Hanahira , and it's the same setting as Sonohana. Katahane is an odd one that allows you to switch protags from time to time. The side story in the middle is a Shoujo Ai though. You'd love that, I'm sure. It's one of the only games I've given a 10/10 Amaranto seems decent. And of course TRD:Toko!

Okay, summer's upon me, and now I'm going to have a lot more time to...do nothing. I work, I play the piano, and I sit on my computer at work. Well, you guys can help with one of those things: I'm seeking piano sheet music from your favorite visual novels. I could find plenty of stuff myself, but I want to see what the community wants. I plan to either record video or audio, and upload it to YouTube to share with the community. So link me the sheets either here or in a PM, and I'll get to playing it! I may or may not also be using these as ideas for Ren's competition...

If the review didn't give it away, I really did enjoy this piece, and for the price tag it was definitely worth picking up. Even if I hadn't received a review copy, I still would have dropped five bucks to grab this. My primary reason for enjoying this is the genre itself. I love music, and VNs that have it as a primary theme I tend to enjoy. I actually am going to sit down with one of the writers and have a nerd session with them - I'm really looking forward to it! I already voiced my dislikes - primarily the writing style and the character sprites, but after playing through the Prelude a second time, I can say that my list has not increased. I did catch a few things on my second playthrough that I really liked (namely some of the lower-key jokes), though my favorite girl is still Toko, with Ginxhou following closely behind. I just like Toko's reactions, and while I find more deadpan characters amusing, I do like characters who typically overreact to every scenario. I'm under the assumption that this price will remain the same for the remaining games, which would put the full thing at $20 for what I can assume will be around 10 hours worth of story. That's a solid number, and a great place to be. Though if they do add voice acting (there's discussion about it), I can see this number going up slightly. But even then, $10 a chapter is still a price I would be happy to pay for the entertainment.

Depends on the genre. Here's a general list: /r/visualnovels, Aarinfantasy, E-Hentai forums, Fuwanovel, LemmaSoft, 4chan For Sukisho, we gathered most of our members via Aarinfantasy, and our QC approached me via our website. For the various nukige projects I head up, most of my members are through here or E-H. The problem with E-H is that most of them accept require "donations" for their time. If the project is something other than a vanilla story (ask me for the genre list I'm willing to do, I dare you), typically you can bug me to edit it, and chances are I'll say yes.

I normally don't suggest this, but if you want something like a JRPG... Pretty Soldier Wars? Cannonball? This one's pretty neat, if you like Racing. Also, did you play the expansion to Dengeki Stryker? If you didn't, get that.

Not sure where you live or what site (the US one or their main site) you bought it from, but standard shipping can take over a week from the date they actually sent it if it's being sent domestically. Since they didn't include a tracking number, you can't even confirm they've shipped it yet. If it's domestic shipping and you don't have it by the end of this coming week, contact them. International can take 4-6 weeks if shipping via standard rates. Keep all your receipts though, just in case.

Windows 8 will run most games perfectly fine as long as you set up locale and everything properly. If you don't, you'll get errors like on any other OS. Every game I've played on Windows 8 (~100, both translated and untranslated) has not caused any problems. And if it does, just install a virtual machine. Problem solved.

Honestly, that's pretty tame yuri, when all is said and done. If you don't like that, then I'm guessing you're not going to like two girls going at each other with toys. If there's a specific genre or fetish you prefer, that's going to get you a long way toward finding things you'll like.

No blackmail? In nukige? That's a tall order. That's like the easiest way to get sex in nukige, y'know. Here's a VNDB search that has tag "Nukige" and removes tags "Yuri," "Yaoi," and "Blackmail," and only shows games with English translations that are sorted by rating from best to worst. Note that some may only be partial translations - can't filter those out as far as I'm aware. Cum on! Bukkake Ranch. Monster girls. Little bit of yuri, but not the main point of the story. X-Change Series. Gender Bender stuff. Solid. (Also on that list is Seitenkan, which is another really good gender bender) The Jewel Stars games are decent. Lots of tentacles. Boob Wars - Some yuri in this one, but it's minor. JK you've read it. Secret Sorrow of the Siblings - Okay, it's blackmail. But it's still good. Horny Bunnies! - I haven't played this in quite a while, but if I remember right it was decent. Didn't rate it on VNDB though...perhaps I should play it again. You're limiting a LOT of stuff by saying no Yuri / Yaoi from the translated perspective. Generic boy/girl nukige without fetishes aren't really that common. And most of them are licensed titles as well. Marunomi is a lot of gameplay. We don't work for porn! Lilium x Triangle is Yuri. Dual Phase is Yuri. EDIT: Okay, done editing this. Links updated. Most of my friends offline call me Rye or Chu. When I was playing WoW and all of my friends were over working on homework or playing games or whatever, I would always say "Ryechu casting (spellname)," because that's what we were asked to do. And then my friends would ask me "Why do you call yourself Ryechu?" And then they'd start calling me it, too. Then it just sort of stuck. I don't have a problem with it at all, so long as it's not a derogatory name.
