Cho Dengeki Stryker Buy From Mangagamer! Summary From Mangagamer: Yuuki Yamato has modeled his young life after the superheroes he loves. When his best friend Haruna is teased by bullies, he always tries to defend her - but his life is not a comic book, and things never work out as planned. One day, after yet another failure, Haruna tells Yamato that she is moving away. She asks him to come and see her off, but Yamato - his pride still wounded - cannot find the courage to face her. When Yamato is feeling his lowest, an old man appears before him. He is known as the Memory Collector, and he will grant one wish in exchange for a memory. Yamato makes his wish: to become Dengeki Stryker, his favorite comic book hero. Years later, an army of cyborgs from the Balbora Empire appear in the city where Haruna now lives. With the police and the army powerless against the Empire's mechanical might, it falls to a single hero to stop them - a hero who looks remarkably like Dengeki Stryker! This is an action-packed visual novel full of twists and turns that takes the reader for a ride that they will never want to get off of! Suggested Route Order Cho Dengeki Stryker has an enforced playing order. In order to progress to different sagas, specific endings must first be seen. This walkthrough is for the entirety of both Dengeki Stryker and the additional stories in Cho Dengeki Stryker. There is the option to force certain sagas to be available, but it is HIGHLY suggested that you do not utilize this feature unless you are reinstalling the game or something similar. Dengeki Stryker also had an additional set of "Jack's Diary" pages. While you will get most of them playing through the routes, there are a few extra requirements to get the remainder of them. They will be noted. The Steel Saga endings can be completed in either order, but I suggest first completing Rin's, followed by Clie's. Events in the Light Saga will not change, but will flow slightly better if you read it after completing Clie's route. There are a total of seven different endings over six sagas. Many of the sagas draw from the same common route. Some endings do not require any choices. If you are not keen on rereading text, you will be abusing the Skip Read feature a LOT. I'll split this into two separate responses. Worst Nukige I've read was easily Dual Phase. I love weird stuff, and this is very much up my alley, but the game was absolutely terrible from the get-go. It also had a yandere heroine, which I cannot stand, but the H-scenes were terribly drawn and the story progression is too forced, even for a nukige. Worst non-nukige, though this one is reallllly close to crossing that line, is Love Love H-Maid. I wrote a review a long time ago on Cartoon-World, and I'm pretty sure my review had more words than the entire game, and it was pretty short. Waste of time and money.

Introducing A Delay to Licensed VN Torrents [Completed]

I'll just drop my opinion here. Uproar I'm sure will ensue, apologies in advance. I had an interesting chat in IRC earlier this morning with RaptorFB. Essentially, he pointed out that this torrent was already created, and was appalled at how quickly the game was cracked and released as a free torrent. That part is nothing new - Day0 and Day1 releases are incredibly common with nearly everything nowadays. However, many of those fandoms have such large fanbases that people who want shiny extras will buy the game anyway. Hell, most people just buy the game regardless of the extras because "Hey I (or my kid, depending on the circumstances) wants Call of Duty and Halo and {insert random other shooter that I don't play because they give me a headache}, and so I'ma just go buy it for him." Visual Novels don't have sort of widespread influence on the market. Companies like Mangagamer, etc., spend sizable amounts of money in order to obtain licenses, perform translations, do editing, and making sure that the game is presentable to an English market. They then sell these games, which in turn provide the funding for more titles. What they release is based on how much their previous games made. If you see a string of nukige, it's because sales haven't been so fantastic. When you see major titles like Cartagra or Dengeki Stryker or Shuffle! come out, it means that sales were decent, so they could bring a more popular title over. Fuwanovel's goal has, as far as I'm aware, has always been "Making Visual Novels Popular in the West." Previously, in order to do that, we had to hype and pirate everything in order to create a large enough group of people that could actually be marketed to. Companies picked up on that marketability, took a shot, and now we have a few companies that are making it out there with the help of people who actually want to support the company and not just get their rocks off and move on. If they want to just get their rocks off, well, there's plenty of nukige they can pick from thanks to the massive amounts of pirating that has occurred. But Ryechu, I don't have money blah blah blah... That sounds like a personal problem, and has zero effect on the fact that you should support the companies that are trying to make your favorite medium popular. The motto should remain, but our approach should be different. Fan-translated works and the like should still be hosted, because that's the only way we're going to see many, if not all of those. If the Japanese parent company has an issue with it, they put out a C&D, and move on. However, any mention of illegally obtaining licensed products should be immediately destroyed. Requests for licensed titles, similarly, should be posted on and locked. If they're that desperate, there's this cool thing called Google. I don't advocate its use for that purpose, but I can't force my hands through your monitors to stop you from doing it either, as much as I would like to. TL;DR: Support licensed titles by actually buying them, and destroy anything requesting free versions of these licensed titles on Fuwa. We want to make Visual Novels popular in the West, and the only way to do that is to support the companies attempting to do that. Edit: Oh I would sooooo sign up to mod requests forum just so I could nom on delicious "gimmegimme" souls. -
Shinigami no Kiss wa Wakare no Aji Summary "Is there something you want to leave behind for your loved one?" A young boy and girl lived in a small seaside town. One day, the boy invited the girl to the sea to convey his feelings to her. However, she lost her life in an unforeseen accident. Months and years later, the boy continues to live in the place where his memories with her remain. He can't forget her, yet he must. Our protagonist, Amamiya Makoto, spends a peaceful everyday life with his younger sister, Shizuku. One day, he meets a mysterious girl, Kohaku, who has deep blue eyes and carries a giant scythe. "Can you see me?" she asks. None of the people around him notice her. "Oh. You'll die very soon, then." She is a shinigami. This is a relatively short VN with nakige elements and solid art. This is also the hardest walkthrough I will likely ever make. It'll all make sense when you read it. Ending Guideline / Suggested Route Order In order to get Kohaku's route, you must first get Shizuku and Honoka's routes. After completing those two routes, start a new game, and a new window will appear to allow you to choose which route you want to read. Appears that Fuwanovel doesn't like Photobucket. Uploaded them to Imgur in the same format and everything was fine. Sukisho! First Limit Walkthrough is completed. EDIT: Also threw up the Shinigami no Kiss wa Wakare no Aji "walkthrough," because...why not. EDIT: Sukisho! is finished 100% now. Did some updating.

Any particular reason why I can't use .JPG's in walkthroughs? Can't find where it says we can't, so probably blind. Or is it Photobucket that's the problem? I have all the info for Sukisho, just need to get the relevant pictures up.

Sukisho! First Limit Summary Sora returns to school, having recently been released from the hospital after a fall from a fourth floor window: an event which he has no recollection of. He soon discovers that he has a mysterious and standoffish new roommate, who despite being a childhood friend, he no longer remembers...much to his roommate's chagrin. This is a Boys' Love VN that is 30% Fluff and 70% Grimness. Suggested Route Order There are seven endings in this game, though one character (Hiromu) has three of them. Two of those three endings are the result of choosing a wrong choice, and one offers additional CGs. That choice has been noted in Hiromu’s route. Sukisho! also has a playthrough requirement. This means that in order to be able to access Minato's or Ran's endings, as well as the True ending, you must first obtain the "Friendship" ending. You can also get any of Hiromu's endings and accomplish the same goal, but for this walkthrough, I will be assuming that the first route you complete is the Friendship ending. JOAT-Translations is seeking a Quality Checker to check over every script of the Sukisho! First Limit Boys' Love Visual Novel. All of the scripts are ready to be checked. We are not looking for people to rewrite lines or offer suggestions for line changes; we need somebody who will go though every script (there are 129 scripts) and make sure that all spoken lines have quotation marks around them, that words are spelled correctly, and that the game is as perfect as we can make it. All edits will be placed on a separate document, where you will need to note the script number, the line number, and the error you located. We will go in and fix them as a batch. You need to have a good command of the English language. I actually bought a copy of Yume Miru Kusuri in 2008 from a thrift store for USD$10. The owner said he had no idea what the game was about, but that is was rated Adults Only, and he wanted it gone. Apparently it was too much work to read the cover, but hey, I got a good deal on it. That was probably the one that got me interested in VNs. First VN-esque game I ever played was Snatcher for Sega CD. I loved the story - futuristic crime with just enough twist to make it exciting.

Is there any point in even buying used VN? Piracy vs Used

I work for a company that makes a large amount of their profits from used goods. Without them, we would have a very rough time. Essentially, for an item to be called "Used," it had to have at one point been bought as "New." Accordingly, the company has already received their portion of the profits for that item. If people decide that they don't like a game/book/cd/whatever, or they've finished using it and no longer need it, instead of sending it back to the store, who won't take it back because it's not the same quality as when it was sold (even if it's still in it's wrapper, after 30 days they won't take it), they take it to a store that does buybacks and sells it. This allows the company that bought it to sell it at a lower price to consumers, who will take the risk of buying a used product, thus resulting in a profit for the used goods company, and since the company that had created the item already got their payment from the "New" sale, it's essentially free publicity for them. Eventually, somebody who buys something used will buy something from the same company new, and at the end of the day, everybody is happy. I handle anywhere between 1500 and 5000 buybacks a day, and anything I buy back is something I would play in my household. Many times you're buying essentially a new product that had the plastic covering removed, and therefore cannot be called new. The discs will be in excellent condition (and if they aren't perfect when I buy them back, we resurface them, and all is well with the world), and the risk you're ultimately taking is whether or not supplemental material (ie: Guidebooks, Digital Codes) will be there/work. Visual Novels, in my opinion, would follow the exact same procedure. H-Manga, or something similar, however, I'd be wary of buying back, but that's for reasons that may or may not be obvious. TL;DR, Buying a used product is essentially free publicity to the company that made it, because they've already made what they expected to make on that item. EDIT: I'm dodging the Piracy question entirely. -
I'll go ahead and make the comments that needed to be stated in regards to this game. 1) The project is no more than 2% translated. We created a very minor patch to verify that our text would insert properly, and that with proper font files, etc, copied, the game would be readable. The text was barely edited, and you don't even get a proper introduction to all of the main characters. Accordingly, the test patch was internal only. Granted, the patch did work for all intents and purposes, but there wasn't enough to do anything with. Not even demos are 3 scripts long. 2) We don't have an actual translator. A few people have attempted to machine translate, only to have those of us who specifically stated "No Machine Translating" delete those lines, as they didn't even make sense. Any legitimate translator we HAVE had has dropped the project and/or disappeared. This one speaks for itself in terms of how a project is actually going. 3) Most of us have dropped the project in general, not because we aren't fans of the series (I am a massive fan of the X-Change games myself), but because we didn't have the right people to begin with. I am included on this list. If somebody fluent in Japanese wanted to come in and work on this, they can have the scripts. Get a hold of Kaz for a link to the Google docs. If you have additional questions, like how to get in contact with hackers, etc, Kaz should know all of the answers. The official status of this project is Dropped. As such, if a mod could lock this thread, I would be grateful.

Hi all. JOAT Translations is seeking a translator for a few H-Scenes for the Visual Novel "Sukisho! First Limit." I don't have an accurate line count at the moment, but we are essentially looking for somebody to translate five H-scenes. If I had to guess, I'd say somewhere in the 500 lines area. It's not an incredible amount, but we would sincerely appreciate the help. A few notes: This is YAOI. Boy on Boy. If you don't like Yaoi, don't post. These are Sexual Scenes. Boy on Boy sex. If you don't like Boy on Boy sex, don't post. They are in Japanese and need to be translated into English. Don't post if you don't have the ability to do this. No machine translating, period. Chicken Divers and Rain Dancers are essentially done. 99-100%. Might need a quick readthrough. TDA00 is currently being worked on. There is supposed to be a patch consisting of the first 1160 lines of TDA that'll come out once we figure some stuff out, as well as the finalized CD and RD. Something about images having some problems or what have you. As for an actual total, you have all the numbers you need to know -
