VN had gameplay element.
