  1. The true MVP.
  2. The game was made in Unity. This tool can open up those .asset files and the level# files: https://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?22675-Unity-Assets-Bundle-Extractor The files are kind of a maze though so I can't really point you towards the location of the script files right now (I am looking though). I'm also not super familiar with the tool but it looks like it has some functionality for repackaging things so you should be able to make a patch.
  3. Oh, that's awesome! Guess I'm gonna be following this then.
  4. There hasn't been a post on the developer's site in nearly two years so the project is likely dead. Kind of a shame though because I kinda like seeing fan remakes and expansions like this. Whether the original actually needed any further elaboration is up for debate I guess, but it's still a cool project.
  5. Despite some philosophical issues I really enjoyed the Death March LNs that have been translated so far. The anime is painfully low budget though and idk if I can keep watching it. The OP is nice though.
  6. Jast has a sale going as well but none of their newer, better licenses got any discounts. Only a bunch of nukige they've had for like a decade now. I was hoping to pick up Eiyuu Senki, but I guess that's too new to mark down.
  7. Basically everything on the Denpasoft portfolio is on sale to some degree, and most of the deals are pretty good. The sale goes on until the 19th I believe. Some highlights: 10-50% off the Grisaia trilogy 50% off Saku Saku 20% off Chrono Clock Most of the steam patches are dirt cheap rn I personally snagged Grisaia 2 and 3, and the steam patches for Neko-nin and both Karakara games. I thought about getting Saku Saku too but my backlog is massive as it is so I'll wait on that one.
  8. Reading Clannad twice sounds exhausting.
  9. When you make the list by beating a dead meme into the ground
  10. More games inbound in ~6 days. Anyone got any speculations about what they might be?
  11. This one will change your life: https://vndb.org/v13259
  12. I have an old Windows 8.1 tablet that I'd like to use for reading some epubs, but it likes to forget its touchscreen drivers after a few minutes of being on. So far the only fix I can find is to, via mouse or keyboard navigation, delete the driver entirely and restart the device.
  13. I am going to completely ignore all of these warnings like a smart person and post my extra links here. First come first serve basis n' all that. Sunrider Liberation Day Karakara 1 Fault Milestone 1 Fault Milestone 2 Above Huniepop Huniecam
  14. Have any of you guys tried out the lazer client? It looks really nice, but it gonna be a hard adjustment. Especially the slider-head accuracy. That's gonna tank a lot of people's scores for a while until they get used to it.
  15. I gotta stop reading threads like this because my "to read when I can read Japanese" list gets longer every time I do.
  16. Deal with Nutaku in any way shape or form.
  17. I'm pretty skittish and secretive so I haven't really been caught in any awkward situations, yet. When I'm home I don't read VNs until /everyone/ in the house is asleep at night. I have to read in the living room so I sit at an angle where anyone in the house would have to walk in front of me if they decided to wake up and roam the house. I listen with only one earbud at like 2% volume, and to top it all off I make sure there are no reflective surfaces like windows behind me. If I could still read without my glasses on I'd do it in a hearbeat to avoid /that/ reflective surface betraying me. The rest of the year though I live in a single dorm so I can read whenever I want. I still tend to leave VN reading for night time though so I won't be disturbed.
  18. Yeah, a few months ago my hands were hurting pretty bad from playing too much. Then school breaks happened and I didn't play much because I was away from my usual setup. My play sessions are a lot shorter these days too because my patience for the game is wearing out. Between the two things my hands are feeling a lot better.
  19. Oh hey, you're a mouse player. I've always admired mouse players. Your aim just tends to be so much prettier to watch than tablet players.
  20. Yeh, wait for something to go wrong before reading. Otherwise, the likelihood that that readme is only going to tell me licensing information and system requirements is too high for me to want to read every readme I encounter. That said, I do skim every readme I get from github because those are generally very important.
  21. I actually went looking for that song when I first heard it. It's called 'Tomorrow Never Comes' by Datascape, and the only place it seems to exist for sale is on a compilation on iTunes from Nightingale Music. Nightingale Music seems to be a company that makes/produces music for film and television. They're also based in Canada which is why the song is all in English. Since they appear to have never released another song, my guess is that Datascape was some in-house band for Nightingale Music that wrote the song and broke up immediately afterwards. Nightingale Music doesn't seem to have any other interactions with the Japanese VN scene so idk how Clockup noticed them and decided on this one super obscure song. EDIT: lol, Nightingale Music has a portfolio section that lists all the projects they've contributed their music to and they conveniently left out Maggot Baits. Now why in the world would they do that? Thought you might be interested in this too.
  22. The Human Reignition Project although I'm kinda worried about it. Like, the project isn't actually dead, they posted an update in December, but I think they underestimated the scope of the game by /a lot./ We're coming up on two years past the original projected release date or something.
  23. Kirby Air Ride. It's a really relaxing game but really only fun if you're playing with a group.
  24. The Boats of the Glenn Carrig
  25. I've never really tried playing stuff that's out of my league with no-fail as a learning method. I will say though that I find I improve the most when I play maps that are uncomfortably fast. These are still maps I can get a pass on without too much trouble, but I usually can't maintain any real combo/score on them because I don't have the consistency for that tapping speed yet. Even so, just getting used to the speed tends to have a trickle-down effect that improves all of my skills at the same time.
