  1. Score isn't showing for me. Can you link the beatmap and say what score you got? EDIT: nvm it shows in the quote lol. Nice score too.
  2. Thanks for showing me this. However, I'm having an impossible time getting it to compile. It seems to have been written in visual studio 2013. I have visual studio 2015 and 2017 right now but neither of them will compile malievm and it doesn't look like you can get visual studio 2013 anymore. Have you personally gotten malievm to compile? If so, how did you do it? EDIT: Snagged visual studio 2013. No luck there either. EDIT2: It seems there were a few mistakes(?) in the code itself preventing it from compiling. I 'fixed' them and it compiles for me, but crashes immediately after startup. FINAL(?) EDIT: So, light script editor works okay for getting to the actual text, but its editing capabilities are too limited for what I want to do. Furthermore my attempts at repacking data3.dat proved fruitless. I'm likely not going to pursue this idea again for a while.
  3. Gotcha. I asked a few other places as well an no one seems to know how to open them. I can actually look at it with a hex editor and see lots of game text, but idk how to decompile it to a usable/editable state.
  4. A strong contender but I am confident Love Love Chau will remain supreme. What is this, a gallery of urban landscape photographs? Gonna be honest, that one seems like it's a little bit /too/ self-aware. Love Love Chau is funny because pretends to not know how bad it is.

  6. Ah dang I thought I looked at that one too. Thanks though! Actually, the only exec.dat I can find is in data3.dat. Yo, so I've now run into some trouble. The reason I didn't find the script files initially is because I couldn't actually open exec.dat with any of the tools I have on hand. Do you know what specifically I can use to open exec.dat?
  7. Right now I'm rooting around in the files of the Dies Irae steam release. I'm looking for the scripts files but for the life of me I cannot find them. There are 3 archives, data1.dat, data2.dat, and data3.dat. data1.dat contains the images, sound effects, and bgm. data2.dat contains all of the voices, and from what I can tell data3.dat mostly contains menu files and images. Everything in data2.dat is a .ogg file from what I can see so I'm pretty sure the script files aren't in that archive. data1.dat and data3.dat are an absolute maze of subdirectories though so I can't find what I'm looking for. I've encountered plenty of text files but none of them seem to be the actual scripts. The script files also don't seem like they're outside the archives either. Does anyone happen to know where exactly the Dies Irae script files are?
  8. Just finishing all routes and actual endings. I don't care about 100 percenting premature bad ends or unlocking all CG. Like in F/SN I didn't try to get all the tiger dojo scenes. Same goes for games in general I guess. I think I only got about half the endings in Nier: Automata but I got all of the real endings. I got a fair number of the joke endings too but I didn't feel like trying to get them all.
  9. They've got some heavyweight projects going too. I'm excited to see how they do. Also interesting to see that they have a Yuzusoft title so I guess Sekai didn't get an exclusive deal with them.
  10. Yeah, I realize you have some partnership with the Libra team but the Libra team is not actually handling any of the translation. I was just pointing out to Thatcomicguy that the Libra team is trying to fix the quality of their translation after their initial poor quality release, which is nice to see considering some other high profile VN localization companies like Moenovel seem content to leave their VNs in an unreadable state.
  11. Quantity over quality eh?
  12. Tragedy of the century right there, but yeah, I know.

  14. As I understand it, 18+ version is the most original version with no additions at all. All ages version replaces h-scenes with alternates scenes, and contains an additional route that comes from the PSP version of the game. Actually it would probably be most accurate to say that 18+ version is the original version, and the all ages version is a port of the PSP version.
  15. Also F/SN's Emiya but the best version of that is from Prisma Illya and not any of the VNs, which is kinda disappointing.
  16. You should just document your fix and post it here in case someone goes googling for this problem later on.
  17. I've seen this before. It probably works well if you grew up thinking and visualizing that way, but for the rest of us the amount of intersections gets out of hand pretty quickly as the amount of digits increases. I can't imagine anyone that didn't grow up with this method being able to do it in their head very well.
  18. Worth noting that the Libra TL team is working pretty hard to clean up the translation, which is nice to see. They should have gotten it right the first time of course, but I'm glad they're putting out the effort to fix their mistakes.
  19. Hoping Sekai will pick up Mashiro Iro Symphony since they did KoiSaku from the same company. Actually I'm kinda torn on that one. I want to read the VN pretty badly but it's also one of my primary motivators for learning Japanese and if it gets localised that motivation will be gone. Also The Human Reignition Project that is coming soon™.
  20. Gotcha. I've been warming up to the idea of continuing from where I left off for a while, regardless of the severity of the spoilers. I probably will go back to it eventually although it's about fourth in my priority list right now behind Grisaia 1, Dies Irae, and Princess Evangile. I consume vns at a glacial rate though, and I might want to marathon the rest of Grisaia after I finish the first one. It could be a few years before I get back to Koiken Otome lol. I get where you're coming from, but I live for that embarrassingly cheesy dialogue. At least in regards to romance. On the flip side though, things like Fate/Stay Night's pseudo-philosophic monologues make me want to quit reading altogether they're so bad.
  21. Koiken Otome: Found out I should have started with a different route because all other routes spoil the one I should have started with. All motivation to keep reading evaporated. Noble Works: Kinda just slowed to a halt over time but the real nail in the coffin was was a scene that brings up some traumatic memories for me. Hate Plus: Overwrote my save files. EDIT: Forgot about Euphoria. Read through one ending. Seemed like a very neutral or lesser bad ending. I was at home at the time, where I had to read in the living room at night after everyone else was asleep, cus', y'know, it's Euphoria. I decided that was too stressful and to wait until I got back to school before continuing but never got back into it.
  22. So, Rafis took #1 global from Cookiezi yesterday, and with the new top pp play no less. I feel like Cookiezi would have no trouble taking it right back if he wanted to, but he doesn't seem to want to.
  23. You guys amaze me with how easily you identify VNs.
