  1. I'm liking the 10. It's shiny. <3chu NayNay.
  2. I like looking at the new topics that are put out, but sometimes there are a lot that come very quickly, and sometimes I miss one or two topics I would have been able to contribute to. We have plenty of white space, any chance we can double the number of recent topics?
  3. JOAT has been offered donations before, but we refuse to take them for two reasons: 1) We're not going to work any faster because you decided to give us money. Hell, we might end up being slower cause that goes to our alcohol fund. 2) If we were to use the donations to, let's say, pay somebody to translate a game we're working on. Who gets paid what? The editors do as much work as the translators in some situations, does that mean they should be paid on the same tier as the translators? But without the translators we would have to use a machine, which results in a shoddy translation, so shouldn't they get paid more? And what about me? I spent a lot of time putting together all of the people we needed for this project, and keeping them somewhat motivated. Surely that means I should get something out of this if money is involved. It's a dramabomb waiting to happen. Spoiler contains what we would do if a large sum of money becomes involved through method other than donation (do the math yourselves).
  4. If you downloaded the game from Fuwa, ensured that the files were not set to "Read Only," and you're actually in Japanese Locale, it should play without issue. Sharin was one of the less painful ones to set up (thanks Akabei Soft2), to the point of actually being painless. If your Antivirus or whatever you're using blocked something, the game could very well not work. Turn it off. tl;dr, you did something wrong. Try again.
  5. between the unsuspecting...
  6. Confession: Tiago-senpai recognizes me! I suppose this means I should probably add my (relatively short) list of people I chat with on some sort of basis and enjoy doing so. This list is in no particular order, or maybe it is, or maybe you'll tell me it is. Also confession: I've never had Cable Television/Satellite/anything. Ever. Not even when I was a kid. You know, he's that one guy. With the things, and the stuff.
  7. I went ahead and purchased the Limited Edition Physical copy. I'll put up reviews of it when I get it!
  8. General reminder that I'm always available if necessary.
  9. The Narcissu stuff is very good, especially if you like Utsuge. Yume Miru Kusuri was also my gateway drug into the VN scene (pretty ironic, huh?). Stay away from Nekoko's route if you're looking for genuine story, but if you like dirty sex scenes that would be a good choice. Kirimiya's route is also pretty dirty, but there's a really good story to match it. I personally liked Kana ~Imouto~. One of the heroines is in the hospital a vast majority of the time. Really good story. Then there's the obligatory G-Senjou no Maou mention, because it's just that good.
  10. I watched the Ami+Yumi show back when it was first premiering, but I never got into it. Next person received something sexual for Christmahanakwanzika - DVD, Book, Toy, Game, Anything.
  11. Key makes me happy. Key makes me very, very happy. Now I'm going to have to persuade somebody to buy and ship this for me.
  12. I already own this. I just wanted to put this here.
  13. BOOMER'S BIRFDAY?
  14. I have two cats: Floyd, my cross-eyed Siamese who refuses to take no for an answer, especially when it involves sitting on my lap. Gypsy, my fluffy Himalayan who will only drink water from a faucet, and will only eat food on my kitchen table. I love them.
  15. Friendly reminder that the newest update is up! Go read it!
  16. 13 bucks? That's pretty cheap. *buys*
  17. True. Dr. Pepper was created for exactly that purpose. Anybody who disagrees will be shunned. The next person disagrees with me.
  18. According to VNDB, there are a handful of games better than 999. Of course, this is based on opinion and hype. I quite enjoyed both games, and I will look forward to a third, should Japan decide to give it a shot. The second game bombed over there. I really enjoyed Umineko and Higurashi. They're very long, however - like 50+ hours long.
  19. Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete Bokura no Ue ni Sora wa Mawaru Ryuusei☆Kisek There are a lot of VNs with the Himawari Title. Very few are translated into English. Sekai to Sekai no Mannaka de Twinkle ☆ Crusaders Having done the research for you, you will find that none of these have an English translation, and one is in progress, but no patches have been released. If you liked Deardrops, play Kira☆Kira. It's by the same company that did Deardrops - OVERDRIVE. Don't ask for a download link here, it's licensed. It also has a Fandisk, which is pretty good. Finally, there's a Crossover game between Deardrops, Kira☆Kira, and Curtain Call, that you would very likely enjoy. Otherwise, if you're looking for general suggestions, Read This.
  20. The response to the PM, I think I'm going to shy away from this one.
  21. I can't say I've ever considered practicing exhibitionism. So, false. Next person has read at least one game with a female protagonist.
  22. There appear to be multiple programs here. I'll figure it out. Already sent a PM out though, so we'll see what happens.
  23. I'll get a hold of him and see if he wants to work with an editor. I like Favorite's stuff. Currently downloading all the stuff right now to see what he means by "amateur translation."
  24. I'm not aware of any games with a full (or at least, from beginning to an end) translation via VNR. Nor have I been able to locate any resources that show a list or anything of that nature. Will continue looking.
