Let's not derail the thread too much, people. This isn't a topic about fuwanovel's goals. I think a subforum only for OELVNs is kind of overkill, but if the launched fan translation projects are going there too I'm fine with it. There should be enough demand for it.

It's not nearly close to any of the real "vile and disgusting" VNs, though. If we're talking about writing quality, A profile is better than the other ones you mentioned. I put it there for all routes, not only Miku's one.

Well, can't really argue with that. G-senjou and Himawari are indeed miles better than A profile.

I've read all of them and I stand by saying A profile is better than the othes. Never could get into Dengeki Stryker, the whole thing just seems ridiculous to me- ikikoi, shinkiss, otoboku and osanadai are just generic VNs. A profile at least is somewhat remarkable. Edelweiss enters my top worst VNs of all time, though. The comedy is cringe-worthy and the whole thing is just a cup of boredom. Can't really please everyone~

I did say VN talk or GD- VN talk for actual teams making VNs and GD for stuff like "hey, is there any artist to help me?" and discussion of story concepts that may or may not become VNs. You can see the sections as dump if you want to, but I think GD is a proper section, at least. There's a bunch of cool stuff there.

By "currently happening" I meant the active projects that are getting lots of feedback and such- A lot of those are more ideas than anything. Oh well, if you really want to make a subforum go ahead. I just think it's unecessary.

I never said it belonged in G&C, though. The thing is- how many projects like that we have here that are currently happening? 2? 5? I wouldn't agree with making a subforum for so few projects.

It's overkill. We don't have enough VN development teams here for them to warrant a forum of their own. This can just happen in VN talk or GD, it wouldn't make much of a difference. I'm against adding any more forums at the moment. It'd just make the site layout overly complicated and there isn't enough demand for any new forum right now.

We can do either of them. If we delete a post, it'll stick around in a place you can find in the mod control panel, so you can reestore it for a certain amount of hours before it is completely deleted (or you can just permanently delete it from there). If it's hidden, it'll still be in the thread, but normal members can't see it.

Wouldn't really care if members were able to delete their own posts. In fact, I'd probably browse all of my content and delete half of my early posts since it wouldn't be authority abuse anymore, lol. It isn't much of a big deal to begin with. I don't remember the last time I deleted a post for non-serious reasons (save for double posting), must have been several months ago. I'm against deleting threads, though. For reasons already mentioned above.

Rewrite aside (which is kind of a second-rate chuuni game with Key heroines), stuff from Jun will generally be the exact same, not only the ending (which would be more acceptable). Hell, I don't even know if Jun wrote Rewrite, I'm just assuming he did. That said, while I do dislike a lot of VNs, I hardly know who wrote them. Much rather remember the company who did it than it's individual writers. Guess I just hate any moege work, no matter the writer and dislike most of the charage ones. That seems legit enough. My major complaint about VNs is generally "why should I care about person X anyway?" so character-oriented drama and romance tend to fail miserably.

Well, I can't really change the site layout or anything. For this type of thing, you should ask Tay to see if it's possible or not. The maximum I can do is mess around with topics or sneakily add calendar events/site notifications

Well, it shows all new activity, not all new topics. You can just ignore the ones you viewed already and scroll down to find the ones you haven't. Shouldn't be a big deal.

Clephas already made a "VN companies and their habits" list from what I remember. You might want to check that out. Though if there is enough demand, I could make my own version of it~

There are Key VNs that end up somewhat low on the list, so they're probably being removed soon enough (when more VNs are translated). Also, the list is supposed to be beginner-friendly. There are newcomers to VNs who have no idea about type-moon, key, etc. If I really were to do this kind of thing, I might as well make a list with the "best" VN companies instead.
